Reggie returned from getting the newest addition to his team, a spliced Elec-Bulb from Pravus HQ. He still needed to train his youngsters--the Girafarig twins--so he could make it past Route 2 with them in tow.
He headed along the path from Vhenkil back towards Barkwish. His Girafarigs running along-side him, and sometimes frolicking nearby before running to catch up again. His other Pokemon were in their balls, for now. They'd have their training later on. He kept a sharp eye and ear out for any rustling in the bushes or trees nearby that would indicate a wild Pokemon was there to be challenged.

From a nearby berry bush a pair of brown eyes watched, the short lashes, and plainess of its face made the creature quite obviously male.Lifting a clawed hand it patted its stomach, streaking it with red, and it let out a groan. Here was a trainer, and here he was to fat to offer up a good challenege. Deciding to get out why the leaving was good the creature set its tail under it, and pushed up. Soon the bloated sentre raised above the bushes, and with one hand over his tummy hopped quickly across the path, behind where the human had just passed. Branches and misplaced stones crackled as he tried to gallop across the path. With a loud moan he sunk to the ground, right outside the other side. <My stomach hurts...> Of course what did one expect when they devoured an entire bush of berries in less then an hour. Not to mention the Cheri berries were very spicy, leaving him with a bad case of heartburn. Narrowing his eyes at the frolicking babies the sick Sentret let out a groan, and said: <Damn babes--do not know anything about pain--frolicking and laughing at their elders like that.> Not that they were laughing.

Reggie heard a rustling/crunching noise behind him and turned around. It was hard to tell who was more surprised, the Sentret or the human. Recovering quickly, Reggie called out to his girls to attack, "Sentret, I challenge you! Cynthia, Power Swap then charge in with a tackle! Marissa, Guard Swap then use Confusion!"
The twins were returning to Reggie from one of their covorting forays, but upon seeing the Sentret appear out of the grass and hearing Reggie's comands they scurried over to obey, and before the Sentret could get away. Cynthia used Power Swap, then charged forward in a tackle. Marissa used Guard Swap and began charging her Confusion attack as she ran closer to the Sentret to use it.

The Sentret sighed, a puff of air escaping from his constricted lungs. Didn't that human see he wasn't up for a challenege, mental or otherwise. Upon hearing the orders, he pushed himself up shakily, clutching his stomach, and doubled doubled over in pain. Then he realized that both Girafirigs were glowing, each using a swap attavk .Raising one paw he waved it hurriedly. <No need fir violence--ladies*groan*> Lifting his ears he muttered something, the groans, and whines that accompanied it, stealing most of its audibility. <We wouldn't want anyone to get hurt--> In other words he didn't want to get hurt, frankly it would be nice to take out his stomach ache on someone else. Watching as the Girafirig came closer, he futiley shook his fist. Trying to feel much better then he did. Niot that he fooled anyoe.
The Tackle smacked into his curled up form, and he curled in closer to himself, a;llowing the confusion to roll right between his ars as he fell towards the ground, his fluffy tail allowing him to bounce. Not that it didn't hurt his already aching stomach. Of course it was better that the confusion, his mind was already in shambles. Breaking out of his defense curl, he stood up, still slightly hunched, then lazily sliced through the air; twice, in a scratch attack. Today just wasn't his day.

He may have dodged the Confusion, and avoided damage from the Tackle, by using his Defense Curl, but Reggie was determined to make a dent in the Sentret's defense! "Okay Girls, now Cynthia Growl then Tackle again! Marissa try to get behind him and use Confusion again!" He also didn't want the girls to get too roughed up, so he called for a Growl to help lessen the foe's blows. His level was higher after all.
After connecting her, less-effective because of the Defence Curl, Tackle Cynthia continued to run forward, right into the Scratch attack, but it only caught a grazing blow to her left side as she ran past the curled up form of the Sentret. She'd been lucky, if she'd been a little closer, and him less uncomforatable, it would have been a critical hit.
Marissa tried to dive around the other side (her left, his right) of the Sentret and tried to get behind him; while Cynthia turned right and circled around for another Tackle from the front (of the Sentret) while she let a Growl drift his way as she faced him again.
Neither girl spoke to the Sentret, what could be said? They were well trained warriors, even if they were still just babies, and highly disciplined by their parent and master.

