Pow. Taro hit Sandy with his tackle, but Sandy's eyes remained clear, due to the bird's long lashes, of sand. Sandy gripped his feet into the ground and was driven back towards Randy, leaving a plowed furrow in front of himself. He shook off the attack, and the excess sand, and issued one of his own. He charged forward in a Tackle, just then he heard Randy call an order, to him? he wondered, "Tackle!" She called.
Blaze, having been picked up by Deidra, was able to better chat with Son, <So you've battled them before?> he asked.

Payback. The Pidgey was to busy shaking sand from his dusty feathers to doge the attack. Of course being used to this he merely dusted himself off, and growled at his fellow avian. It was a pretty even match. Jusst, well, the oppositions pokemon were obviously more varied, and likely better. Leavee ti to his trainer to get them in this kind of mess.
<Yes we have, she's really a pushover, you would have beat her by yourself.> Which was true, his level was the other twos added up, and a few points more. The traienr wasn't bad her pokemon just lacked a certain, flare for battle. Or was it the trainer that lacked the flare. At the moment Son was to engrossed in watchig the two birds beat the feathers out of achother to care.

Sandy was unaffected by most growling. He managed to dodge to one side as the other Pidgey came barreling past, then launched a tackle of his own, sideways, towards the other bird as Taro went past. Sandy heard his new Trainer calling something about dodging and tackling, but he was too busy fighting to pay much attention. Who was she talking to anyway? He'd never fought with a Trainer giving orders to him before, this was a new sensation, and experience, for the seasoned Pidgey.

Taro flapped his wings, allowing the other bird to sail by underneath him. Then with a shriek he tuckded his wings in close and dropped. <Fighting like tis is barbaric.> To him it was. Yet he didn't want to be put in that little cage again, so he'd do what he was told. For the most part anyway, maybe a few free hits now and again would be helpful to the opposition. This pidgey didn't look very battlehardened, a victory would leave him nprepared for the demon that was his trainers right hand bird. What was her name again? It really wasn't important.

Though Taro's move was rather unexpected, Randy was able to react quickly and called another order, "Tackle upwards!" By now Sandy was getting the idea and was ready to obey. When he missed the, now flying, Pidgey, and then heard the call of His Trainer he flew upwards to meet the oncoming downward tackle of Taro.
<Yeah.> Agreed the, no longer bored, Sandy, before he launched his next attack.
<Go get 'um!> called Blaze from the cheerleading section.

That was rather unexepcted. With a loud 'ooomph!' he flew upwards, his wings flapping uselessly. Gazing down evenly at the other pidgey he lifted his head and stabbed downward toward the source of his pain. Of course the attack was halfhearted, and punctuated by a sharp downthrust of his wings. So really it hadn't been meant to hit, and his trainer knew it. A scowl fell on her pale face as she glared at the Pidgey. Her mouth moving quickly she announced the next attack: "Tackle. NOW TARO!" With a sigh the bird complied dropping into a tackle, beak first, and straight down towards the ground.
-- <Kick him in the beak--weell the trainer deserves it!> Personally he liked pacifistic Taro, even if he was rather depressing. Shouting with Glee his trainer jumped into the air, producing bright green pom-poms from thin air. Well in reality they had come from the back of her pack. "Go Randy, and don't forget Sandy!" Beside her Son began chirping happily, gesturing for Blaze to join in, hopefully breaking the oppenents concentration.

<Yay Sandy!> added Blaze to the general ruckus from the cheerleading section. Of course, it sounded like, "Tor! Tor!" to the rest of the world. (25 words)
Seeing the other pidgey driven upwards by Sandy's tackle, while Sandy was driven downwards by Taro's downward tackle, and then seeing it dive down at Sandy in another tackle attempt; Sandy, in the meantime, had nearly landed again, Randy figured there was only one way to avoid being hit, "Drop and Roll then Sand Attack Sandy!" She called. (83 words)
When his feet touched the ground Sandy rolled to the side then scooped up some sand with his wings (102 words) and threw it upwards, hoping it would confuse the other Pidgey as to his exact location. Meanwhile, Randy was still doing some thinking, and decided it was time for another counter-attack, "Tackle!" She called again. Sandy then pushed off from the ground and flapped upwards in an attempt to strike Taro through the sandy cloud Sandy had just created. He headed up in a diagonal manner, towards the last known position of the other Pidgey.

The trainer scowled as she watched her Pidgey. Would he ever listen to her?! What was wrong with him? What kind of pokemon hated battling? That was what they were made for! That was their job, otherwise why would they have all the cool powers they had bestowed upon them by nature. Twirling a finger through her golden hair she lifted a finger in the air. "Taro, come back here, useless. I am sure my other pokemon can handle this!" Flaora nodded to the spearow on her shoulder and clicked her tongue at the small bird. Understanding its turn had come it took off from her shoulder, and circled towards the Pidgey. Then in a burst of unbelievable speed he dove strigt down at the level Four Pidgey. He seemed to be laughing, well cawing.
<Yes go Sandy.> Taro mumbled, his quiet voice was drowned out by the laughing. Which to professional ears sounded like the laughter of the insane. Frankly Taro wished for his companions failure. Flaora would get off his case for a while if her 'baby-wabby' lost. Taro didn't even notice the scowl as his trainer turned towards him, one arm holding a pokeball, and the other raised in anger. Hwo dare he snorts at my babby wabby! Snort he had, when he had first thought about the ridcoulous pet name.

