The Spearow went quite against his nature with his next move. Smiling he propplled himself up and out of the tackles way. His breath escaping in a hurried gasp. <You stupid birdy. You call out attaks, and tell me what you going to do. Still fun though!FUN!> In all reality he wasn't disabled mentally, no his brain was full of cunning. That didn't mean he used it tough. Dropping like a atom bomb he hoped to smash into Sandy. As a Spearow he mroe then likely wieghed much more. Not to mention if he wore this Pidgey out then he'd get a treat at dinner, a few minutes alone with his 'friend' Taro, and a few minutes out of his cage.

At the speed Sandy was going the plumeting Spearow came crashing down just behind the zooming Pidgey, merely clipping the tips of his tail-feathers instead of turning him into a pancake. At this juncture Sandy decided, in a split second after he felt the Spearow's tail-wind hit behind himself, to try a reversing tactic. He screeched to a stop, leaving another pair of furrows in the sand with (70 words) his claws, and did a backwards Tackle into, hopefully, the nutty Spearow.
Randy was glad that Sandy was doing so well, even though she hadn't had a chance to call (100 words) out another attack before he made his move. It was genius, she decided, nodding her head with pleasure, she folded her arms across her chest and leaned back a little.

The Spearow puled himself from the dustcloud he was in, and stood up, both of his eyes giving a roll. Upon seeing the Pidgey barreling down in a somersault. <Acrobatics!Mroe fun! YESH!> The Spearow screeched as he jumped out of the way, backwards. This was so much fun. Much better then fighting Taro. Turning his gleaming eyes to the other flying type he smiled, not the kind of smile you give to a friend, but a sad one signaing that one has almsot had enough. The gasping breathing of the beast, and the tremebling legs signaled it. of course that didn't top him from charging forward, a smile on his face, and trying his best to draw blood from Sandy. That would be such fun! Even if he did pass out in the process.
Even his trainer's eyes windened as he charged forward again, he would hit this poor bird to death if he had a chance. Ah well......

The Spearow barreled into Sandy broadsiding the Pidgey with enough force to spin him around so that he found himself facing the crazed Glid again. Though Sandy was beginning to tire himself, he still had enough energy for, at the least, another "Tackle!"; Called Randy again, leaning forward again in her excitement, and concern for her little feathered friend's safety too. She hoped that this attack would make quick work of their shaking opponent.

The attack crashed into Glid .Who fell beak first to the ground. Yet amazingly he managed to stumble to his feet laughing still. Then his body pitched over sideways and crashed into the ground. Quietly he cried a single word over and over again, that word was of course: <Fun!~you make fun.> Then he promptly passed out. This caused a shriek of outrage forom his trainer who stooped down and picked up her injured Speaorow. Then he stuffed him into the blackthorn wood cage.
With a sigh she tossed back out the tired Pidgey. Who stretched and rolled his shoulders gently.

At least, Sandy thought, the odd Spearow had some fun. He personally didn't think that fighting such a vicious creature could be considered fun, but he was relieved that he'd won. He felt a little stronger now, and his new Trainer praised him excitedly and well before she sent him back into his Pokeball for a rest, as she put it.

Then Randy called her Torchic over and said, "Go get'um Blaze!" Deidra put Blaze down and he ran over to the area between his trainer and the pacifist Pidgey. "Try another 'Crab-hammer Thrust'!" Called Randy. Blaze set off at a good clip towards Taro, little wings flapping in front of himself. When he reached the Pidgey he started Scratching away.

Taro at first looked to be disobeying his trainer's orders to dodge. Both of his eyes remained straight ahead, and seemed to be staring straight at the charging Torchic. Yet he didn't dodge regardless of orders. That is until the Torchic came with strike range. With a sigh the Pidgey hopped to the side and reared his head forward. Toward the side where the Torchic almost appeared to be missing a wing. Of course he knew this wasn't the case and didn't need to feel bad about hitting a 'handicapped'oppenent. Taro was the kind of fellow who would feel very bad about that. Which is why the girl using the move with the wings flapping was perhaps one of the stupider moves to start out with. By using it she had taken away any hesitation Taro would have had about attacking Blaze, seeing as he had thought him a cripple.