The sentret felt his claws snag on the dandelion fur of the Girafirig, drawing a painful smile to his face. Of ccourse the thing kept running, spilling his unbanaced form onto his rump, his tail switting about lazily. Holding up a paw, he gestured for the two to wait, of course in a battle that was kind of futile. As the one girafirig tried to get around on his left, he lifted his tail, and swung it lazily, hoping to send her down to her knees. The Girafirigs were dancin circles around him, as he lifted himself back into the cool air leaning forward dangerously.
Narrowinf his eyes his stomach let out a disconteneted grumble, raising a blush to the Sentret's face. Hearing the sound of a confusion powering up he tried to turn around, only to be beaten to the punch, and flung forward. Dirt, and rotten leaves filled his jaws, causing him to wrinkle his face in disgust. Hearing the pounding of hooves he turned just as the Girafirig charged towards him again, and culed into the fetal position, the tackle sending him rollling ten or so feet to the right. Breaking free his stmach let out a ominous grumble. This caused him to begin rubbing his tummy, even as the Girafirigs likely prepared themselves to attack again.
(Sorry if tis confusing--I feel rushed.)

Marissa watched as her Confusion hit the Sentret from behind, sending him sprawling forward. He made a bit of a trench behind him as he skidded through the dirt. Then Cynthia came at him with her Tackle, but he managed to roll up into a Defence Curl, so though her blow to his front sent him rolling quite a distance, towards Marissa again, it failed to hurt much as a result. When she ran up beside him, in her own initiated Tackle attempt, though Reggie hadn't called for one from her yet, Marissa was knocked over by his swinging tail.
Reggie was a little anoyed by this, but it was too late to be helped. "Cynthia run some interference for Marissa while she gets up again--Tackle!" Cynthia raced forward, her mile-eating stride quickly closing the gap between her and the Sentret, and aimed her horned head at the Sentret. Marissa struggled to get her front feet under her again. It was kind of difficult with legs as long and gangly as hers, and her being still kind of new to using them still.

The Sentret watched as one of the Girafirig's crashed into the ground. That gave him a few seconds of respite; or at least enough time for the other to show some sisterly concern. Of course his happiness at the Girafirg's trip, and crash into the ground was short lived. The pained Sentret watched as the Girafirig rushed towards him, her horn directed at the source of his pain; his tummy. Waiting until the last second he stumbled clumsily to the right, avoiding the attack. Then with a quick hop forward; much to his discomfort; if you could judge by the green pallor of hi skin. The Sentret lashedo ut with both of his claws, in a double scratch attack. These babes were determined, but even sick he was willing to bet he could handle a couple of babies.
The other Girafirig was still struggling to rise to its feet. Hopping back the Sentret clutched at his stomach, and let out a groan. If I ever see another berry as long as I live--IT WILL BE TOO SOON! Frankly with the ruckus his stomach was making you could tell he was in a lot of pain, even without the flinching, the groaning, whimpering; and of course groaning.

Marissa scrambled to her feet, then watched as her sister was side swipped by the Sentret's claws. As Cynthia dashed past the Sentret he dodged to the side at the last moment and managed to use his tail to rebalance quick enough to scratch her front leg. Blood began to trickle down the length of her leg as she pulled up near Marissa and spun around ready to attack again.
<Are you alright?> Asked Marissa worriedly.
Reggie decided a change in tactics was needed, so he called out his next attack with this fact in mind, "Marissa use Attack Swap on Cynthia, then charge forward in a Tackle! Cynthia use Confusion!"
<I'll be fine.> Answered Cynthia, grimly, before charging up her Confusion ray.
Marissa darted towards the Sentret again, this time making a zig zagging pattern so as to throw off his knowing from which side she'd Tackle from.

The sentret cursed quietly as the other Girafirig rose to her feet. Although miost of the anger was dispelled by the wonderful feeling of his claws biting into tender flesh. It was good to hit the bullies back. <Bullies--*burp* that's all you two are. Two aainst a sick feller.> As past experience had shown these two really didn't seem to care what others thought of them. So his pained comment would likely go ignored; except mayhaps by the rudeness of the burp that punctuated the center of it. Many would have pitied the Girafirig if they saw her bleeding leg, but the Sentret had no reaosn to pity the violent thing; IT had attacked him first after all; not the other way around.
Here they went agai. Frankly it would be nice to just pretend to lose, but no doubt his whimpering would give him away, besides since he was fighting babies it was nearly imossible that he would lose. This time it was two attacks, and whatever the hell an attack swap was. At first the Sentret wagered it wise to jump ut of the way of the tackle. But then again without knowing where she was attacking from trying to dodge was unwise; no doubt her sister knew where she would be attacking, and would make up for it. Then a idea ran through his head. Ignoring the pain in his stomach for that instant the Sentret stood strong as the Girafirig thundered forward, then when she hit jumped onto her, or tried to. Hopefully this would send the other's confusion fplowing into the other. But in case that didn't work he swung his back feet in a scratch attack; nowhere near effective as a forepaw scratch, but it would still cause damage. <My stomach...> Then it grumbled again.

