Linzee shook her head, smiling a bit at Aubre. "Not really." Perhaps eventually they could be friends. Linzee was watching the other Pokemon, when the two Meowth and a Dia appeared.
Upon seeing the Dia, Linzee's heart stopped. Dia were rare, the rarest thing on Route 1, and Linzee adored them. They were differant, and...She shook her head shaking those thoughts away. As soon as it approached Pyric, though, Linzee felt her head spin. This was awesome. Stuff like this didn't ever happen to her.
"Looks like my luck's changing." She said softly, nodding to Pyric.
<I'm always ready.> He replied, eyes lighting up with excitment at a battle.
"Right, Pyric, start out with a Growl, then Scratch." Linzee commanded, knowing he couldn't yet use Ember. Perhaps his random fire-spitting would come in handy in this battle, though.
Pyric nodded, narrowing his eyes and letting out a growl. It wasn't very intimidating, it was actually adorable coming from the little red chicken, but would hopefully do as it was meant to and lower the Dia's attack. She seemed strong, and they'd need all the advantage they could get. Pyric drew in his breath once the growl was done, and whipped his taloned foot at the Dia, claws pointed straight at her.

Frai nodded slightly and grinned. "Yeah, Rev needs a Pokemon Center, and so do I..." he muttered sheepishly, wincing as he tried to move his arm. Of course, the Static did it's job, and his arm was completely frozen in place. His green orbs turned to Linzee and Pyric, who were suddenly faced with a Dia. He blinked and turned just in time for the Meowth to lunge right at them. His teeth gritted together.
"Another one already?!" he barked, before whirling around to Fandon. "You ready for your first battle?" he asked the blue pachyderm. Fandon's eyes widened and he trumpeted. <Duh! I've been waiting!> he called out excitedly, then quickly ran to the scene, his nose high above his head and ears flapping. He widened his stance, narrowing his beady orbs at the Meowth. His head lowered. Oh, it was incredibly amusing to see a little elephant try and look intimidated! Frai smirked at the small Phanpy and took a deep breath.
Revelation looked back at the Pidgey and lowered his gaze to the battle. His wings buzzed as he roosted right next to the small pidgeon and watched the ongoing battle ensue. <Wow, Fandon's first battle. And Meowths tend to be quite powerful> he remarked. <I hope the little guy can handle it...>
<Oooh, this is so exciting!> remarked Fandon, not hearing the mantis' conversation. Frai smirked and adjusted his glasses with his free hand and blinked slightly. "Fandon, use a Defense Curl, then give the cat a Tackle!" he barked, gritting his teeth. Fandon did as he was told and curled up his blue body tightly like an armadillo's, raising his Defense Stat. The Meowth seemed to be a pretty high level, making Frai's eyes narrow dangerously. This could end badly for the two of them, so they'd need to be quick about the attacks they gave. Fandon seemed to understand this too, and he automatically lunged his blue body at the feline to give it a Tackle.

The Meowth bursting out of the tree caused a natural reflex in Aubre. This is of course the reaction besides letting out a muffled yelp, she pulled out her pokedex. The thing had remained on since the battle with Frai, and now it went through its rounds. It ignored the glaring Statille, and came to rest on the orange and black Dia, whose information flashed across the screen. Creepy rumors about those things. Bad luck, that was what she called them. shivering slightly sheturned back to the Meowth and was glad to see it had to be a lower level then Achilles. Achilles on the otherh and seemed to be staring past the Meowth and into space, his mouth miming words that couldn't be heard.
<You look like a drowned Swinub, and here I thought you were supposed to be graceful pokemon.> A cheeky grin on his face Achilles charged forward, ignoring his trainers mumbles of 'hang oo--n'. Aubre had been in control last battle, and he was only going to listen to her if he liked the idea. Besides she probably didn't even know about thundershock. If she did , it wouldn't matter, what fun was a battle he spent the whole time growling? None, he wanted to rip the little bird apart more, but this third rate crony would have to do for now.
Closing his eyes the Stailee let out a pur of pleasure. Then he leaped towards where the Meowth had been standing. Thunder crackling around his body, like a coud encasing lightning, every once and a while a spark came off on its own, farther away, letting out a ominous 'CRACK' sound, much like thunder, but was much, much quieter. Thundershock. His feet were splayed out, to take his wieght if the Meowth dodged, the majority of his torso was leaning over, so he would be in a better position to dodge, on all fours.
The Sparks subsided, and they had blined Achilles for a few seconds. Of course in that short span of time, the smile on his face was crueller then anything to date. Of course that opinion might have been helped by his eyes, that seemed to bee sparking themselves, and giving off a gleam. Satisfied with himself the Statilee closed both of his eyes, only to hear a command shouted, and confusing him.
"Do--dge." The little dragon looked up, and with a dropping stomach realized he hadn't charged forward at all, and had been sitting there imagining that incident in his head. Damnit. Jumping backwards, he leaped forward, claws open to hook around the fat cats head, sparks were flying now, this time they seemed to orignate from his narrowed eyes. That had been a damn dream! <Drowned Swinub!> That was all he had at the moment.
I didn't like that smile beforeh e attacked. I really hope he isn't a bully...I ha--te them. Them of course referring to bullies. Sparks!? Pulling the Pokedex out of her Hoody pocket she scrolled down the move list 'Thundershock'..and he was level 9! (510)

