Aubre stared at Frai, perplexed. "We--ll- I don't see wha--t coulllld possibly go wrong with this many of us. Yet......" In other words if a dog pokemon ran by she did have someone to hide behind, Achilles would more then likely push her into one, and laugh as she screamed in terror. Yet could they be trusted? What if they were not as nice as they seemed to be?The fellow who had tried to murder her had seemed just as nice as they did at first. Until he had lost that is. Then he had turned into a stark raving crazy man.Could any of them be like that? The closest to being him so far was her own pokemon. Achilles.
A flash of flickering shadows drew her eyes up, and onto the girl's burning pants. Fire.Fire was very bad. Not to mention none of them knew how to put it out! She did, but no one would listen to her. Yet what if the fire jumepd over to her, like the Houndoom's had? She really didn't want that! Reaching into her backpack she pulled out a bottle of water, and held it out to anyone willing to take it. She oculdn't go near the inferno! Even if it was small and relatively harmless.
Yet before she, or anyone else could put the bottle of water to use Achilles sighed. Why had they ended up with this crowd of idiots wasn't his bashful trainer bad enough? <Useless> The little elephant was more courageous then the rest of them. But Achilles would have to take care of this. Walking calmly over to the area around the girl's burning pants, he picked up a peddle laden pile of sand and threw it at the general area, before bending down and doing it again. This wouldn't put the fire out, but it would kep it down until one of the human's decided to put the fireo ut instead of throwing moist napkins on it.
Aubre meanwhile watched as Achilles began sweating. He wasn't a fire type after all! Oh why hadn't she picked that Totodile!? It was because deep inside the onl water pokemon she had wanted was a Mudkp! Like she had used in the Battleschool, but no she had to be stubborn and go completely around water and pick this little monster! WHY!? She had absolutely no idea. Maybe she shouldn't be a trainer at all, she should go back home....and help her mom.

Frai grinned at both girls. "Great! The more the merrier!" He blinked and gave them a grin before turning in surprise when Linzee exclaimed "Holy shitakee mushrooms!" He stared. It was that bird again! He blinked and smirked; despite the whole situation being completely dangerous, it was quite humorous, especially to watch as Abby threw some moist towelettes at the blazing fire. At least Linzee's pant leg wasn't on fire anymore...and the little Statilee seemed to be taking care of the situation. But he peered closer, seeing him sweat slightly. The Torchic looked pretty proud of himself...
"Fandon, go help Achilles," he told his Phanpy. The little elephant puffed out his chest proudly and romped over, using his trunk to help spray sand onto the blazing fire. Revelation groaned. Great, a pyro chicken, a snobby dragon, a hyper plant and a baby elephant. What a group of misfits...He smiled to himself and flew down to the site of the blaze and began to help, kicking sand and gravel. The three of their efforts finally let the blaze diminish, sputtering to a smoking pile of debris.
Fandon and Revelation both turned to give a glare to the fire loving bird.

Pyric gave them his cutest look, hoping to divert their anger. Then he turned to Achilles and, keeping the same cute, innocent look on his face, chirped. <Told you it was pretty!>
Linzee sighed, dropping to the ground. Her leg hurt like hell, and when she pulled the bits of pant leg off her burnt leg, she saw angry red blisters all up and down the skin. Part of her thrived with the pain, the other part of her wanted it to stop. A third part of her wanted to find a place to change so she wasn't walking around with one long pant leg and one that was burned off above her knee. It was a few moments before she realized that, despite the blisters, you could see a few old scarrs on her leg from when she had cut herself. Eyes bright with pain, she tried to get up, but only managed to fall back down as pain laced up her leg.
"Pyric...I love you and all, but was this nessacary?"
Pyric tilted his head as he looked at his trainer, on the ground with her leg red and blistering. He hopped over and pressed against it, hoping to make her feel better. He was prepared for the shriek of pain.
"Pyric! That...hurts!"
"Torchic..."He muttered, pulling away and giving her an apologetic look.

