-----POKEMON TEMPLATE-----
Name: Raichu[he doesn't have a name]
Age: 10 yrs - 15th Oct.
Gender: Male.
Species: Raichu.
Personality: Despite the fact that he was once a domesticated Pokemon, you'd never guess by the way he is now. Going so far as to forsake his own name, Raichu shows as much interest in going back to "serving humans"(as he put it), as he does in the world around him. Which isn't much, unfourtunetly. Life has handed him a bad hand of cards, making his gruff and bitter. He's become quite selfish and, though he's got his quick wit about him, arrogant. Since his personality was warped by a a bad trainer, he's take nicely to living life with a 'devil-may-care' attitude and takes great pride and joy in causing humans as much trouble as he can. Spiteful and determined, he would steal food from a shopkeeper before he went to find it one his own. Where's the fun in taking it from a tree. He'd rather feel the thrill of the chase, with the knowledge that he can easily outwit most humans with his city smart mind set. Having grown up in a large city in his youth with a child as free spirited as he is, trouble making comes naturally for him. Challenges from trainers only ever fuel his growing sense of pride and if not for his clever mind, he'd probably be either captured or dead. He's stubborn and generally unwilling to help anyone else unless it gets him something he wants. And should someone try to push him, the Raichu's temper tends to flair. While he has quite a bit of patience and often simply pins his ears back and stubbornly resists whatever is going on around him - generally by refusing to pay attention to it until it goes away - he rarely hesitates to give demonstrations of why he can afford to be so cocky. As said before, his mind is still stuck in his home in the city. Independent and rarely even considering listening to anyone else, many of his strageties involve those annoying hit and run, games of trickery and surprise. He's smart, if not in a knowledgeable way, in a clever, quick thinking, and sharp minded spirit. He plays by his rules and generally, because his rules are as unpredictable as his movements and attacks, most who challenge him are caught in a mess of their own demise. Like many Raichu, he can be(and usually is) aggressive, but while he absolutely refuses to admit he's ever had anything to do with humans, his loyalty never truly falters, in any situation. While it isn't ever easy to earn, once you have gotten him to pledge his allegiance to you, he is just as stubborn to stick to you as he was when he was resisting you. And the same is with humans. Especially children. He would throw his life away to save a human child, or, if he were to become friends with another human. And his Pokemon friends, however few there are, generally receive the same treatment. However, once he becomes friends with someone, because of his sort of selfish nature, he tends to become rather...possessive and is quite jealous at times. Harsh in his attitude, but actually a little bit of a softy thanks to his youth, he can be tolerable once you get past his love of tricks and pranks and electrifying battles.
Physical Appearance: He stands just a few centimeters below average for a Raichu. But he's always been a bit of a runt. Like any of his species, his short fur is orange with brown markings on his ears, paws, and back. On his head though, he has a bit of untidy scruff going on thanks to his general lack of interest in grooming. His ears are shaped similarly to pointed Vs and curl at the lower tip and when his electrical sacks are full, they stand straight up, naturally. On his cheeks are yellow spots where his electrical sacks are located with round, black eyes. A white under belly and long legs, he makes up for his height with speed and agility. His tail is long and black with a yellow lightning bolt shape at the end, serving as a ground to keep him from shocking himself.
Because he is smaller, he tends to be much more agile than other Raichu. And since one of his strengths lies in stamina and endurance, this only gives him an extra boost in battle. He is often rather filthy and has a larger belly thanks to his skills as a thief. He's taken more to the taste of human food, than Pokemon food, it would seem. At the end of his tail, there is a large chunk missing, proof that he often takes off more than he can chew. With his small frame, speed, and the fact that he spend much of his youth in a big city, he can be near impossible to catch once he's set his mind that he's going to get away from you. All and all, despite his lively personality, he looks just like any other Raichu wandering around.

History: His youth as a Pichu are a few of the fonder memories he can look back on. Born in a young breeders field with his mother and father, he was allowed free access and roam of most of the area. He became good friends with the girl who was running the place, taking to her as he grew. It was because of his friendship with her that he was able to evolve into a Pikachu. Unfortunetaly, about that same time, he was adopted out to a young boy looking for a companion on his Pokemon journey. Because the city they were in was so far from any Pokemon lab and he was forbidden to leave the city until he was fifteen, by his parents, he couldn't obtain any starter Pokemon the traditional way. While Pikachu was reluctant to his friends and family, he took a liking to the boy after being given chocolate. The two headed back to the city and the country raised Pokemon was in awe at the large buildings and crowded streets. It took some getting used to, but he managed to adapt quickly enough. The boy, Jake, who dreamed of saving the environment from cities like his for the benefit of Pokemon, refused to put his new best friend in a poke ball. Not that there was much need with the Jake researching all the time and Pikachu lending a hand where he could. But soon, the Pikachu's lively and curious nature took hold and he convinced Jake to show him the city. The two quickly became amused with finding every nook and cranny they could get into. With his parents rarely home, the two were allowed free roam of the city. Though, like any young boy and his first pet, they got into trouble. But their skills at maneuvering about the city kept them alive and well.
