She had felt uneasy about the beginning of the journey, she had been so ready and prepared for it before she had left her home. At least back in her home, she knew that she would be able to come back to it no matter what happened, but now that she really was on her own she wasn’t all that sure how it was that she was supposed to be feeling. Though she sucked in a breath as she saw that the lab was coming up in her direction, many things were running through her mind at the time, but she was trying to clear all of those thoughts out of her mind for the time, she wanted to be able to not have to focus on just one thing, she wanted to try and find something that she could distract herself with.
Even if it is only was for a moment or two, though when she felt like she was close enough to the lab she reached down and pulled out the camera from her bag and took a couple quick shots of the old looking building. Though she had heard many things about different labs, sometimes one would be able to go on around and have someone catch a Pokémon for them, or you would be able to select a Pokémon from the list in the lab, where there wouldn’t be nearly as much risk as there would be while out in the grass, but for the time being Zyn was perfectly content with just sort of heading whichever way she seemed to like more. For this region at least, she was going to go a head and start towards the back, in hopes of finding this Ranger that had been said to be there, one that would be able to find her, her first Pokémon.
Though whether or not there was actually someone there, she would end up getting her first Pokémon in some way or another, even if it meant that she would have to come back to where the Lab was and select which Pokémon she would want. Though at the time Zyn was really leaning much more towards the fact that she wanted either a fire type or an electric type if she were to go into the Lab, but if she were going to go out into this field, then she would just have to hope for the best. For Zyn knew that there was a chance that she would get a Pokémon that was less desirable, or there was a chance that she could also get something that was more or less on the desirable side, it all depended on what was going to be happening in the next couple minutes. Zyn chewed the inside of her lip and she pushed her dark colored hair out of her face, having no desire at the time for it to be something that would be an annoyance to her. But from time to time Zyn tended to let her mind just sort of wander off and if during this time she believed that her hair had a mind of it’s own, and simply let the hair fall into her face to mock her, or to drive her insane.
Just for it’s own amusement, though Zyn had no real proof that something like that was actually happening. That something like that could really happen in the first place, though she was sure that if something like that could happen, then she would have a real reason to be concerned or to be annoyed about it. Though for the time it seemed like she would have to just suck it up for the time, plus she really didn’t have much of anyone in the way to complain to about this sort of thing, unless of course she made up some sort of character inside of her mind that she could have a conversation with. But that would probably make someone think that she was insane, if she ever chose to tell someone about that little fact about her.
She tucked her hair out of her face once more as she felt it inching back towards the front of the her face, and once she had done this she then tucked her camera safely away back in her messenger bag, making sure that the fold over top was securely shut for the time. She whistled a bit under her breath before then stepped forward and into this field she looked around for a brief moment and then saw that the Ranger must have been around at least recently. Shifting the bag on her shoulder she then took a couple more steps towards the center where she could see the foot prints of what looked like a Pokémon and then the boot prints of what she had guessed a moment before hand were the Ranger’s prints. “Hello?” Was the first thing that Zyn had come to say.
Shifting her weight from one foot to then another foot as she waited to hear some sort of recognition, and during this time of course her mind wandered from one thing to another. Namely she was thinking of a mix between Pokémon and her journey to back towards her family and what it was that they could possibly be doing at this time, and if they were even thinking of her. The typical kind of thing that someone would think if they had just journeyed off on their own for the first time, or that was something that Zyn thought anyway, she would have thought that many others would be worried about their families or if they would be a good enough trainer to even be able to take care of their first Pokémon.
She narrowed her eyes out of annoyance as she then didn’t hear a reply come from anyone around her, she glanced towards the tall grass debating slightly with herself whether or not she would be able to take on whatever Pokémon may have been out there. Then she reminded herself that they had things such as claws and teeth, and attacks that could do her more harm then any good, plus the fact that she also didn’t have much in the way of any trainer supplies at the time. So there wasn’t much in the way of a chance of her being able to catch the Pokémon even if she some how managed to beat it down.
She would just have a lump of Pokémon with her, and even as she invisioned this a chill ran down her spine. Zyn couldn’t see herself ever allowing herself to really go a head and do something along the lines of that, it just simply wouldn’t be the right thing to do. “Ughhhh.,.” Murmured Zyn under her breath in annoyance before she then opened her mouth once more too see if she would be getting a reply this time, and if she didn’t then she guessed she would just have to head off to the lab. “Hello?! Anyone out there?” Zyn then called out the annoyance that she was feeling seemed to be lacing the tone of her voice as well.
She shifted her weight once more before she then shoved her hands in her pockets for a long moment. Her icy blue-green eyes then came to look around the area for a moment as she tried to pick up some sort of movement from the grass or from may be from the building that she could see wasn’t too far off from where ot was that she was standing herself.
