All Frai could think about was thank GOD his dad drove to the lab to drop off his bike. He rode casually down the gravel pathway, watching as scattered trees wooshed by in a blur of green and brown. He smiled and closed his eyes. The sun was warm, the breeze was soft, and there were only a few scattered clouds in the sky. He opened his eyes, only narrowly avoiding a large rock in the middle of the pathway. He exhaled the held breath, his heartrate back to normal. He really needed to learn to be more careful...
Revelation buzzed away beside him, humming some odd tune to himself in a carefree manner. Fandon was in his backpack, trumpeting away to Rev's odd tune. Frai smirked. Seems that he had a miniature orchestra here, didn't he? He loved this, being a trainer, it was so exilarating. And he knew that anything could happen, at any time, anywhere. It was exciting...! Maybe he'd run into another wild Pokemon, or maybe even another trainer! He grinned to himself. He and his two Pokemon, they were gonna be the greatest team ever, and soon, nobody will forget the name Frai Kurusa, Fandon, and Revelation again.

In the trees above a Pidgey watched his head tipped slightly to the left and his golden eyes glowing in the light. Although the glow may have also stemmed from his extreme curiosity. What was that odd contraption the human was riding? Maybe he should see? Although if it was a pokemon he hoped it wouldn't attack him before answering. Not to mention that Scyther looked ready to tumble with someone. This Pidgey didn't feel like neither he was a scholar of sorts, not a battle hardened warrior. Scientific instead of rash and rude. Lacking the temper most often attributed to those in hs species, in reality his temper was replaced by a belly as yellow as his eyes. Some called it cowardice he called it caution.
Coughing to alert the trainer of his presence he jumed from the branch gliding down until he was at shoulder level with Frai. 'pidggggee'<Good day sir,Scyther, Phanpy.> His golden eyes had already strained from the travelers though, his eyes were only for the odd contraption the group was riding. It was truly a marvel, like a bird with wheels for wings! Utterly fascinating, so this was a 'Bike sicle'..(mispelled on purpose.) Odd but it was obviously very fast, seeing as even he had a hard time keeping up with it.

Frai continued to ride, not even noticing the curious Pidgey cocking his head at the trio. Fandon trumpeted loudly, and Revelation looked back at the newest edition to their group in a light curiosity. Frai kept his eyes on the road; he wasn't gonna make the same mistake again...
He swerved when the curious fowl flew in front of him. <Pidgeeee> it crowed, chirping and fluttering in front of him. Revelation smiled. <Saii...tha...!> (Ah, hello there...!) he chirped back, giving him a happy smile. The miniature pachyderm in Frai's backpack trumpeted again. <Faaaan...~!> he called musically (Hi there! <3). Frai blinked. The fowl seemed to be fascinated with his bike. "Heh, like it?" he said, giving the Pidgey a reasurring grin.

<Thank you for the warm greetings.> The pidgey replied with a nod to both the Scyther and the Phanpy. His ride around the bike going in and up and down pattern, up to the pedals, then down towards the left wheel, the smell of rubbr greeted him.Wrinkling his beak he flapped his wings away from the smelly tire. Realizing the human had questioned him he took a deep breath to reply, remembered that humans were to ignorant to understand their pokemon and so he simply nodded.
<This is a bike sicle correct?> He questioned to the Scyther and the Phanpy. His golden eyes were stilll shining with curiosity as to how this thing moved, it had someting to do wth that square doohivkey, and the two round circles. Wheels. Thats what they were, wheels.

Revelation gave the Pidgey a grin and a nod. <Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's what Frai's called it...but I've heard it just being called a "bike"...like some sort of nickname...> he said, shrugging, trying to be helpful. Fandon trumpeted again from Frai's backpack. The blonde gratefully took the backpack from off of his shoulders; the little pachyderm was kinda getting heavy...He opened the flap and Fandon quickly jumped--well, rolled out, tumbling around on Frai's lap for a second, trying to get his bearings. Revelation laughed. <He's still young,> he explained, grinning and buzzing his wings.
Frai grinned at the two flying monsters and wondered what they were talking about. Both were saying their names in earnest; they sure did have a lot to chat about...Frai grinned at the little bird when he nodded. "Curious little bird, hm?" he said as the small fowl flew around the bike, looking it over. Fandon squealed and watched the bird before exclaiming, <You should join us~!!> The mantis nodded in acquiesce. <You'd have fun! Frai's kind to me, and he doesn't even really own me,> Revelation exclaimed, giving the flying bird a grin.