At age fifteen, Jake was finally ready to begin traveling to take a look beyond the muk of the city, Pikachu ready and willing to follow him to the death. The two set out mid August and traveled for many years together, their bond growing stronger as they did. Jake rarely caught other Pokemon and when they did attack him, Pikachu was always there. However, when Jake was twenty, he got his first taste of what being an actual Pokemon trainer was like. They had come to a very remote town whose only exit was through the gym. The only way through, beating the man. Jake tried his best to be diplomatic, but the man's Pokemon, an Arcanine, tackled Jake when he tried to get through. Pikachu attacked the Pokemon in retaliation. And though he was able to doge the fire attacks for a while, even land a few blows(though they did little damage thanks to the difference in ability and strength) with his speed and agile form, once the Arcanine hit him with Flamethrower, Pikachu was easily knocked out.
He awoke within a Pokemon center, with Jake right beside him with praise and worry at Pikachu's act of defense. But Pikachu was anything but amused. With his pride hurt and his desire to take down the Arcanine fueling him, he went so far as to slap Jake. Yelling at him that it was time to stop running from battles just because it could be dangerous for either of them. After some arguing, Jake relented and the two began training. It took nearly a year to get up to speed but eventually, the two had the entire town backing them up(it was a very small town) Finally, the two took to the battle field again. Pikachu and Arcanine fought and eventually, after three lost battles, came out victorious. But unfortunately, a forest fire had been coming toward the town. And with more people interested in the battle than keeping an eye out for danger, it hit the town hard. Many people were killed. Including Jake. He had seen a tree collapsing where his Pikachu was and pushed him out of the way, getting himself crushed and burned to death. Out of fear, Pikachu fled, finding safety in a nearby lake.
Upset and heartbroken, Pikachu struggled in the wild, having never had to gather food on his own in his life. Eventually, he stumbled into a larger town. Overjoyed, and unexperienced, he bound forward. However, the first person he tried to get help from turned out to be an experienced trainer. Tired and hungry, Pikachu was easily battled and captured. The man was kind, but would later prove to be harsh in his training, with little tolerance for Pokemon who wouldn't follow his orders in battles. But at the moment, he nourished Pikachu back to good health, feeding him and getting the Pokemon back on his feet. Though Pikachu was nervous about being kept by another human he didn't know, he stuck around as the man, Tsunomaru, coaxed him into training. Immediately, Pikachu took a liking to being allowed to battle other Pokemon, especially when he began wining. Still, he kept his distance from Tsunomaru, refusing to even eat his food around him. Tsunomaru accepted this though, since Pikachu was doing well with his training. After two years, Pikachu had grown attached to the man without even realizing it. And finally, Tsunomaru proclaimed that Pikachu had become his best Pokemon and that he would be the one he took to become a gym leader. Leaving his home and the rest of his Pokemon with his younger brother, Tsunomaru and Pikachu set out toward a gym leader who had posted up that he was looking for someone to take his place. The person who could beat him would get the gym. But half way through the journey their, Tsunomaru confessed that he was doubtful of Pikachu's ability in his current state. Though he was powerful, he said, he was only go to even be that powerful unless he could evolve into a Raichu. Pikachu, loyal to his new friend, readily agreed. Using a thunder stone, Tsunomaru evolved Pikachu into Raichu.
They had reached the gym now, having trained quite a bit on the way. Raichu felt he was at his prime now, as though he could take on just about anything. Tsunomaru seemed confident in his Pokemon, encouraging him as Raichu eagerly dashed inside of the gym. It turned out that the leader used a powerful Houndoom, which worried neither Tsunomaru, or his Raichu.
However the battle proved to be a rather brutal turning point in Raichu's life and opinions about humans. Raichu was still independent. Too independent for Tsunomaru to completely control in battle. The battle started as they had trained and planned for. Raichu used Iron Tail, followed up with a Tackle to take the Houndoom down early for a quick victory. However, the gym leader wasn't so easily defeated, neither was his Pokemon. The Houndoom dodged the Iron Tail and counter the Tackle with a scratch. Raichu easily recovered and took off after the Houndoom using agility, as commanded by Tsunomaru. However, in the rockier terrain the gym leader used as the battle field, it was more difficult to maneuver following only Tsunomaru's commands. Seeing a chance to take the Houndoom down, Raichu neglected the next command to use his city smarts and cunning to trick the Houndoom and eventually knock it out by leading near a small pool of water in the center of the gym. While they had won and earned the gym, Tsunomaru was angry with Raichu for forsaking Tsunomaru's ability to command him. In retaliation, Tsunomaru threatened to abandon Raichu if he ever disobeyed him again. But Raichu, deciding he had never had any sort of loyalty with the man to begin with, electrocuted him when he tried to put him in a poke ball. Releasing a massive amount of electricity, Raichu tore up the entire gym, shattering the windows and causing most of the rocks to crumble. Despite Tsunomaru's pleas for him to stay, having seen his true power demonstrated to him, Raichu ran away, leaving the city and ending up in the forest again. However, he quickly realized he had grown attached to the man. Feeling hurt and betrayed, he vowed to never trust or help another human again. And definitely no more people throwing poke balls at him. He later wandered into Remoor Region, making it his current home.