The cat deftly leapt forward towards Achilles, one paw landing on his head, propelling the Meowth further ahead. He landed a foot or two away from Aubre, turning to face his dragon opponent, tongue sticking out in a mocking way. <You'll have to be faster than that, Slower-poke!>
The Meowth stared down at the little Phanpy curled up into a ball and smirked. This was to easy . Lifting a claw, as if to send the little blue ball flying he was adequately surprised when it transformed back into the Phanpy. The Meowth hopped out of the way clumsily, his foot hitting the ground, and leaving him teetering dangerously to either side. A perfect tackle target. Of course both sets of claws were both out, and the hit had only grazed him.
The Dia meanwhile was not so easily fooled. The Dia let a smile cross her face as the squeaky little growl rang out. Shaking her head at this display she flapped her wings, and seemed to disappear; Dia's were some of the fastest fliers in the world. Now behind Pyric the Dia let out her own attack. The orange flag behind her head following the motion of her tackle.
"Pa Pa?" The rustling of leaves from a nearby tree as a creature dropped down onto one of the lower branches, just visible by the others in the area (if they were to actually bother looking for it, that is). A strong tail gripped the branch as the Pokemon dangled in midair, swinging back and forth gently as it eyed the people and other Pokemon that had invaded its space. Not like he intended to fight back or anything...but still, they could have the decency to ask first!
The Aipom released its grip on the branch, falling behind a bush that had been growing under the tree, peeking out of it. A bird and two cats...working together? The world was coming to an end! He knew these Pokemon, he recognized them. They lived in the same wilds he did. All the others (and there were a LOT of them) were new. He would wait to see what they were like before doing anything. It looked like a battle had broken out...something he didn't enjoy. At all. <Yuck.> Stated he, in disgust. Why he was even still around was beyond him, but he couldn't bring himself to leave for some reason beyond him.

Frai gritted his teeth. Damn, the attack only had grazed the Meowth, who had been surprised at the quick transformation of the small pachyderm. "Fandon, use Odor Sleuth!" he called out, his eyes narrowing. Odor Sleuth normally wasn't a very good attack to use, in his opinion, but he needed a move to bide his time, and raising accuracy never hurt anyone, right? Plus, the Meowth might have known Double Team or something to that extent for all he knew...
Fandon trumpeted heavily and quickly sniffed around, catching the feline's scent and committing it to memory. His own beady eyes narrowed not done

Pyric's eyes narrowed angrily that his growl hadn't worked as planned, and was distracted when the Dia began her attack. The sheer speed of her flight made him feel blind, as she seemed to disappear into thin air. He was wondering where the black bird had gone, when he felt her slam into him from behind. With a soft growl, he got back to his taloned feet, fixing the bird with a glare. He hadn't had time to use his own attack, and this angered him further. It didn't seem fair, this was his first battle and he had no idea what to do.
Linzee noticed his despair, and quickly acted.
"Hey, hey, Pyric. It's ok! You're doing fine. Now, just focus, and try Scratch again. Do it fast, though, or you'll miss..." Linzee trailed off, realizing if Pyric did miss, he could very well fall forward and be in a horrible position.
Pyric didn't realize this, though. His trainer's words had cheered him, and he took a moment to check his opponent's position. With a loud sqwuak he aimed his claws towards the Dia, and forced them towards her.