The Pidgey nodded his head. <Humans do love to nickname things am I right?> Almost all humans named their pokemon, ignored the protests they made and often the name had nothing to do with the pokemon itself. Heh ad once met a Smale Snorlax named 'Buttercup' poor fellow. Turning his head slightly as Fandon rolled about in the new trainer's lap he couldn't help but grin. His golden eyes becomign a litgh with something akin to the glow of laughter. <I can tell that just by watching. Very loud isn't he?>
Neatly sidestepping the statement he asked a question that would lead to his answer. <Where do you plan on heading?> That was the only question he asked and the only one he requested a answer for. Maybe he'd say yes, as long as he could do as that Scyther did, and not be strapped to some humans waist and be forced to wait in the dark and miss all the wonderful sights that surely awaited them on the road.
The answer mattered to him quite a bit. It would tell him how much the human revealed to his pokemon, and if he knew how to stick to the path instead of merging away from it.

Fandon chirped happily. <I'm Fandon, that's my nickname~!> he said, lifting his trunk to sniff the Pokemon in front of him. Revelation grinned. <Probably a little too loud for Frai's liking...> he said, then looked at Frai, who gave him a raised eyebrow. The mantis grinned and gave him a sheepish, "whaaat?" expression. "If only I could hear what's going on in those conversations of yours," he mumbled. Oh, what he wouldn't give to understand their language. He always felt quite ignorant when his companion talked to him. They could be having a philisophical conversation! And he was missing out on it!!
<Anywhere and everywhere. We're just following the road for now,> the green mantis commented. <You could follow and be outside of a PokeBall; Frai despises using them. That's why Fandon here's outside in his lap,> he explained, motioning his skull to the blue elephant. Fandon trumpeted eagerly. <Yep, that's me~!> he sang, then suddenly snuggled into Frai's lap a bit more.

A young female trainer was walking along the path, mumbling under her breath about the weight of her backpack and how it made her normally uncertain balance even worse. Despite the fact that the route was called Isabella Plains, it was a bit hilly. Not big hills, of course, but small hills, and a lot of them. And Linzee Maraqwee had already taken a tumble down quite a few, much to her new Torchic, Pyric's, delight.
As she stumbled once more over some microscoptic pebble, she heard Pyric's chirping laughter, and caught herself in time to look up and see him tumble down the hill himself. She sighed and took her backpack off, reaching forward to catch him before he hit the bottom of the slope.
"You were saying, buddy?" She asked teasingly.
"Tor." He replied, struggling out of her arms, and hopping on down the slope.
Linzee sighed again, and followed her new teammate, glad that there was at least a path to follow. However, the path seemed to dislike her, purposely going over the worst of the tiny hills. So when Linzee saw the half-way big hill, she almost screamed out loud.
"You have to be kidding me! This is supposed to be a plain! A plain I tell you! Not a deathsite!"
Pyric was ruffling his little wings, laughing in a soft almost coo-like sound. Then he strutted up the hill. Linzee couldn't help but laugh, and maybe that was why she was so off-guard as she walked up the hill, a little faster than she had been walking previously.
"Hey, look, there's somebody with a bike." She mused, as she got near the top. Pyric gave her a look, and chirped.
<I already saw him.>, which to Linzee sounded like, "Torchic. Chick."
"Right." She said, stepping ahead, about to call out to the boy. But she hadn't counted on yet another rock to trip her, and she tumbled down the hill, coming to a stop only when she hit the bike. "Ow!"

The pidgey watched as the girl rammed into the bike. Now he was really glad he had moved upward to talk to Revelation. Glad that he was no longer hovering where the girls head had met the metal rimmed rubber thing. <What is it?Ah--> He had asked as the girl had rolled down the hill. Now he raised a ring to stifle any answer the Scyther had been about to give. No need it was a human and a little orange chicken.
With the new arrival any of the answers he had been about to give Revelation flew away from his mind like a spearow from a flock of Pidgeys. Something new, something odd, that was what consumed him. Cowardly he may be n battle but when it came to information he was the very image of a bold and brave hero, pr the coming of one.

Linzee rolled over, into a sitting position, at the chirping of the Pidgey. Her head felt like she's ran into a brick wall. She scrambled to her feet after a few seconds, looking around at the boy, his Scyther and Phanpy, and the curious Pidgey. Pyric was rolling on the ground, laughing.
"Shuddup." She mumbled, shooting him a warning glance. "Err, sorry about that." She looked up at Frai, and felt her face warm with embarrassment. She knew that, being so pale, she was probably bright red right now.
Figuring that she couldn't hurt the situation anymore, she decided to introduce herself. "Um, I'm Linzee. I'm usually not this clumsy, honest. Maybe it's the grass..."
Pyric had been controlling his laughter until just then, but her words sent him into another gale of laughter. His trainer was a klutz, but he still loved her. It was hard not to.