Abby sucked in her breath as she noticed the angry red sores plastered across Linzee's leg. "Ouch... That looks like it hurts," The wavy-haired girl said sympathetically. Abby wanted to help, but she didn't really know what she could do without making Linzee's wound worse. Unless.... Rummaging in her bag for the second time that day, Abby pulled a Burn Heal out of her bag and presented it to Linzee. "I don't know exactly how it'd work on humans, but..."
Meanwhile, Bailey was peering closely at Linzee's leg with crimson orbs, being careful not to touch the burn in case she caused the human discomfort. "Chiko..." She chirped balefully, feeling bad for this poor girl. Shooting a angry glare at Pyric, she trotted over toward Abby.

Achilles turned away as soon as the fire was out. Shrugging hs shoulders he walked away. It was hte girl's fault for picking a little Pyro chicken. No one elses. Just like that overly giddy Chikorita was the product of to much sugar, and that girl had picked her. Achilles turned his head, his orange eyes narrowed as he stared at Fandon, and Revelation. He hadn't needed their help. Crouching low on the ground he looked up at his trainer. Why hadn't she run yet? unless......NO! There was no way he was going to stay here with this gang of happy brigaders. Although it was entertaining, and they likely did need his help, so he'd stick around as long as they kept their hugging to themselves. Unlike the other pokemon he didn't glare at Pyric, why he had made this group more entertaining.
Aubre meanwhile looked at the girl's burned leg, memories flashed through her head. Hearing the comment from Abby she muttered quietly under her breath, a tinge of fear in her voice: "Looks like?It does hurt." Seeing her pull out the burn heal she opened her mouth to say something about pokemon objects often backfiring when used on humans, but then she decided to say nothing on the subject. It wasn't her place to explain, what if she was wrong anyway? She hadn't been to school in a long time. What if she was wrong? She probably was.
Achilles turned away from the Pidgey and trotted off into the woods, he needed to fight something, just to prove that the fire hadn't bothered him.Frustarated by the lack of life that was usually foudn in such a forest he turned back and walked into camp. Laying eyes on the only creature higher then him. That Scyther, that would be fun to fight. <Revelation, excuse me?>
Even Aubre instantly knew that something was wrong his growl that laid under the surface was gone, had been replaced by a series of perfectly polite happy chirps. She didn't like this, not one bit. What was her pokemon planning. keeping her head down, and tryig to provide a hard to hit target she kneeled down next to Achilles, and reached out her hand to touch his head, and get him to loo kat her, before her hand was half way there however he let out a low growl. ---
The Pidgey observed the red blisters up and down the girl's leg. He was now glad he had met Frai before the fire chicken and his trainer. Glad that he was traveling with the boy instead of the thing that wanted to see how quickly he burned into a pile of dust. <Pyric, do not set fires in a forest.> he admonished, trying his best to ignore the dragon as it paced by him.

Frai winced as Linzee went to the floor, her leg badly blistered and glaring an angry red. Looking closer, he could see the scars that labeled her pale skin, but he knew that he shouldn't say anything about it. He might talk to her later, but, it was her life and none of his buisiness, right? He adjusted his glasses and blinked at the pyro bird. "Looks like you made a nice choice in Pokemon..." he said sarcastically, raising an eyebrow. "Abby, what're you gonna try and do with that...? I thought that Pokemon items can backfire?" he asked, frowning. He turned to Aubre; she looked as if she was going to say something. He paused, but she shut her mouth. Huh, must've been thinking the same thing. Smart cookie. He opened his bag and rummaged around for something to use...he had to have something in here...after all, he used to wanted to be a doctor so badly, why wouldn't he have a bag of...
Herbs!
He held them up triumphantly and blinked. Crap. He forgot which ones were which. "Does anybody know how to sift through herbal medicine?" he asked, a little sheepish. Stupid...he wouldn'tve even mentioned them, for he knew nothing about them, but a girl was hurt and needed help. He hated feeling ignorant...
The pair of Pokemon blinked as Achilles's orbs narrowed at them, as if telling them that he was fine just on his own, thank you very much...Revelation shook his head and smirked. Prideful little lizard, wasn't he? But he was speaking to him now, and quite politely. The mantis narrowed his eyes. <Yes...?> he answered suspiciously, wanting to know what the little thing wanted. Fandon blinked, confused. But, but...this little dragon was so mean before, why was he being so nice all of a sudden? He thought and thought, lifting his nose high in the air until he sagged once again, sitting down, thinking hard. The mood swing in Achilles, it was too much for the poor elephant to comprehend.
Revelation laughed in agreement. <And don't start fires on your trainer,> he added, raising an eyebrow, not unlike how Frai does.

