Linzee grinned back, "I'm 15." Shyly, she looked down, considering whether or not to go with him. Human company would be great, and if they met any big obstacles, two would be better than one. Plus, he seemed nice, and was sort of cute...No! No! Linzee, do not think that!
"Sure. I'm not traveling with anyone right now, not that I really know anyone and...Yeah, I'd love to go with you." She said, blushing once more. God, I need some social skills...
Pyric, meanwhile, was tuning out the other Pokemon's conversation. Not on purpose, something had just accorded to him. This was plain, with lots of dry grass...And dry gras caught fire easily, right?
"Tor..." He mumbled, and walked off towards a tree, tilting his head this way and that. It was all so perfect! He wasn't old enough to really control his fire-powers into an attack, but he could shoot small flames that would make bigger flames that would be pretty!
He opened his beck, forcing small sparks of fire to shoot awkwardly out. A small fire quickly began, afterall, everything was dry and perfect for making a fire around here.

Frai laughed. She seemed quite the nervous little thing, he assumed as she began to ramble with her sentances. "Great! Two's better than one, definately," he said decisively, giving her a grin and pushing up his glasses. He blinked and looked at the small Torchic who seemed to be preoccupied. "What's he doing over there?" he asked to nobody in particular before suddenly blinking.
Dry grass.
And a Fire pokemon...
A small fire began right by his bike, and he quickly called Fandon over. Thinking fast, he knew that fire was an advantage over ground. "Fandon, kick some dirt onto the fire," he said, his control over Pokemon seemingly effortless and calm, despite the fact a fire was burning. Fandon blinked and did what he was told, kicking dirt and gravel over the fire. It was extinguished within a few minutes.

Pyric looked disappointed for a moment, his eyes were still wide from gazing into the fire. Then he puffed himself up, so that he looked bigger than his normal size. <What was that for? It was pretty!> He pouted at Fandon.
Linzee, however, looked first shocked, then mad. "Pyric! Be nice! Do you want to make it so we can't go with them? 'Cause you're not making a very good impression!"
Pyric shrunk back down, his feathers lying flat against his body. <But it was pretty! I liked it.> He chirped, though she couldn't understand him.
"Yeah, you better apologize. Now." Linzee continued.
<Nooo!> He replied, turning his back on Linzee.
"Fine, don't apologize for nearly killing us all." Linzee snapped, but she was smiling now. Great, they were going to be a great pair. A pyro chicken and an emo girl.

<Well hello there Pyric.> The Pidgey stated politely nodding his head to the rambunctious fire-type. Fluffing his wings up he turned back toward Revelation, the lab sounded interesting enough, but they had been talking about something rathr important. Now what was it?Even though he sat there for a full minute and wracked his brain he found that the subject they were formerly conversing had been forgotten. <Now as we were saying efore Revelation..what was it exactly?> He may have been smart but he could only process one extremely interesting thing at a time.
As would happen as soon as his golden eyes latched onto the flame. Forgetting that he himself had asked a question he watchedas it ws extinguised. Clapping hs wings together, in what he wagered was a human like sound of approval he praised the Phanpy. <Excellent job Fandon! Bravo!> Odd words for a Pidgey to know, but know them, and the meaning of them he did, he considered himself a human researcher, one who told others about humans and their odd ways. Such as that odd red coloration on the girls cheeks. The one who made habits of rolling down hills. The one who owned the Pyrotic Torchic who did love setting fire to various objects. Hopefully a Pidgey wasn't anywhere on his list of fire-setting goals. Hopefully not.

Frai sighed through his nose and ran a hand through his blond hair. "Heh, that was pretty close," he said, smirking. "I guess it's only fair, though, he is a Fire element, after all," he said. "You should probably cut him some slack...plus, he's a baby still." He smirked at Linzee, scratching the back of his neck. "Heh, I can't believe I'm sticking up for some pyro chicken that almost set us on fire..."
<We were discussing you joining our group,> Revelation remarked, his red orbs looking at the Pidgey. <I'm sure Frai would love to have you; he would probably only use his PokeBall to catch you. He keeps everyone out of them at all times at any other point.> He grinned at the bird before the bird began to clap his wings together for the small elephant. <Thank you~!> the small pachyderm sang, grinning from floppy ear to floppy ear. He raised his trunk in salute, causing Frai to chuckle softly. "He's too energetic for his own good," he mumbled, then glanced at Linzee. "Who said your chance was getting ruined? My Fandon can deal with Pyric's antics, everything's fine," he said cheerfully.

