A pair of red eyes watched from behind a screening of bushes, and a smile curled the edges of the Pokemon's lips. A human! Probably terrified if I know girls and forests! This could be fun. Placing his feet firmly on the ground, the beast kicked the bush's trunk. In reaction the large piece of foliage shook violently, hopefully scaring the girl into imagining a large dangerous creature following her. Of course with the ankle high, rather harmless creature that really lurked, any wild imaginings of angered Charizard's or pissed Tauros' couldn't have been much further from the truth. Shaking his head, the creature moved to the next bush, letting off a loud snort as he did so.
The girl seemed to be defenseless, which would make her even more fun to scare!
Upon reaching this bush he repeated the process, and then rammed his head into the bush, scraping the spikes along its trunks, and causing a loud scraping noise. Which might be mistaken as a beast trying to rip the tight screen of bushes apart with their teeth. Which was kind of a scary image.
Luahging shrilly the creature continued, not even realizing that a giant gap in the bushes existed, and his compact piink obdy flew rihgt in front of it. Likely giving Megs a good view of him in all of his Nodoran glory.
Then he was at it again.
(Sorry this is so short--and rather horrid...xD I got rushed.

Megs's feet stopped walking when she heard a noise near her. She swung round and looked at all directions to see anyone or anything. Nothing, though. She then took another step, positive that it was nothing, but heard the sound of a rustling bush. She turned to her left and spotted a bush moving around. Probably just a pokemon, Megs thought.
Being just a pokemon, Megs wasn't really frightened by the thought of it making noise behind a bush. Thinking of what pokemon it could possibly be, it must've have been something that liked tearing things up since it was scratching away at something. And if it was ripping at something, then it could've been a big like pokemon going at another smaller pokemon.
But the bush wasn't that huge and she didn't hear any screaming or squeaks of a pokemon being attacked. Maybe a rattata...? she thought up. Walking over to the bush, she saw a glimpse of a pink body moving around in the bush. Peering through the leaves and twigs, she spotted a male Nidoran, kicking at the ground and leaves. What exactly was it doing?
Megs looked awkwardly at the small pokemon. There wasn't much to see of it except a horn, really. "Um...." Megs murmured, staring at the pink bodied Nidoran. Apparently, it was trying to do something, but did it involve her? Because not many pokemon just go around bushes and scratch at them.

A voice echoed through the branches, and the Nidoran chuckled to himself. Then the slight smile was pulled into a frown. That wasn't screaming, and was to close to be the noise of someone talking to themselves while running away. With a squeawk of annoyance he stopped his mauling of the bush, and pulled his claws from the bark. A annoying chattering came from his mouth which roughly translated to: <No running, no screaming..Am I wasting my time..is this person deaf?> It seemed he hadn't even realized how close the noise had been, or the fact that a human was looming over him. SHaking his head he went back to work, this time throwing his whole body at the bush, and causing it to shake. But he was forced back, as the small hedge collided with something hard.
It was in this moment that he examined his memories, and glanced upward. <Damnit> It seemed the girl had chosen to ruin his little game of fun. Narrowing his eyes he climbed out of the bush, and walked across the path, his nose thrust high into the air as he went/ <Stupid humans..idiotic..worthless..air wasting..crap eating..> The Nidoran cursed all humans, just for this one's foolish choice to ruin his game. Couldn't she had played along?
The creatures claws sent pebbles and such scurrying--at least inanimate objects knew to fear him. Pivoting he paused, and in a very immature gesture, stuck his tongue out at the young trainer. Sure it was foolish to stop--but it felt good to give her some opayback. Then h was off again, his stout body clsoe to the roads edge, and more then ready to make his way inti the bushes on the other side.
If she wanted to do something about the rude gesture--now was the time, otherwise he'd be gone.

The sight of the nidoran was fun to Megs. She hadn't seen a pokemon try to scare off humans before and this one looked mad because his plans had failed. As much as Megs liked playing tricks herself, she didn't really like pokemon who did it. And this trick was an amateur plan when you compared them to the past things Megs did at school. Only a fool would fall for the scare tactic.
Megs looked down at the pink pokemon. It looked like it didn't really like Megs and she wasn't feeling a loving feeling for him either. After deciding what to do, she pulled a pokeball from her black belt and threw it into the air. A red flash appeared from out of the pokeball, forming the shape of a chikorita in its bright red light. The light vanished and the pokeball returned to Megs's hand. She put it back onto her belt and took her last potion from out of her pocket.
Walking over to the now visible green chikorita, Megs sprayed the potion all over her body, knowing that she was still hurt from th last battle. Cheyenne jumped around after getting treatment on most of her injuries. She hadn't been in the pokeball that long, but she did regain some energy during her time in it. And now with the potion, she was almost completely healed. She still didn't have complete energy, but it was good enough for a battle.
Cheyenne smiled at her trainer, wondering if she had won the battle against the annoying brat, Todd. "If you're wondering, we did win." Megs told the pokemon. Cheyenne smiled bigger, appreciating Wing's win. She would have to congratulate him later. Cheyenne then turned around to face an upset nidoran. She already knew that she was going into battle when Megs had sprayed the potion on her. And it appeared to be with a wild pokemon.
<Well, hello there.> Cheyenne greeted the nidoran. She already knew that during the battle the two would be throwing threats at each other, but she might as well show some politeness to the pokemon. "Alright Cheyenne, this is a simple battle. We'll just keep giving him what we got." Megs said. "Start off with a basic tackle." Cheyenne nodded and ran at the nidoran with her head.