Though when she didn’t receive an answer she then slowly slunk off back in the direction of where she had seen the Lab a few minutes before hand, looks like she would be picking from whatever Pokemon they may have for her to pick from in the first place. Sucking in another breath of air, Zyn couldn’t say that being around other people that she didn’t know was one of her strong points. Seeing as how she guessed she probably would come off as rude, or a bit on the cold side, either way it probably wouldn’t be the best thing for her, seeing as how she would be the one trying to get a Pokemon from them.
It wasn’t like it was the other way around, and even if it was, Zyn had to honestly admit to herself that she probably wouldn’t want to give a Pokemon to someone like herself, depending on the way that she would treat them, unless of course she could some how compose herself in the last few seconds that she did have. Though at the time she was coming closer to the front steps of the lab, ‘Arg. Just go with it Zyn, try and act like your at least slightly human.’ Zyn told herself a few times over and over again in her head before she then moved up the steps and she then knocked on the front door of the lab, she waited a long moment after she had knocked. Biting the inside of her lip again, now she was starting to feel unsure of herself once more, but she told herself to suck it up, she had to, this would be one of the few chances that she got.

No miracle happened, nothing out of the ordinary in the life of the lab. The Professor didn't get to the door first, of course that would be as much of a miracle as a Torkoal beating a Buneary in a race. Very unlikely. Besides the normal doorman didn;'t even have to leave the comforting folds of his padded desk chair to open the door. All he had to do was wave a finger, and think about the door opening and it did. Of course there was a notable lag in the door swinging open and the knock sounding out, rather odd when Bill was a big believer in the phrase: "The quicker you arrive the earlier you leave." It was of course his take on a older proverb.
About 2 minutes after the knock had echoed through the clean interior of the lab the door finally decided that it would like to open.Or the Alakazam behind his desk decided that HE would like it to open. With a creak of unoiled hinges the stainless steel door swung out from its door-frame. The door itself seemed to shimmer with a internal blue glow. Most easily related to striking moonlight filtering down through the heavens. Very pretty, not that the Alakzam causing it cared anything for the moon, and beauty of any kind.
"Come in.Wipe your feet on the rug, this place is dirty enough without you helping out the dirt in its strategical invasion." The voice itself was robotic, and slightly intimidating. Maybe the intimidation was due to the lack of any emotion, and the even keel all the words were spoken with. Not one seemed to be above any of the others in importance. Turning away from the door the Alakazam went back to the Rubix cube that was floating inches above his desk, and with a sigh , and a toss of his head sent it back into its place on the bookshelf. Solved, and much to simple.
From the general area of the kitchen the grunts of baby pokemon were audible. A human voice, was also mixed in with the melee, and was obviously laughing. James, such a child sometimes. Bill thought to himself as he waited to h ear the clicking of the door as the professor returned, the one that allowed him to ignore the girl, or to cease arguing with her if she became rude. So far there came no reassuring click though. Odd the professor was being slow today.Deciding to inform him of the visitor Bill stood up from his chair , and with a blink of his black eyes sent the kitchen door into a head on collision with it's door-frame. 'CRACKK!'
While he could have told him with his voice or mind alone, this way was much more enjoyable to the Alakazam. he loved to surprise James, mostly to see that normal smile off of his face, that damn happy aura annoyed the hell out of him. He should have been the star of a Children's pokemon show, not revered as one of the best researchers out there.
The clattering of a bucket as heard as the professor whirled around, if one could judge by his shadow disappearing from view. The noises source temporarily unknown. The food bucket was now laying on its side, and a perplexed look crossed the professor's voice as he looked inside the lab to ask Bill whatever was the matter. Yet upon seeing the girl he sighed. "I'll be there in a minute dear hang on."
The sound of Pokemon being returned to their pokeballs ,and flashes of red light were visible from beyond the ajar door. Seconds later the professor strode into the kitchen, laying a empty bucket on the floor with a clatter he smiled at the girl, for what had to be the tenth time in five seconds. It was hard to resist the older man's infectious smile, of course Bill being around prevented most trainers from smiling as much as he.
'Welcome to the lab. Excited?" She looked a little to old to be excited, but at the moment he was to busy making sure all the pokemon were back inside to worry about the looks of another new trainer. Leaning forward on his cane he nodded, more to himself then anything. They were all here and accounted for. Good. At the moment Professor James Mahoghany didn't feel like having a Jenny walk into his lab and lay down one of his charges with a wagging finger about the gaping hole in one of his fencing sections.
Taking a deep breath he decided it was time to get down to business. "Do you have any ideas for what Pokemon you would like? or any inquiries about your choices." Looking at her closely he quickly decided that she could handle a more powerful Pokemon then those he normally handed out to new trainers.