A wavy-haired girl ambled leisurely up a small hill, whistling cheerily as she walked. Her Pokemon, a Chikorita named Bailey, trotted along beside her, pausing occasionally to inspect an especially vivid flower or stare at one of the many Beautifly flitting high above her pale green form. In fact, it was while the little pale green Pokemon was gazing upwards at one of the delicate winged insects that she noticed a wisp of obsidian drifting about. "Chiko?" <What is THAT?> To Abby's slight surprise, Bailey darted ahead, the emerald leaf on her head flapping slightly in the breeze. "Chiko! Chikorita!"
Snapping out of her flower-scent induced trance, Abby gazed in slight surprise at her Chikorita, who was standing ahead of her and gesturing at a small brush fire in the distance. "Chiko!" But even as the Pokemon alerted her, the blaze was extinguished. "Huh, wonder how that happened..." Abby mused to herself. In a few minutes her question was answered; as the teen breached the next small hill, a pair of trainers and crew of assorted Pokemon became visible in the distance, along with a Torchic. "Oh, look! More trainers!" Abby cried happily. "I bet that Torchic there set the fire... Not that it needed much help I'm sure; everything's all dried out! Well, wanna go say hi, Bailey? ...Bailey?" It turned out the small green Pokemon was way ahead of her trainer; Bailey had run up to a Phanphy, and was waving her leaf in greeting. "Rita!" <Hi there!!>
Groaning to herself, Abby darted ahead to join her Pokemon, who was rubbing against Linzee's pant leg. "Sorry about that," The wiry teen apologized before picking up Bailey and cradling her in her arms.

Linzee blushed. Geesh, over-reacting was too easy to do. "Uhh..." She couldn't think of much to say.
<Why congradulate him? He killed my pretty!> Pyric complained to the Pidgey. Suddenly, a thought occured to him, and his eyes widened. His feathers pressed closer to his body. <Is...Does everyone hate me now?>
Linzee felt her heart tug as she saw her Torchic wilt, for lack of a better word. She wanted to hug him, but knew that spoiling him wouldn't be such a good idea...
Suddenly, she felt a rubbing on her leg, and looked down to see a Chikorita. Hearing the green leafed Pokemon's trainer apologize she smiled.
"Nah, it's fine. She's cute." She said.
Pyric instantly snapped out of his 'sad-mode', and hurried over to the new arrivals. "Tor, tor!" <Hi, there! Are you really flamable? 'Cause if you are...I'm sorry if I accidently set you on fire, I'll try not to!>
Linzee could only imagine what the Torchic was saying. She really didn't want to know.

A flash of yellow was seen on the hill, and ti became bigger as it approached the two travelers and their various pokemon. The odd yellow crature stood about knee height, with vibrant orange eyes that were currently narrowed in fustaration. Abov his eyes two light yellow feather like appendages blew back in forth in the calm breeze. Looking back up he barked a few words , in pokemon anyway. 'Statiiiiile'<Hurry up Aubre.> Pausing for a second he nodded as a average heighted girl, which was hard to tell under the curve hiding hoody, appeared through the bushes. Finally, took her long enough.
"Achill---es there is a path for a reason. Its to help keep us safe." Aubre mumbled, her eyes trailing down to the ground, in front of her the Electric Dragon walked on ahead. His eyes trained on the group of people and Pokemon, his trainer hadn't noticed them yet, seeing as all she ever noticed was how many pebbles were hid in the dust beneath her feet. Shaking his yellow head the male Statilee picked up the pace, walking right past the group, stopping and turning around as he laid his gaze on Fandon, Pyric, and Bailey. They were very familiar. <You too? Stupid trainers.> He questioned all three of them. They all had been raised in the same lab after all. At least one had to agree that the new life was better.
Aubre paused , and almost tripped over her little 'friend' pausing to see what he was looking at she turned her head toward the group. she had interrupted something. "Sorry." Her voice muttered as she turned slightly only to feel a pair of white claws grapple at her pants, and stay there. With a sigh she continued looking at the ground, anxious to be away from these nice folks, and go back to looking at the road. yet...fumbling in her bag she managed to pull out her pokedex, and flip it on. Quickly she pointed it to each of the pokemon, making sure the entries and pokedex worked properly.
------ The Pidgey peered at the Scyther. <I'll follow you around for a while. Then make my decision at the end of Route one. If you don't mind of course.> After that his mind trailed to the little yellow monster. The one that was smiling at him with very sharp, very clean fangs. He was obviously contemplating what he needed to do in order to eat the pidgey. Or wondering how easy he would be to beat down. <Woud you mind not staring at me like dinner??> the dragon shrugged and turned around.