The Nidoran paused, his large funnel like ears easily catching the click of an opening Pokeball. A minty fresh scent wafted into his nasal passages, and he turned on his back legs, just to watch as the girl spritz her newly released CHikorita with a stamina, and health restoring potion. Snorting he did a double take--and posed a grouchy question at the Chikorita: <Where the hell did a plant like you sprout from!?> He knew a trainer when he saw one, but he didn't know that Pokemon appeared in streams of light. The ones he had seen had there Pokemon right next to them. A shiver crawled up his back. It was supposed to be the girl creeped out--not him.
Taking a deep breath he warded off any questions about Cheyenne's sudden appearance.
<Hello to yourself weed!> The Nidoran growled, his own insecurities and disappointments sparking unneeded aggression. Why was she looking at him like that? Why did he have a feeling that turning around would be bad for his health--just what did the girl intend to do in revenge for her fright?Even though said fright had been well disguised it had obviously existed, otherwise he wouldn't be getting these kinds of vibes from her.
Then the Chikorita thundered toward him, to bewildered to do anything else, the Nidoran only lowered his head slightly. <What are you..> His question was cut off as the bulky starter tackled into him, mayhaps skewering herself on a spike?
Then he leaped into action. Jumping up he tried to smash his beak like mouth into the Chikorita's head. <What the hell--that hurt! Watch where you're going weed!> The Nidoran grumbled. Hoping that the pain was enough to teach her how to stop being so clumsy. After all it had taken a lot of work to slam into him on accide--wait she had tackled him. On Purpose. A BATTLE!?

Cheyenne didn't think the name-dropping would start already. Why did everyone think of her as a weed? Just because she had a leaf sprouting out from her head didn't mean that people could just consider that she was a weed and liked to be called that. Cheyenne was glad that she had hit, but it seemed to her that the nidoran didn't even know what was going on. Perhaps she should explain more than just a simple, 'hi'.
<Prepare yourself for a warming battle-- the tackle was just a way of showing you a greeting.> Cheyenne told the pink pokemon. He was quite small, a little smaller than Cheyenne, and she was small herself. If it hadn't been for his pointing ears, than he wouldn't be considered her height. Cheyenne felt the point of the horn on her chest. Pushing back, she jumped away from the nidoran and back towards her trainer's side.
"You still good, Cheyenne?" Megs asked the green pokemon. Cheyenne nodded. Although the point had given her a light red mark and a twitching pain, she felt alright. It wasn't too serious. "Alright, then. Then let's use your tackle again." Megs commanded. Cheyenne walked off from Megs's side and back into the battlefield with the nidoran. She rubbed her chest where the horn had hit her and then glared at the nidoran.
<Ok, you'll regret doing that, you pink worm.> Cheyenne said, trying to think up good names. "Pink worm" wasn't one of her best names, but at least it was something that made sense. Cheyenne ran forward at the nidoran again, getting ready to hit him again with her body.

<I don't want to battle--what make you think I do!? I just wanted to have some fun and play a joke on your trainer! Not be tackled by a moving hedge!> The Nidoran growled, tossing his head at her explanation. It was garbage--you just attack someone because they are there? He wasn't her sparring buddy, and in no way was he under the trainer's control. But the tackle would hurt, and there was no way he was going to run off and let her send one at his exposed backside. <But if you want a stupid battle..fine.> He grumbled, after all what other choice was there? Both of his narrowed eyes became fixated on the Chikorita, every muscle twitch, and such was watched very closely.
Then the thing ran away, back to her trainer's side. It was rather a odd thing to do--was he that scary looking? That the mere sight of him sent her running?
It didn't seem so. It seemed he had only succeeded in making her angry.
<Doing what?> The pink thing asked, ten it saw the red mark on her chest. It seemed his horn had done its job--hopefully she had been poisoned. She deserved it for attacking him for no reason after all. Stepping backward he watched as the charged forward across the clearing once again. Had the human been scared that badly? All he had done was shake a few bushes. It seemed when confronted with fear she chose to fight whether then take flight.
Then the Chikorita was upon him.
This time the Nidoran managed to move out of the way, and tossing his head he tried to send her scurrying away once again. After all he wasn't to sure how badly his little tackle would hurt her--not much more then likely.
(Sorry this sucked so bad.)

<You know exactly what you did, idiot.> Cheyenne said. <Don't act stupid.>
Cheyenne watched the nidoran with her red eyes. She looked once at her trainer, Megs, then back at the opponent. She hadn't succeeded in her first two battles, but maybe she'd win the battle this time. By now, she was used to battling and it no longer felt like a stranger to her. She had been in both wild pokemon and trainer battles, so she knew her basic stuff about them.
"Try to avoid his horn, Cheyenne. We don't want you to get poisoned, alright?" Megs informed her pokemon. Cheyenne nodded and made sure that she wouldn't get poked by it again.
Cheyenne lost her balance as the nidoran avoided her tackle attack. She tripped and fell to the ground-- which was good, because the nidoran had planned on tackling her. Megs watched from her spot and then yelled, "Use your tackle, Chey!" Megs had a feeling that the nidoran didn't really want to fight in the first place, but this was good training for Cheyenne. After route two, they would be in their first town with a gym leader, and they had to prepare for that when it came.
Cheyenne picked herself back up and swung her body round, trying to move fast so the nidoran couldn't dodge her attack. Cheyenne was now at the rear back of nidoran and had stood up. She stepped back, and then jumped forward, trying knock down the nidoran with her tackle. <Heads up, pink worm!> Cheyenne warned, calling him the nickname she had come up with.
