"Nice weather, eh, Leau?" A pale-skinned teen grinned, enjoying the warmth of the sun and the feel of the gentle breeze. She felt even better in her newly washed clothes, and ran ahead of her little Totodile, feeling as if she could run as long as she wanted without tiring. She reached the edge of Isabella Plains, and waited for Leau to catch up. <When I was back at the lab, I never had to run like this...> Leau grumbled, crossing her arms and pouting at her trainer.
"And why are you acting so grumpy, Leau? Don't you like me?" Zephyra frowned, bending down to pick Leau up and hold her. <Only as a servant...> Leau muttered, and she averted her gaze from her trainer. Zephyra sighed, and gazed at the grass as if she hadn't heard Leau's comment. Of course, she did, but it was all gibberish to her. She slowly walked forward until she stepped in the grass, and she felt as if she could explode. That was the very first step of her journey. Then she moved a little faster striding down the Plains, and glancing around for any wild Pokemon. She especially hoped to see either a Meowth or Tapiir, but any Pokemon sighting would be wonderful as it is, and she scanned the area, looking for one that would help Leau train and become a possible addition to her small team. "Keep your eyes peeled, Leau..." She whispered, not wanting to scare anything away.

The grasses rustled gently not far from the young trainer and Pokemon, and a soft voice floated to them on the breeze. "Sen...Sen...Seeentret..." A small brown Pokemon muttered to itself. Its tiny paws scrabbled frantically on the packed dirt of the pains, serching for something. <Oh, dear me!> Was what it said in the Pokemon tounge. <How could I lose that? It was such a big, juicy seed too!> Its tone was anxious and nervous. What a clumsy Sentret this was for losing its best meal of the day!
Long rabbit-like ears twitched at the sound of approaching footsteps. <What's that now? Who's there?> The Sentret poked its head up out of the grasses, quite stupidly actually, and peered over at the approaching trainer and Pokemon. It's eyes widened in wonder. A trainer! The young Pokemon thought. Now I haven't seen one of them in a while! Of course, for this forgetful little creature, a while could mean thirty minutes. Who knew?
<Oh dear, oh dear!> Sentret cried and dove back down into the tall grass. All thoughts of its seed gone, the wild Pokemon began to scurry away from the travling pair, it's progress easily tracked by the violently waving grass fronds it pushed trough. Sentret was so focused on getting away that it didn't notice the tree right in front of it until it crashed head-long into the trunk. The Sentret squealed and fell backwards onto the path.

A small yawn escaped Marley's lips as soon as she stepped onto the path toward Route one. Why was she doing this again? Oh yeah, she was supposed to be starting her little journey. Of course, she could have started this tomorrow- she had already done so much today. Well, really only one thing, but who was she to judge? Besides, she was a teenager; she needed her beauty sleep. Another yawn escaped her, but she didn't mind. She was tired, after all.
Marley stuck a hand in her right pocket, letting it rest on a pokeball. No doubt was it Con's; it had a large scratch going across it, easily identifying it as his. Who knew what he was doing. Marley thought about it momentarily. Probably sleeping, she muttered to herself. The stampede pokemon, who was surprisingly still in his pokeball, had developed the sleeping habits of his trainer. In other words, he... needed his beauty sleep as well. So, naturally, that's what he usually did when he wasn't out with Marley. Sleep.
Now, her other two pokemon, Dominique and Gastly, were in their pokeballs, doing who knew what. She hadn't exactly taken the time to introduce herself to them, but she figured she'd be able to do that later. She was pretty sure that normal people talked to their pokemon right when they received or caught them, but since when was she considered normal? To anyone else she was just the average, bratty teenager.
"I wonder what time it is," she mumbled, suddenly wishing she had a watch. Or even a phone. It was pretty idiotic of her to leave without a phone. But then again, she definitely wanted to avoid calls from her parents every five minutes. Writing letters when she felt like it was what she certainly preferred. So much easier, too. And she could always call when she reached a pokemon center. No big deal, either way.
A sigh was hardly audible as she reached the beginning of the route. She hadn't been walking for even five minutes, and what do you know? A trainer was in sight. A young girl, from the looks of it. Well, who knew if she was young? She was as tall as Marley! Though, that wasn't saying too much. She continued to walk slowly, contemplating whether or not scaring the girl by popping out of a bush was appropriate or not. Eh, forget that. That required too much work on her part.
"If you whisper and louder, surely everything will be scared away." Marley laughed humorlessly, not even bothering to conceal her voice in a whisper. She smirked as she waited for some sort of angry response from the girl. Until, that is, a Sentret fell backward onto the path not too far from her. Maybe those dumb pokemon wouldn't be scared away so easily. "Or not," she muttered, shaking her head in slight disbelief.
ooc;; Hope that's acceptable. Didn't really give you much to go on. xD; [/blockquote]