Frai watched the two become immersed in conversation. They chirped their names happily, and, for now, he was content to just watch.
That is, until a large thing rammed into his bike...
He yelped and backed away, only to see that it was a girl and a Torchic, who seemed to be quite tickled over the whole thing. Frai blinked in slight confusion, but knelt down. "Er, you okay there...?" he asked, staring at the pale girl. She was blushing furiously, which made him grin, too. It was a pretty comical sight, no matter how you looked at it.
"Um, I'm Linzee. I'm usually not this clumsy, honest. Maybe it's the grass..." she said sheepishly. Frai smirked and raised an eyebrow. "Ah, so that's why your Torchic is laughing so hard over there, right...?" he said, holding out a hand to help her up. "I'm Frai. Those guys over there are Revelation--that's the Scyther, wherever he went off to--and Fandon. They've been chatting with that Pidgey over there for a bit. Now, come on, let's get you up." He grabbed a hold of her arm and hoisted her up.
Revelation, in fact, had flown off to the highest part of the tree he could reach. He peered down at the two and, deciding it was safe, buzzed back to the intelligent and mild mannered fowl. Definately not like his cousins the Spearows...those things scared him dreadfully...the mantis shuddered at the thought.

Linzee somehow managed to turn a darker shade of red. "Yeah, he needs to work on his manners." Linzee sighed, giving Pyric a dirty look. Pyric rolled his eyes and muttered under his breath. <She needs to learn how to walk.>
Looking around, she saw that the other Pokemon, who had spooked when she took her tumble into Frai's bike, were returning. "Er, hi." She said, trying to show she wasn't completly insane. Turning back to Frai, she smiled shyly. "This is Pyric, by the way." She said, pointing at Pyric, who had wandered over to Fandon and Revelation, and was attempting to start a conversation.
<Hullo, I'm Pyric.> He shuffled his small yellow wings, and blinked in a friendly way, seeing as he couldn't really smile with a beak.
Feeling quite stupid, Linzee focused her gaze on the ground, wishing she could sink into it. Or turn invisible. Yeah, that'd be sort of nice. She'd made a fool out of herself, and she'd barely even started her journey. Maybe she wasn't cut out for this...

Frai laughed along with the small bird. "Don't worry, we all fall sometimes," he said nonchalantly. Him, falling? That was more like an "always." Revelation, hearing this comment from his friend, snorted and fluttered his wings a bit. Sometimes... <He falls a lot, he's more clumsy than she is,> he explained to the Pidgey and the Phanpy. Fandon trumpeted softly. <Hope he doesn't fall on me~!>
he sang, grinning and giggling as he began to roughhouse around on the dirt floor. The Torchic ambled over to the tiny group of Pokemon, introducing himself and blinking friendly. <Hi, I'm Revelation!> the mantis said cheerfully. <I'm Fandon!> exclaimed the small pachyderm from the floor, grinning happily. <We just met up with this Pidgey over here,> Rev said, giving a grin and gesturing over to the roosting Pidgey. "Are you just starting too?" Frai asked, suddenly blinking. Duh, she had to, she was on Route One and had only a level five Torchic. He shook his head, but waited for an answer anyway.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Linzee looked back up, flicking her head to get her bangs out of her eyes before answering. "Yeah, just got Pyric a while ago. 'Course, I'm behind in age. I didn't get a chance to start at ten."
Pyric chuckled, he had already taken a liking to the Phanpy, and the Scyther seemed like a good friend, too. <I haven't done too much yet, or see any other Pokemon since the lab. Keeping Linzee from killing herself on accident is a full-time job. I hate to think about her actually trying.>

Frai nodded. "I got into the game a little late...I'm 16," he said sheepisly, giving her a smirk and glancing over at Revelation and Fandon. That Pidgey was still there...maybe he wanted to travel with them? Or Linzee, too! He turned. "Are you in a group now? Or do you wanna follow us?" he asked eagerly. It'd be nice to have some company on the trip...well, at least some human company.
<Hahah, it's the same deal with me; Frai's obnoxiously clumsy,> Rev chuckled. Fandon blinked up innocently. <Really?> he asked, blinking with widened eyes. <You'll find out sooner or later, Fandon...he almost killed me AND himself pleanty of times,> Rev explained, turning back to Pyric. <Wow, I've never been in the lab except with Frai...is it cool in there?> he asked, blinking at both of the lab-oriented monsters.