The blonde blinked as he watched another girl come up the beaten path, stumbling after her Chikorita. Of course, the Pokemon was faster and she easily beat her master to the spot of congregating trainers, rubbing against Linzee's pantleg. Frai laughed and watched as the small Torchic ambled up to her and began to speak. He was so deflated only moments ago...it was pretty humorous...
<Why would we all hate you?> Fandon asked innocently, blinking and suddenly hopping after the small chicken to meet up with the new Pokemon. <Hi there~! I'm Fandon, what's your name?> he asked, his bubbly self being shown. The Scyther decided to stay behind, watching and nodding to the Pidgey. <Of course we don't mind,> he said. <We'd love to have you around, at least for a little while.> He turned, only to see a Statilee amble towards the small group of baby Pokemon. He suddenly peered hungrily at the Pidgey, and Revelation rolled his eyes. Oh, brother...
Frai blinked to the first girl, the one with the Chikorita. "I'm Frai, and that's Linzee," he explained, motioning his head over to the pale girl. "What's your name?" He blinked and frowned, seeing a girl running after her Statilee. "Hey, you didn't interrupt. I guess our little group's pretty popular, huh?" he said, smirking. "Like I was saying, I'm Frai, and that's Linzee."

Linzee, while smiling on the inside, was cursing fate and her luck on the inside. How come there had to be two other girls? Why couldn't there have been another guy, too? There was someone up in the sky laughing at her right now, she was sure. She mentally shrugged. It wasn't like Frai could ever have liked her, anyway. There were much prettier girls everywhere and...
I'm insane. I've completely lost it... She thought, the part of her mind who sometimes gave her advice snorting in laughter. Well, it's not like you help! Oh...Now I'm arguing with myself! That's worse than just regular talking to yourself, isn't it? Probably is...
Pyric looked at the yellow monster, his eyes widening. Almost anything was bigger and more threatening looking than he was, but this was something else. His eyes widened, and he hopped over to the other Pokemon, looking at the claws on Achilles' feet.
<Linzee's not stupid.> He defended his trainer, <I like her, and she likes me. She's my bestest friend.> He flicked his head to either side quickly, as though popping his neck, though he didn't have much of one. <But if you take that back, we can be friends. And I'll show you one of my pretties!>
Linzee wasn't all too interested in the new trainers. After all, she'd probably be seeing a lot of them later on anyway. What she was interested in was searching for new Pokemon, so her gaze focused on the horizen. She just wished one would come, something to help her prove she wasn't completely useless, as she was almost sure the others, especially Frai, thought. She sighed softly, not seeing anything other than the Pidgey already there. Why couldn't something come for her? Was she just not good enough? She already felt like a loser here, she needed to prove to herself and everyone else that she wasn't. Afterall, Frai already had two Pokemon, maybe three if Pidgey went with him. Jealousy burned in her stomach. The only thing in the world that cared about her was her pyro chicken.

((Hey guys, the posting order shall be Frai, Linzee, Abby, Feather. Frai passed that that on to me. ) Bailey grinned as a Torchic with vivid yellow and orange feathers scurried up to her amiably and chirped a rather odd greeting. He was closely followed by a floppy-eared Phanphy, but the Syther hung back, seeming slightly reserved. “Chiko, Chikorita!” She replied cheerily to the other Pokemons’ greetings, hopping out of her trainer’s arms and onto the dry, crackly grass beneath her feet. < Hi guys, I’m Bailey! Nice to meet ya! >--------------------------------------- Abby grinned, nodding to both Frai and Linzee in turn. “Hello there! I’m Abby… Commonly known as the spazzy one. That Chikorita over there is Bailey; I just got her from the lab.” The teen noticed Linzee seemed slightly uncomfortable; there was some sort of strain behind her smile. For a moment there was an awkward silence on Abby’s end; for once in her life, she could not come up with something to say. So, the wavy-haired teen sat down cross-legged in the crunchy bracken. Chikorita strolled up to her and gave her an affectionate rub before bounding away to play with her new friends.

The Statilee merely grunted at the Torchic. Then taking his time he slowly replied to the mere statement. <Even if I take it back I still said it. Doesn't matter.> There were a few Gems of logic embedded in tthat sentence. Walking over to the back of the bike he sniffed the scyter. At least he didn't talk all the other little crib buddies. They became very annoying after a while. His mouth hurt from talking so much. No point in being as stoic as usual now. <Achilles. Yourself?> The name while not one of the best but it fit him just fine, he would have hated it ,IF he had been informed of where the name had originally stemmed from, and that his trainer was basically calling him the weak point.
Aubre smiled unsure. Then in a voice barely above a whisper she introduced herself, really not sure if it was true or not: "Nic--e to meet you. I'm Aub-re." What if they weren't nice to meet? They might only seem that way. They all seemed willing enough to strike up a conversation, and out of their pokemon the Scyther seemed the most dangerous. At least he didn't walk on four feet, and have a lng muzzle full of teeth. In other words he bore no resemblance to a canine. So he was bearable, in fact no one here had chosen the little Grista. Even if its last evolution was more Ponyta then Arcanine it still terrified her.
The Statilee peered over at Aubre. Where three thin lines of flesh was visible just above her knee. He hadn't meant to grab ahold of her leg that hard. Heavens only know why that girl hadn't changed her pants yet. Or why she didn't yell at all! Two ladies at the pokemon center had called her a boy, three older girls had laughed at her, and 'accidentally' spilled something on her hoody, which she hadn't changed. She neer had taken that thing off, and he had been around her for a whole day!She was one odd human that was for sure!
Aubre meanwhile had wen back to looking at the path. A steady smile now on her face. She had more pokedex entries then these guys already. At least she was doing something right. Twenty pebbles in this area. Odd. There were 19 over there. As they kept walking closer to the next down the amount of gravel seemed to increase.Of course she wagered all town's paths did that.
--- The Pidgey nodded his thanks to the Scyther. Looking up at the two new girl's his eyes paused on the really uiet one, she was a girl..wasn't she??