Now Oak was back in her element. Of course, she was never really out of her element, considering she hadn't walked that far to reach the Pokemon lab. But nonetheless she was back onto familiar ground. Being not far from Vhenkil Town, she knew almost the whole route, top to bottom. Her childhood had been spent between Isabella Plains, Emerald Forest, and Vhenkil, climbing trees, talking to plants, and trying (and failing) to befriend bug Pokemon.
So as she walked down the dirt path, Oak was in no trouble of getting lost if she didn't pay attention to where she was going - which she wasn't. She had her thoughts focused on the Pokeball in her hand. She studied the design on the bottom, a yellow bell with two leaves, made to symbolize the Pokemon inside.
Victor - for Victor is what she had named the Bellsprout - was strange. Definitely stranger than she had expected, but Oak wasn't about to give up on him because of a little screaming. In fact, she felt a bit bad that she hadn't taken him out of his Pokeball at all since she left the Lab. She was, for the first time in quite a while, nervous. Nervous that she wouldn't be able to help him, or that he'd run away and get hurt.
She was nervous he wouldn't like her.
Luckily, her mind was taken off of the nerve-wracking subject when Oak heard a light "thunk!" Her head came up, her pigtails bouncing back out of her face and her emerald eyes wide with curiosity. When she saw the Sentret, sprawled on the path in front of her, those green circles widened even more and a concerned noise was yanked from her throat.
"Oh no, are you alright?" she exclaimed, rushing forward to stand a couple of feet from the wild Pokemon. Oak attached Victor's Pokeball to her belt and crouched down to be closer to the Sentret's level, not noticing the two trainers not far off, "Did you get hurt?" she asked, tilting her head slightly. If she remembered correctly, she had a potion or two buried in her sunflower-shaped bag.
Digging through the various empty Pokeballs and berries, Oak finally found one of the potions, taking it from the large yellow and brown bag, "Here, I have a potion if you need one," she offered, holding the purple bottle out to the squirrel-ish Pokemon.

((I'm incredibly sorry for the long wait. D: I lost my muse and couldn't think of anything... *feels bad* ;-)
While she was walking, Zephyra had begun to hum a cheerful little tune that greatly annoyed Leau, and the poor little crocodile-like Pokemon squirmed and fought until Zeph finally let go of the Totodile, and she fell to the ground. Zephyra just smiled, and continued on.
"Hm?" She blinked, turning to look at Marley, and she seemed as if she didn't really understand Marley. Then again, she tended to wear a look of confusion when something happened to distract her from her thoughts. Finally, her mind registered the current events, and chose a remark: "Well, that's why I was whispering, silly!" She grinned, but then it faltered, and turned into an 'o'. She stared ahead at the Sentret, and ran over to the little normal-type, bending down to check how much it was hurt.
She watched Oak take out the Potion, and said, "I'm not sure if a wild Pokemon will accept something man-made. You should try berries." She took off the navy blue bag she wore and opened the zipper, reaching in a hand to search for the berries. At last, with a look of mild triumph on her face, the hand emerged holding two round berries, and she held out the hand to the Sentret.
And throughout this whole time, Leau just watched, shaking her head at the stupidity of the Sentret. She had always wondered why some Pokemon acted like idiots, and others, like her, were pure geniuses. It must run in that rodent's bloodline... She thought, with distaste.