Taro's tackle hit Blaze in the side, this knocked him over onto his back. But he was up in a flash, like a coiled spring, and was back at the attack.
"Good, now try Grab-Scratch!" Called Randy, a little disappointed that her opening attack didn't work, but still undaunted.
Blaze rushed toward his opponent and tried to grab beak or wing, so he could comply with his trainer's new orders.

This tactic on the other hand worked. The claw of the Torchic snapped tightly onto the bird's wing. Then his other claw followed, jabbing into the thin bones that were hidden deep inside his wing. Squawking in pain the Pidgey took a step back, glaring at the Torchic. Of course his wing was still gripped by Blaze which gave him a opptune oppurtunity. Hopefully his trainer wouldn't notic--
To late. The call to attack came in the form of 'Tackle twist'. A common tactic they used if they were grabbed. Throwing his still clutched wing toward himself the Pidgey hoped to bring Blaze in closer, and then using his rock hard head slam him into the ground, or in the skull once or twice. of course Taro's heart really wasn't in it.

This tactic nearly worked, but when he felt the Pidgey pulling him in toward itself Blaze let go and landed on his feet nearby. He tried again to grapple with Taro, this time trying to grab his beak with his own beak, thereby getting a grip to use his claws in a Scratch attack on the other bird's chest feathers; thereby carrying out the last order given by his trainer, since he'd failed to get a good hold on his foe the first time.

No way was he going to fall for the same trick, twice in a row. He may have been passive but even he would have been embarassed if something like that happened. Closing both of his aching wings flush to his side he jumped to the left. Yet didn't offer up a attack in return. Flaora just sighed and laid her face in the palm of her hand. That bird was so useless sometimes! At least he listened when she was trying to preserve his health. Which most pokemon did, Glid on the other hand went out of HIS WAY to get himself attacked, just so he could feel pain.
Back to Taro. The pidgey really had done nothing of consquence, all he had managed to do was narrow his eyes and glare at Blaze. <must we continue this foolishness?>

<I guess so.> Said Blaze, shrugging, puzzled, not sure how to answer the odd question.
Randy called for another "Somersault Roll!" to close with the Pidgey. Blaze ran forward then did a perfect roll towards Taro, scratching around where his face had been moments before. Randy wasn't sure this would work, but it was hard to come up with new ways to use the same attack over and over. At least, Blaze was as willing as ever, and rearin' to go.

<You guess so? That isn't a yes or a no!> What was wrong with this bird?! Had the professor brainwashed him so badly that he couldn't even think for himself? Now Taro was really glad he hadn't grown up in that 'shiny' and 'delightful' place. Now all the adjectives he had heard commonly describe didn't seem to fit anymore. It was basically a place of brainwashing, and one to lose the little bit of free will they had. Jumping out of the way of the Rolling Torchic he jumped over his rolling body. Landing hard on his chest as his legs gave out. He was very tired. This battle was taking a lot out of him, the dodging was the thing doing it. After all birds were not meant to run.

"Try another Scratch attack, Blaze!" Called Randy.
<I want to get stronger!> said Blaze with conviction, <Then I can protect Randy better; and help her achieve her goals of beating the gym leaders and elite four.> Then he ran towards the faltering Pidgey and gave a little jump to better aim his scratch attack towards the other bird.

Taro lowered his foot to the ground ,and nodded to Blaze. <Good luck with that.> The scratch smacked him full in the chest and sent him staggering, backwards, and then he fell head first onto the dusty ground below.
Battle finished. Or at least that was obvious to anyone with ears. Flaora started to yell at her 'lazy' and 'no good' Pidgey as soon as he hit the ground. Of course it was no use, even though his chest was rising and falling he was silent. Not to mention his foot was twitching, and obviously made this a win for Randy. Not that'd she was willing to admit. Huffing and growling, she yanked her pidgey's ball off of her belt, and uncermoniusly returned him. "See ya later. Losers!" Then she was off, her tightly pinned hair swinging back and forth, like her wide hips.
Diedra meanwhile had tossed her pom poms into the nearby bushes. Then both she and her Sunkern had flung themselves at Randy, Diedra in a flying hug, and her Sunkern with a happy little chirp. "You won! YAY!"