Frai blinked at the seemingly uncomfortable Linzee. She was starting to act incredibly strange...her eyes were so empty and her smile seemed strained; did these two have a past or something. He frowed in confusion. "It's nice meeting you, Abby," he said cheerfully. trying to break the harsh mood. He then turned to the girl...right...? He blinked once, twice, then took a quick sly glance at her chest and proved to himself she was indeed, a girl. She stammered out her name quietly; boy, and Frai thought he was shy...he smiled anyway. "Hi Aubre! Hey, why don't both of you guys come follow us? We were just starting to go to the end of Route One and go from there."
<Hey, that was mean Achilles!> Fandon said. Revelation shut his eyes. Oh, God...he was too innocent for his own good. <You do have quite the mouth on you, don'tcha...Name's Revelation, the pachyderm's Fandon. But for being so rude, you're pretty sharp too,> the mantis noted, cautiously narrowing his eyes. He blinked and tore himself from his reverie and grinned at the new Chikorita, Bailey. <Nice ta meetcha Bailey~!> the blue elephant sang cheerfully, practically forgetting all about the Statilee. He suddenly blinked and frowned, looking at the pyromaniac chicken with a suspicious gaze. <Heyyyyy, what's one of your "pretties"...? Is that a fire again? I don't like putting out fires!> he complained, sitting down suddenly with his ears drooping and his trunk sagging dejectedly.
Frai turned and noticed and raised an eyebrow. "Hey, Fandon, what's wrong...?" he asked gently, walking over to his new Pokemon. <Phaaaaanpy fan fanpie...> he said. <I don't wanna be a fire extinguisher...> He pointed his trunk at the small chicken and the fire for emphasis. Frai seemed to get it and laughed, putting his hand on the little elephant's head. "You did well, though, you saved the day!" He grinned, and the Phanpy seemed to brighten up a little. <I'm a HERO!> he suddenly exclaimed, puffing out his chest and raising his trunk high.

Pyric tilted his head to the side, looking at Fandon. <But the fire was so pretty.> Shutting his eyes, he let out a soft sigh. Apparently no one liked his fires as much as he did. Maybe Linzee did, though. She had only said that the others wouldn't like it if he set things on fire... He let out a soft chirp of excitment, and walked over to Linzee. "Torch!" He squawked, and promptly set her pant-leg on fire.
"Holy shitaki mushrooms!" Linzee cried, trying to put the fire out, but only managing to get it to spread onto the grass, too. She could picture how her leg must look by now, it was burning, lots of big blisters to take care of later. Without another thought, she dropped and rolled. Apparently the firemen who had taught her fire safety class hadn't figured on her being in a field of dry grass, though. She might not be on fire anymore but...
Pyric was jumping up and down in excitment. The pretty flames were getting higher as the grass burned up. His eyes widened as he watched it jump and dance.

Abby's eyes sparkled eagerly at Frai's offer, and a grin began to creep across her face. "Sure! I'd love to accompany you guys! Erm, as long as you'll have me, of course." The wiry teen glanced expectantly at Aubre, waiting for her to accept Frai's invitation also.
It was because her gaze was focused on Aubre's face that she didn't notice the tiny pyro-manic scurry up to Linzee and shoot a few experimental flames at her pants. In fact, Abby didn't notice the now-blossoming fire licking up the girl's pant leg until Linzee emitted a screech of "Holy shitaki mushrooms!" and dropped to the ground as if hit by an invisible anvil, rolling to and fro in the field of crunchy bracken.
Hmmm.... Shitaki mushrooms, Abby mused to herself while fumbling in her bag for a waterbottle or something of the like, I'll have to remember that...
"Aha!" The teen shouted triumphantly, producing a pack of baby wipes from her pack. Hey, they were the wettest things she could find at the moment. Quickly, Abby tossed one of the soggy things into the roaring blaze, watching as it instantly disintegrated. "Well... I suppose it was worth a shot..."