Just as Cynthia was about to finish aiming her Confusion ray at the Sentret, it jumped on the back of her sister and started scratching away with its front claws. Marissa cried out in pain and her tail whipped around and tried to bite the offending Sentret. Cynthia reaimed her Confusion ray at the Sentret's new location--on the back of her sister.
Reggie, meanwhile, was musing on this latest development. He figured he'd have to recall his twins soon. He didn't think they could really win against such a high leveled Pokemon as this. The ratio was just too high, it was stacked against them. But at least they'd softened the Sentret up for his plan to work. He'd send his new Elec-Bulb to the field soon, and let the girls have a good rest while he tried out his new, "toy", Pokemon.

The Sentret squealed as the black bulb that was the tail's head clamped into the nerve filled ending of his own bushy tail. This caused him to let go for the breifest of seconds, then claw against the fur, still managing to hang on to the back of the frantic Girafirig. Then he heard a now familiar sound, a crackling of power in the air that set his fur on end, a Confusion. Which was exactly what he had been waiting for. It was an immediate urge to let go at that very moment, but then he wasn't insured that the move would work at all. So gritting his teeth he waited, every movement of his body sending pain richocheting about his stomach.
Then he saw the familiar distortion of the air, and heard the whining crackle that signaled a confusion attack. With a sigh of relief he pushed himself fro mthe Griafirig's back, rolling to a stop a few yards away. Slowly rising back up he surveyed the twins to see what kind of damage; if any, had been caused. At the same time his eyes glanced on curiously his paws wandered to his bruised stomach; which gurgled once again. Man all that jumping around had only made it soo much worse!

Reggie watched as the Sentret lept to the ground and the Confusion ray passed over Marissa's back, standing each hair on end as it went (25 Words). But, since she'd had her heads down while trying to buck off the Sentret, it passed on by without further incident. But now with both girls exhausted and bleeding, Reggie knew it was time, at last! He quick-drew his girls' Pokeballs, one in each hand, and called, "Return Cynthia, Marissa!" The Girafarigs turned into beams of red light that were swallowed up by their respective Pokeballs.
[Word Count (Girafarigs): 93]
"Elec-Bulb go!" Called Reggie as he replaced the two Pokeballs to his belt and pulled free his newest aquisition, a Pokeball with his Elec-Bulb, which he then sent spinning towards the ground near the Sentret--between the Sentret and himself. The Elec-Bulb burst forth onto the field! "Use tackle!" Called Reggie, again. The Elec-Bulb charged towards the Sentret in a tackle, electricity sparking in his leafy fur.

The aching Sentret surged forward, swinging his claws clumsily. The little coon like pokemon had been hoping to finish theb attle now. Yet where his claws swiped he found nothing but empty air. The lack of something for him to balance himself with sent him pitching forward, and he hit the ground face down. One of his claws was raised futiley in hte air, from which it soon fell to his side. <That hur---BURRRRRP> The Sentret burpedl ouudly, his stomachache magically disappeareing. Blinking he rose to a sitting position. Then just as he was abiout to scamper away he found himself staring down at another pokemon.
What the hell was it? He had never seen the like--the bulb on its back was familiar to him, but everything else was brand new.
This thing was odd, its body cracked with electricity ut it rustled like dry leaves as it moved. The two tyes didn't seem to match up at all to the Sentret. Of course he didn't have much time to think about it not making any sense. The thing was already upon him before he had thought about retaliating, it was quick. Curling int a ball the Tackle slammed into his rounded form. This sent him rolling a few yards, and then off the path and into a nearby bush. Uncurling himself he now realized he was ensnared in the thorny brnches, leaving him open; IF the Elecbulb was willing to be scratched to get at him anyway.

Seeming to be oblivious to the pain, Vol charged into the thorny bush and tried to tackle the Sentret again, as Reggie called that as his next attack. Reggie could tell that the Sentret seemed to be feeling better, it had reacted much quicker this time with its defence curl than the other times, it had been noticibly sluggish before in comparison to the creature that now bounced around the field before him.
Next, Reggie called out another order to the Elec-Bulb, "Use Growl then Thunder Wave that Sentret!"
Electricity rustled through the leafy fur of the Elec-Bulb, freak of nature or not he was determined to serve his master well. It was part of his training after all. After rushing past the Sentret with his tackle attack, he kept going and spun around, growled deep in his throat, and then sent the charged electricity flying faster than a blink of the eye towards the Sentret!
