My entry for the spriting dragon contest. Name: Steemell Type: Steel Steemell, the steel finding pokemon. In the past, Steemell was used by mining communities to find veins of high quality metals and excavate them. If the shaft became unstable, Steemell would bark in warning, giving the miners enough time to escape. Name: Steecrest Type: Steel Steecrest, the evolved form of Steemell. Steecrest was primarily used as a scout in times of war. It has individual control of its three crests of feathers and can raise each one one at a time and signal allies. It's armour is strong enough to protect it from unfriendly fire. In the wild, it is believed that the crests are used for courtship and to establish dominance among fighting males. Name: Warsteel Type: Dragon/Steel Warsteel, the evolved form of Steecrest. Living deep in ore-rich mountains, Warsteel will fight to the end to protect it's territory. This pokemon is extremely aggressive, and should be approached with extreme caution.

Wow...that's way too much reading. Spriting isn't easy, is it?

Brynn, you sprites are amazing, but do any of the evolutions have feathers? Thats one of the requirements.

Yeah, Steecrest and Warsteel. See the three red sections on Steecrest? Those are all like a cockatiels head feathers, they can go up and down at will. And Warsteel's red plume, like the roman soldiers, is made of feathers. Requirements just said feathers, doesn't mean they had to be on wings.

I know, and it was very smart to make a steel/dragon type, there are none of those.

Grah. Sorry for the lateness. Statilee (Staat-ihll-eee) - Dragon/Electric Type Statillee are normally very energetic Pokemon, given their type. They have an extremely powerful bite and have some of the strongest jaws in the Pokemon world. Just like in all of its evolutions, it generates electricity by rapidly rubbing the feathers on its ears and tail. This creates a current of static that is stored in the orbs on its nose, atop its head, shoulderblades, chest and tail tip. Since the feathers are so small, the amount of electricity generated isn't as powerful as others of the Electric Type, so it relies more on its Dragon Type attacks. Statodyl (Staat-oh-dihll) - Dragon/Electric Type Once a Statilee evolves into a Statodyl, it tends to mellow out. Both the feathers and the gems on its body increase in size, letting it generate more power. The gems on its nose, head, and chest develop into more horn-like appendages, storing more electricity. Statodyl still carry the powerful bite from Statilee, but their teeth are dulled down slightly, so it's not as powerful. With so much electricity pent up inside of them, most of it goes to their long legs, and makes them exceptional runners. With larger ears, its hearing is also more acute. Statidon (Staat-ih-dawn) - Dragon/Electric Type Statidon is one of the rarest and most powerful Pokemon in the Remoor Region. In this evolution, the gem-like protrusions and feathers at certain points of their bodies are at their largest, giving them the most static electricity they can get. Their teeth are razor sharp once again, giving them a very nasty bite. They tend to be the most aggressive of the evolutionary line, but are also fiercely loyal to their trainers. In combination with so much electricity and their large, powerful legs, Statidon are some of the fastest Pokemon alive. Given their size of over seven feet, they're often used as transportation for those trainers that can get a hold of them.