Linzee gritted her teeth, letting the others discuss the herbs. She didn't know anything about them, or about Pokemon items backfiring on humans. She was the one who always got hurt, but she still didn't know much about medicine. Smart...
Pyric's eyes were full of tears by now. He hadn't meant to hurt his trainer, he had just been playing around. And now everyone was mad at him. He let out a high-pitched wailing noise, and was surprised when Linzee, despite her pain, grabbed him up in her arms and hugged him.
"It's A'ight..." She said, teeth still clenched to fight off the pain, "I still love you, buddy."

"...I thought Pokemon items could backfire...?" Abby drooped considerably upon hearing Frai's words. "I didn't really think of that..." She said downheartedly, tossing the Burn Heal back into the bag where it landed with a dejected "plop". Man, do I have a lot to learn!
Bailey’s crimson optics narrowed suspiciously as Achilles flounced up to Scyther in an angelic manner, chirping a greeting in the politest possible tone. All the traces of his normal surly scorn were gone... THis couldn't be good.

Turning away from the scyther, he opened his mouth: <Revelation..well..> Stopping midsentence he began to wonder what was the best way to get his point across? He wanted to see if his trainer knew what she was doing, or if she didn't even know a Tackle from a Skullbash. Yet he couldn't ask a favor of someone and be THAT rude about it.Narrowing his orange eyes he sighed and whirled around, his bright white claws digging furrows into the ground, clenching in anticipation.Looking up at Revelation a toothy grin crossed his face. <Battle? I need to see what that girl can do.> Aubre saw the little dragon turned towards her, his mouth still fixed in what to him seemed to be a friendly grin, but to Aubre he looked like he was about to eat her. She had still been kneeling beside the dragon, but at that 'smile' she was up on her feet, and near Frai. "Oh my, what COULD they be talkin--g about." Surprisingly enough, this was directed at Frai.Whatever it was she didn't like it, h why did it take so long for them to talk like normal humans? Maybe going into the lab finally had been a bad idea, her poemon was a bully, what if he bullied the wrong person? Aubre would be to blame, she was supposed to bbe his trainer after all.
Turning to watch Linzee she was amazed to see that she didn't shrink from Pyric. In fact she did quite the opposite, and hugged him gently to her chest. Achilles would likely chew off her hand if she had tried to do anything like that. Why wasn't she scared? That evil little chicken had tried to set her on fire? Yet he seemed sorry, had that Houndoom ever been sorry when she had tried to eat Aubre. From the spitting and growling she had done as Aubre was carted away in the ambulance she doubted it. The chicken wasn't that bad for a firetype, just a tad on the confused side.
-- The pidgey laughed, and ignored the thoughts of battle Achilles had brought up. His trainer didn't look like the kind to like fighting, she looked much more like she wanted to hide under a mountain, and never come out. "That too little Pyric. Pausing he continued to tell him what not to do. Glad that his trainer had already forgiven him. " Also do not start blowing flames in town, human structures are not built to stand up to your 'pretty' little flames"
Stretching out one of his long wings he slowly began to preen it, pulling the feathers out with his beak, and cleaning them of any dirt. Nothing to interesting, but that was because they hadn't moved yet.

