<Click Clack, Click Clack> Went Randy's sneakers on the sterile floor of the adoption center. She was sorry to see so many unwanted Pokemon here. She read each sign, and looked at each pokemon in turn. But when she read the sign outside Medi's cage, she stopped. She paused for a long time, then pulled out a pokeball from her belt and let her Torchic, Blaze, materialize on her shoulder.
"What do you think of this Pokemon, Blaze?" She asked.
"Tor!" Said the shy little Pokemon to the quiet Meditite by way of greeting, meaning something akin to "Greetings, I'm Blaze. Who are you?"

The Meditite looked up at the Torchic. A sigh escaped from between his lips. <Fine.> Simple, and polite enough, but his manner was also infuriating, it was as if he didn't really care what anyone else said to him. Sniffing at the Torchic he realized he was dealing with a much lower leveled pokemon. Sniffibly low actually. A level five or so, rather pitiful actaully.
A white coated Attendant smiled at the young girl as she strode towards him. "Do you like him dearie?" She seemed to like him well enough. He wa quiet, and fankly got on her nerves, even if he did nothing wrong, which is why his original trainer had left him here.

Blaze was a little confused by the answer, but he got the feeling Medi wasn't too impressed with him. He wasn't really sure how he felt about that.
Randy felt that she could handle a quiet, polite enough, pokemon, even if it was a little proud. So she walked over to the attendant and said, "Why yes, I think I'd like to take this one with me, please." She felt sorry for the pokemon she couldn't help, but maybe she could help this one.

"Alright. Money?" Frankly she would have given the annoying Meditite over without any pay. Yet that pay was used to feed the unfortuanate pokemon whose trainer's had died. Or even the few that had been murdered. That had always been nasty business, those pokemon were beyond saving. So depressed they usually were that even the once happy-go-lucky , ponytail wearing blonde, felt herself brcoming depressed. Lucky for her they had sent her down to the problems ward no that long ago. It was much better then the trauma center. Even if the pokemon were a bunch of misbehaved morons, or in this one's case, annoying.

Oddly enough, although she was a little bothered by something she couldn't name, Randy was actually almost completely immune to the Meditite's annoying nature. Maybe it was due to her naiveity or her youth and inexperience with the world. She was determined to teach the Meditite some manners though, as it had seemed a triffle rude when it didn't respond much to Blaze--who had seemed at a loss for words as to what he thought of the Meditite. It may come down to one or the other's ability to hold out longest, when push came to shove down the road, however.
"Yes ma'am, I have it right here." Said Randy, breaking out of her revery. She handed over the money needed for the Meditite, $1150.

The attendant took the money from the girl. Then reaching behind her desk she took out a pokeball and slid it across the table. "Congratulations, he's all yours." In reality she didnt' feel congratulations were in order, but she handed them out anyway. It was part of her job description and her contract.

"Thanks!" Said Randy, taking the pokeball. She decided she would have to be carefull in the way she trained this pokemon. She didn't really know what it had been through, but now it was hers, and she wanted it to be a strong addition to her team.
Then she bid farewell to the attendant, and attaching the pokeball to her belt, she headed back into the field. On the next phase of her continuing 'Pokemon Journey'.