Randy could see that Sandy was puffing a little from the battle with the other Pidgey. So she called him over, offering an arm for him to land on. Once perched there, she offered him a berry, to reenergize him for the coming battle. Sandy felt like a new bird with this treat. He flew back onto the field of battle. (61 words)
He wasn't quite ready for the other bird's attack, as it came so quick, but he did manage to raise a cloud of dust with a "Sand Attack Sandy!" Said Randy again. Hopefully the Spearow would miss admidst the (100 words) rain of sand. No such luck, however, was to be theirs this time, as their opponent clipped Sandy's left side--it was almost a miss--which spun him around so he found himself facing his new opponent again, who was (140 words) still speeding away. "Tackle!" he heard the call and since he agreed full heartedly he gave one of his own to the speeding bird.

A flash of red light, and a waved wing were all that signaled the departure of calm Taro. Surprisingly, to Faora anyway, he spposdly had nothign wrong. He was just pacifistic. What kind of warrior was a pacifist? And why did the nurse have to use a big word instead of peaceful!? That stupid nurse needed to have her own brain checked before she began checking the pokemon's. Yet all anger at Taro had vanished when her little pet Glid had slammed into the Pidgey. It was so poetic, and glid was such a charming little fellow. Speaking of fun.. "Glid use Peck!" She didn't tell him to dodge. No, Glid didn't like dodging, but he did like attacking.
<Fun!Fun! Take thisssy!> The deranged Spearow screeched, as hard head met beak. Or whatever part of the body the Pidgey attacked with. Glid wouldn't dodge, never, no dodging for Gliddy. Dodging was sooo not fun! Like stupid Taro was no fun, never hit him or ntohing even after he ripped his feathers out.

So, when the birds' beak met with beak there was a large 'Clack' then the brief silence afterwards was filled with the Spearow's insane laughter. Glid didn't seem to notice the tackle attack which hit his peck attack on the beak. Randy was a little taken aback by the oddness of the creature, but was undaunted in her determination to defeat it. "Try a loop-tackle!"
In a desparate atempt to catch the apparently insane Spearow of guard, while it was still laughing after its last attack, Sandy flew into the air and did a flip in the air so that he came down in a tackle towards Glid's back.

Even the sharp blow to the back did nothing to stop the Spearow's cackling. Even though his beak was nwo buried in the ground the chuckles were still sliding out. Then without warning he pulled his head form the ground and jabbed his beak upward in a quick rhymic tattoo. 1..2...3..4..5..6..7..8times he stabbed upwards. This was so much fun! Especially when you compared it to sparring with Taro, he never struck back. It was no fun picking on those who 'were' defenseless. Well in Glid's opinion anyway. Most of the things he beat were of a higher level, something about his tenacious nature.
Cool as a cucumber Faora leaned back against the wall. No need to order Glid about, he was fine on his own. Besides he never took anyone else's orders. Not even his trainers, trying to assume some control, she pulled his pokeball out from the base of the cage it was normally held in.

Since the Spearow started his attack as he was spinning about to attack Sandy, the first half of his attacks missed their mark. As for the rest, they hit, but since they were so fast they didn't do much damage, although a couple of feathers on Sandy's chest slowly fluttered to the ground.
In response, Sandy issued another tackle, at the now point-blank distance between them, as ordered by his new Trainer.

The Tackle was allowed to strike home in the Spearows stained, and soft chest Of course, it was a good play on his aprt. Lifting his head up he brought it down like a hammer where the Pidgey had been, and managed to geth imself back to his feet. Although he did wobble a little bit. Didn't mean he wasn't rearing to continue this fun little battle. <Glid finds this FUN-FUN!! But you better make it more fun!Glid orders it.> Then the gigles began again, high screeching ones. The giggles of a mad man, or in this case a insane bird. Even his laugh scared his trainer sometimes.

Since the mentally deranged Spearow was still standing, Sandy decided it was time to use a wing baffle. Randy called "Distract him, then Tackle!" So she was apparently on the (30 words) same page as her determined Pidgey. Since he was still at a close range to his opponent, Sandy used his wings to 'baffle' his foe--he hit him with first one wing tip and then the other and so on (70 words) until the other bird was confused enough--and then he leaped forward, one foot raised, and gave a little jump and bounced off his opponent's chest (to get a little (100 words) distance between them again), with both feet, and then he raced forward in another Tackle attack, while the other bird still, hopefully, saw mostly just stars from the wing baffle attempt.
<Yay Sandy!> Came the call from the cheering section.