Revelation narrowed his eyes, staring hard at the mouthy little Statilee. A battle, he says? He wants to battle...hmph....his occules narrowed. Well, he already was losing; the little monster had a huge advantage over him. You see, he had wings, and if he had wings, he was a flying type. Achilles was electric. Revelation blinked and mulled it over before suddenly making his descicion. <Okay, Achilles, we'll battle.> He grinned. Now, he just needed to make sure that he didn't get hit by any of his attacks, for Frai's sake...He swallowed. Frai's totally apathy for the mantis could easily be deadly with just a simple Thundershock attack...after all, Pokemon were much hardier than humans are; Pokemon can endure attacks like that time after time.
Frai turned his gaze to Aubre and grinned. "I don't really know, but by the way Rev's starting to get that gleam in his eye, I think they're gonna try to battle. Will you be ready?" he asked, looking back to the green mantis and the yellow dragon. He blinked and turned back to the shy girl again. "We need to heal Linzee's burn, it looks bad...do you have any idea about herbal medicine?" he asked, holding up the baggie. He assumed that she was the type of shy girl that wouldn't say much of what she did or didn't know unless she was asked to say it. He was trying to break her shell, mostly. He remembered those days of being that painfully shy, where he wouldn't talk to anyone unless spoken to. And it seemed that Aubre had a much harder life than he himself did. He wondered what happened as he awaited an answer.
Fandon trumpeted a little bit. <Yeah, and don't set fire to grass most of all! Especially dry grass~.> he added, trying to be helpful. He liked the little chicken and wanted to make sure he was okay, so he hopped to the trainer and the Torchic and nudged both of them a bit with his trunk, being careful to avoid the ugly blisters.

Linzee smiled, though she was still biting her lip. Apparently Pyric still had some friends, he'd be fine. She let the little chicken jump from her arms, patted Phandon on the head as thanks, and watched as Pyric began chattering excitedly.
<I'm sorry, but we're still friends, right?> He chirped, sticking one yellow wing outwards in a sign of friendship. He had seen humans 'shake hands' before, but it wasn't exactly possible for him to duplicate that action. After all, he didn't have hands, just short stubby wings. <'Cause I really like you.> He added, eye brightening at the thought of having Phandon as a playmate throughout the whole journey. <And I realize I was bad.>
Linzee reached into her bag and pulled out a bottle of numbing paste, perfect for burns, cuts, etc. for humans. It wouldn't help very much, but for a few moments...It would work. She carefully dotted it on her leg, and felt it completely numb after a few moments of intense pain. She had almost forgotten she had had the stuff, mostly because it had never really worked for her and it had been mostly her mother's idea for her to bring it.
"That's a bit better." She sighed, pulling a handkerchief out and wrapping it around the worst bit of the blisters.

Out of the corner of one crimson eye, Bailey noticed Pyric hopping up to Phandon; apparently the two were friends again. Still slightly angry at Pyric for having the nerve to set light to his trainer, the little green Pokemon sat huffily down on the dry grass beneath her. "Chiko!" The grass Pokemon muttered to herself. < I'll never forgive him!>
Apparently, forever lasts about three seconds, for after that amount of time Bailey grew tired of sitting in one place all alone and bounced over to Pyric and Phandon, emerald leaf on her head bobbing cheerily in the breeze. "Chiko!" She chirped, indicating a stunted tree with an outstretched paw. < Wanna race guys? First one to that tree wins! >
---------------------------------
Abby watched silently as Linzee grabbed a bottle of ointment and smeared it generously on her blistered leg. "Numbing medicine?" The teen mused aloud, watching as Linzee wound a bandage around one of the worst outcroppings of welts. I wish I knew something about medicine... The teen thought glumly; I hate sitting here and watching Linzee's pain without being able to do anything!

