The Sentret let out a squeawk as the mad beast that was the Elec-bulb charged into the thorny bush. Thee things head butted into his stomach, causing him to gasp. Unable to scratch in such a tight spaceh e waited till it moved away. Then grabbing a nearby branch he yanked it back, held it for a few seconds and then let it go, hopefully it would smash into the crazy things face, and buy him a few minutes of time. Taking a deep breath the Sentret jumped , and fought his way through the bush, with a sigh he found himself kneeling outside of it, taking a deep breath he began to scamper off. Then the hated humans voice speared through his mind, this wasn't over yet!
Then the creature growled, a shiver running down his spine. Any initiative to attack slowly drained from his fuzzy face. he could taste the sparks in the air, and his eyes widening he dove quickly out of the way as the sparks began to buzz in the air. Then the Sentret decided he had enough, a pair of vicious baby pokemon, a stomach ache, and a insane mutant, slowly but surely he began hopping away down the path. each hop drawing up a cloud of light brown dust.

Reggie soon lost sight of the Sentret as the dust cloud settled again. It had been most fortunate, as if the ground had been less dry and dusty Reggie would have pressed his attack. As things stood, however, it had made a clean gettaway. It was a little anoying but he figured it was good enough for today.
He set up camp under a nearby tree and slipped into his sleeping bag. After a brief dinner with his Pokemon, he treated his girls' wounds and patted them on the head and returned all of his Pokemon to their balls except his loyal Meowth who slept on the foot of his sleeping bag.
The next morning they set off again, hunting for wild Pokemon to train with. Payday and Reggie kept a sharp lookout for wild Pokemon stirring in the bushes or in the nearby trees. Reggie figured they'd still need a little training before they could take on Route 2. His mission was to capture a Pokemon above level 20, so it would take some more work before they were ready to take on such an opponent.

The morning sun filtered through the branches, waking up many of the light sleepers, the cries, and yawns of these soon awakened the rest. Many of these were bird pokemon, most blinked their eyes, and ruffled their feathers, depressed that their elongnated naps had been interrupted by the sun. Most took quickly to the air, a few a little slower then most.
The crunch of the humans feet on the grass caused a pair of chocolate eyes to turn towards him. The two pidgeys churred quietly, their chest feathers were still ruffled, and it was obvious they were still more asleep then awake. <Look brother a human and a.. cat thing.> <Oh yes yes. A cat thing, despicable beasts those.> The first one a deep voiced female quickly nodded her agreement. Leaning forward both bird pokemon poked their heads through the leafy branches. Blinking as they were caught by the full force of the sun they quietly observed as the human went about his way.
Of course they hadn't been talking very quietly, and their wing gesticulations had made it obvious that they were around. Hopping down the branches they occasionally made cruel jibes about the hygiene of cats. Of course they stayed out of the Meowth's reach, adn hoepfully any of the human's other pokemon. <Stupid cat--cannot get us.> <Nope nope, it can not that.>