Achilles whirled about on one heel. Snapping his jaws at the space the Meowth had formerly been. Both of his orange eyes seemed to be alive with electricity, and anger of course. Taking a step forward he took time to reply to his taunt: "At least I don't have a head the size of a football." Ready to dive forward with a thundershock his trainers voice let out a order, slowly, and broeknly. Even worse then usual. She obviously didn't like having a Meowth with claws at least 3 inches long standing directly in front of her. "Achilles l----eeer." The little draon rolled his eyes but decided to do what was requested of him. Narrowing both his eyes he stared at the Meowth, and used what was left over to glare at the Dia. Just because that thing was his! The next order came quicker. It even left Achilles off balance.
"Poun--d whil---e usi--ng thunder-shock." Sliding one tennishoed foor back sshe continued backing up. Who knew how far Achilles would go in attack. The way he was running was dangerous.Besides as long as he kept up the leers, she didn't need to be so close. Nodding she decided that right in front of this bush was safe. So she stopped her movement backward, and began fiddling on the strings around her hoody's neck.
Achilles thundered forward now that his balance was back, jumping into the air, he decided to show off. With a somersault. This made it so his claws were facing downward instead of his tail. Sparks arced along his back as he tried his hardest to slam into the Meowth. A smile on his face as his peripheral vision caught Pyric not doing so well, it was nice to see someone lose for once. Maybe that would teach him to stop acting like such a juvenile. Not that he was anything mroe then a nest egg. Achillels sharp ears caught the words of the Aipom. That thing sounded more interesting then this crazy ass cat.
Aubre noticed how close Achilles was coming, and took one more step back, The bush now snagged at her hoddy, and left her stuck in the middle of the bush, which thankfully had no berries, or pokemon hidden in it. Well fire types anyway, route one was heavennly, seeing as it lacked the fire types of then ext few, and of course anything resembling cousins of the majority of canids on route three. (410+ X=X)

The Dia was too busy trying to decide where it's next strike should come from to pay attention to its opponent. Well...full attention, anyway. After the successful strike against Pyric, she regained her position in the air, and with a quick flap of her wings disappeared again, re-appearing a few feet away, rocketing towards the Torchic at the greatest speed she could attain. All too late did she notice Pyric's stance, talons extended and presented; there was nothing she could do to stop herself as her body slammed into her opponent, except move her own position so that her torso would take the brunt of the attack instead of her head. The two crashed into each other, rolling together a few feet, a tangled mess of feathers. The Dia's momentum finally broken, she finally managed to break free of Pyric another foot and a half away behind Linzee. After a few seconds of simply lying there, trying to figure out what had just happened, she finally decided to try and get back up before the Torchic came back with a follow-up attack.
<For a Slower-poke, you sure are impatient!> The Meowth's taunts continued, even while the dragon somersaulted through the air and careened towards him. He had a smart mouth, certainly, but he didn't seem too smart, and was wholly unable to realize the Stailee was attacking, up until the last few seconds before Achilles' tail crashed into the Meowth's head, followed by a powerful (and exceptionally painful) electric shock. His muscles tightened and spasmed while the electricity flowed through him, and when it finally stopped...he fell. The Meowth fell over onto its back, hairs standing on end, whiskers frayed, pupils dilated. <Ahh...ah...ow...> Was all he could manage to mew out, between weak grunts.
<U-PA!!> The Aipom dashed from the bash and back up the tree as he watched Aubre crash into it, staring down at her from the branch above with a mixture of curiosity and fear. She coulda squished him! How dare she?! He used his tail to hang from the branch in order to get a closer look at her, an indignant look on his face, the stubs that served as his arms resting on his hips the way a human would normally do with their hands. He had only one hand, though, and if he used it to further express his level of displeasure at the situation, he would've fallen out of the tree. Which would have only added to the bad situation. "U-pa ki!" He asked her harshly in his native tongue. When roughly translated, it equals: <Who and why?>. Who are you and why are you here, basically.