--- Sample Post ---
Sample Post: -it's pretty much the last chunk of his history. Also, Raichu refers to all of his masters as "Boss", so it's Tsunomaru, in this case, just so you know-
Raaaiiiiii-
He could feel the natural build up of electricity in his cheeks. His black and yellow tail swished behind him suddenly, the yellow lightning bolt shaped end hitting the rocky battle field behind him to serve as a ground. His face contorted and his body tensed, the very air around him crackling with energy. He could already feel the sparks surging around on his orange fur.
-CHUUUUUUUU!!
The entire gym was alive suddenly, illuminated in a sharp yellow colour as the zing of electrical energy singed everything it could reach. Immediately the sparks sought out a refuge and crashed around in the air for a moment before smashing into something or another. The sounds of shattering glass as the windows exploded outward were swallowed up by the thundering boom of rocks crumbling, the brick walls breaking down with the force of the miniature thunderstorm. Wave after wave of crashing, smashing, thundering electricity from the orange Pokemon situated near the entrance of the gym. The water pool in the center of the battle ground sizzled and crackled as it conducted the electricity.
It all lasted only a minute, but the second Raichu felt his strength diminishing and allowed the thunder to cease, the visible damage was extensive. The once towering boulders scattered about the battle field had been reduced to nothing more than dust and pebbles littered about the flattened gym floor. The water had been super heated, now nothing more than a lingering steam cloud above the empty pool. The windows were gone, shattered and blown out. And the lights were out, the bulbs shattered and leaving glass on the ground below. Raichu let out a satisfied breath, panting for a moment before lifting himself to stand proudly over his handy work. Or, standing as much as a short, stocky little rodent could. His black eyes gleamed with the light coming in from the empty windows and he could still feel the flare of remaining electricity run over his yellow cheeks. That's right, he though to himself, tell me who's useless now!
Amazing...
His ears tilted to his left at the sound of Boss's voice. Damn right, he told himself. An arrogant smirk played over his face at the Boss's astonished look. Raichu rocked forward before stretching himself up onto his toes, his black and yellow tail flicking upward to arch above his head and he grinned. The Boss pushed himself up from his position on his belly, jaw slack with shock and awe. "Raichu...imagine...we could crush our opponents!", Raichu's expression shifted suddenly, his grin slipping into an inquisitive frown. What was Boss talking about 'our opponents'. As far as Raichu was concerned, he had made it clear when he'd destroyed the gym that he had little or no intention on staying with him. He belonged to no one. Not anymore. Not ever again! Not even the Boss No more forced battles, no more commands, and definitely no more Poke balls. He would die before allowing himself to be crammed inside one of those cursed things again!
"Pledge and promise to obey me and- No, wait! I order you to come back here!"
But the Pokemon was already turned around and running on all fours toward the door. His ears twitched. The Boss was trying to follow him? Well then... He reached the door quickly, leaping up and propelling himself even higher with a fallen rock before jerking his body to the left to whip his long tail around. The lightning bolt at the end glowed now, slamming into the side of the building and electing a rumbling sound as Raichu his the ground running. Iron tail really was a useful thing. He could hear the entrance collapse in on itself as he reached the center of the smaller town. The forest, he remembered. Taking off and dashing through the town with ease and making it to the forest in only a few minutes. And from there, he kept running, slowing only when his legs gave out and he had to stop to lean against a tree, his lungs burning, little heart racing as he caught his breath.
"Stupid, idiot Boss! I should have shocked you in both eyes!", but he hadn't. And now he was alone again. Stuck in the very forest he had come here in. He sighed heavily, letting his tired feet slip from under him so he could fall onto his butt. Now the Boss was gone. And as he thought of all of the relatively good times he had had training with the Boss. And it made his stomach tighten. His head was starting to feel funny too...it hurt almost.. And what was this wetness on running down his face. "Stupid Boss.", he swiped at his nose irritably. Rolling on his side and curling his tail around his body, the Raichu, feeling upset and betrayed, began to silently weep in frustration. No more humans, he decided stubbornly.