"I...well...I really haven't battled in a long time...really..but Pausing for a minute she ponder,ed and shakily nodded. "yes I do guess I am ready when you are." AUbre stuttered. What if she didn't remember how to battle, or broke a rule. She really didn't want to make these folks mad, what if they didn't like her, and kicked her out because of it. Lifting her eyes from their stationary position on the ground she let her green eyes stare into Frai's for a minute. The tiniest flicker of excitement was buried under the apprenhension and nervousness, and was shown by the gleam that began to shine in her eyes. Then it was snuffedo ut as Achilles ran up to her, and glared.
<You better not mess me up.> He mumbled to Aubre turning to wink at Frai, and smile his hungry little way. His eye slanted up slightly to stare at Revelation. While he may have looked battle hardened he seemed muhc to kind, and fluffy to really be a good fighter. In fact his courage may have matched his yellow belly to a 'T'. Yet if he was coward he woulnd't be fighting would he? Letting out a odd noise between a pur and a gurgle, which was a younger dragons roar he stomped his feet on the ground. <Finally, fun.> Finally some action. Some fighting, and a way to show these little babes who was truly boss around here. HIM!
Aubre listened to Frai speak about herbs, and ask her. 'Well If anyone here has a Kelpsy berry along with a cheri berry it miiight make a nice ----poul-tice. Or a few herbs would do it." Pokemon Preparation 101. One of her favorite classes, not because of the caution it helped you gain, no in fact it had much more to do with the acting one got to do, and the gory videos they put on. She no longer could stand those kinds of things though,, she had lived in one. For 6 months she could have been a star in one of the preparation movies. A very bad star who didn' come out on top.
<Lets go.> He could care less about some herbs and berries. Really now. Aubre wasn't stupid, but she seemed to know more about homemaking then pokemon. If only he knew the truth of it, that she had been one of the top battleschool studens, just one who forgot how to cope with vicious pokemon. Even if that had been her second favorite class.

Frai suddenly swallowed, feeling beads of sweat in his temples. He thought that the little dragon wanted to battle with his starter, Fandon, not with Revelation...he had no idea if the electric pokemon knew any thunder attacks, but, either way, he knew that it'd...well, it'd hurt. A lot. He gritted his teeth and suddenly became incredibly serious. Whenever Frai was preparing for battle, his personality dramatically changed to very intense. He moved a strand of blonde hair behind his ear and narrowed his green orbs.
He turned back to Linzee, making sure that she was holding out. The girl had wrapped her leg up, so she could hold out. Plus, Aubre seemed to know what she was doing with her berries. He smirked and nodded to the shy girl. "Okay, then. We'll fix it after we're done." He widened his stance and nodded to his giant mantis, who's expression had also changed. They both started to move together, tightening up their muscles as they watched Achilles move into his battle position. Revelation smirked slightly, his attitude not unlike Frai's. <Don't get too cocky now, little guy.> He began to buzz his wings, his red eyes glinting with excitement.
Frai blinked and suddenly barked out a command. "Revelation, use Leer!" he shouted, his face narrowing into a determined frown. He fisted his hands at his sides and pointed a finger, and Revelation did exactly as told. The mantis put every ounce of trust into his best friend, and, even though he wasn't really his to command, he still did anything he wanted.
Of course, Fandon was completely oblivious to the suddenly serious air in the road and proceeded to trumpet happily to the Torchic. <Well, just don't do it anymore!> he said happily, then shook the yellow wing with his trunk. He turned to the Chikorita and grinned. <I'll get there first!> he exclaimed and suddenly took off quickly, a burst of dust clouding behind him as he ran as fast as his stubby legs could carry him to the tree.

Linzee ignored the pain in her leg as the battle began. Pyric hopped into her lap, not interested in the race. The two watched intently as Frai completely changed, becoming much more natural when he was in the heat of the battle. Interest shone in both sets of eyes, trainer and Pokemon alike, just as the battle shone in Frai and Rev's.
