Eternal storms raged around the island, the eye of it directly over the Tower. Lightning flashed and thunder boomed. The lightning gave split second illumination to the window surrounded throne room, but as soon as the thunder clapped, the room was shrouded in darkness once more. This room seemed to hold an even more ominous air than the rest of the Castle.
A tall figure stood at a section of windows that looked over the massive battle arena. A training battle was going on below. A Sandslash and a Rapidash were fighting it out to see who would gain their master's eye and be privileged to stay in the Tower. The Rapidash charged towards the Sandslash, dust spewing from its nostrils in puffs and its head lowered offensively. It planned to impale the Sandslash in its vulnerable belly with its horn. At the last minute, the Sandslash curled into its protective ball, exposing its spikes to the oncoming fire horse. It was a rather entertaining battle, the fighters evenly matched.
The purple eyes of their spectator narrowed slightly. He folded his three digit hands on top of one another behind his back and his thick tail gave a hearty lash. This was not what he wanted. He didn't want clones that were merely average and couldn't beat one another. He needed them to exceed his expectations, but those were pretty high, so he assumed that such wouldn't be possible. It was why he needed the Legendaries to side with him. Their power was phenomenal and if Mewtwo could use that to his disposal, his dream would be realized sooner than later.
The problem, though, was to convince them. Mewtwo would undoubtedly resort to capturing the Legendaries, but he could attempt diplomacy and try to persuade him. If not, well, then they were as good as his. After all, he was considered the most powerful Pokemon in the world.
With these musings in his head, Mewtwo continued to watch the battle below. Both opponents were beginning to show signs of weakness, but they both pressed on. Scars and burns were easily seen on them and it was clear that they were in pain. Such a pity. Oh well, it looked like it would be back to the Dark Realm with them.

A gust of wind blew through the room followed by a large dragoniye. Leeira's violet colored eyes casted glances around Mewtwo's room for anything she could bump her head on.With a audible sigh she saw nothing was visible.Relaxing she let her log sized tail thump loudly into the floor. She had flew up from the battlefield when the first round had ended. She had to ask her boss a few questions.
"So which one gets moved up?The rapidash is very brash but extremely fiery and fast. While the sandslash has a extreme amount of durability, and uses his size to his advantage." Leeira drawled copying the trainer of the younger pokemon who stood near the battlefield with a clipboard and wrote down all this crap. This was normal battle protocol. With a audible snap her purple mebraned wings foled against her back. She turned to hide the grimace on her face.A large burn was visible on the right one. She wasn't about to complain aloud though. That was one way to be booted down to the minor leagues.
She wasn't about to complain about Valrog either. His ferocity and plain aggression were over the top, yet she knew not to complain. A slight smile on her face she tried to pper out the window.Shivering everytime lightning struck, the pure closness of the tower to the sky made her amrs tingle everytime. Not to mention she felt like someone was always watching her in the tower. Why would pokemon battle to the death over something so pathetic as a closer spot to Mewtwo besides food of course.

The doors swung open with the gust created by Leeira's wing beats upon her entrance, but Mewtwo wasn't phased. He stood as if nothing had even happened, only his tail swaying slightly in the light burst of air. He didn't even need to use his psychic abilities to guess who it was. The slight ruckus the Dragonite made was enough to let him know if was her.
As Leeira voiced her observations about the fighters below, it seemed that Mewtwo was completely ignoring her, at first. He stood perfectly still -out of his own habit- with his eyes still downwards on the arena. He had clearly seen every quality of the Sandslash and the Rapidash for himself, but he decided to humor Leeira. She did well to keep written track of each battle. It was useful to keep documents on each of the clones. It was a just in case sort of thing.
"As of now, neither," he began with his regular indifference in the tone of his "voice", but it was a sign that he in fact, was listening to Leeira. Mewtwo's posture straightened, his head lifting slightly as purple eyes were still focused downward. "They'll be treated for their injuries and placed back into the Dark Realm," he explained resolutely, "they'll be given another chance when they've proven to be ready."
Catching Leeira's reaction to the lightning out of the corner of his eye, Mewtwo side glanced up at her. "Something is troubling you, Leeira," he asked, though it sounded more like an observation than a question. Even if he didn't do well in portraying many emotions, Mewtwo certainly knew by now the signs of them in another. Whether he read them telepathically or not was his secret.

Leeira had wagered as much.Neither of them seemed to shine enough, and seemed much more brutish then strong. That reminded her of a certain orange fiend. It took something special to be promoted,or you had to be one of the first made, which therefore made you special. She still felt bad for them though.so many clones had died in the maelstorm of the Dark realm trying to get into the tower.Even if a new pokemon madei t she doubted they ever got far before they were booted down again.
Her violet eyes caught those of Mewtwo's.She sometimes ouldn't help but wonder wat he was really feeling under all the indifference he showed. Leeira couldn't remember hearing him yell for quite a long time. She'd as Valrog and Bonecrusher later if she could find either of them. They seemed to be busy now a days. Which probably meant that her lord was planning something big.
While she realized it wasn't a direct question she figured it would best to reply to Mewtwo in some way. "No, its nothing really. I hadn't been expecting that lightning is all. really wasn't expecting to feel it either. " She then realized how stupid that sounded. It was almsot always raining, or storming up here. Not to mention she had lived in the tower her whole life so she should have been used to it by now. She had never very good at making things seem unimportant.

Mewtwo's head now fully turned to face Leeira. The Dragonite being nearly a full foot taller than him, the Pokemon's head had to crane back slightly. Half lidded eyes blinked once at her words, followed by brow rising. She prattled on about not expecting it. Not expecting lightning? Mewtwo had to suppress a roll of his eyes.
Opting to stay emotionless, as always, Mewtwo's head turned back to look out one of the many windows. By now, both the Sandslash and the Rapidash were collapsed on the ground, but Mewtwo paid no attention to them now. Once they were able to walk again, they'd be out soon enough.
"You've been surrounded by the thunderstorms nearly since the day you were created," he pointed out, his chin dipping a bit closer to his chest, "I assumed you would've become accustomed to it by now." Another flash of lightning lit up the room directly after his words, thunder giving the room a tremor that could barely be felt. As usual, no reaction came out of the Castle's Lord.

The lightning flashed in the dragonite's eyes as she looked at Mewtwo. She had known that to be very ignorant excuse to use. Leeira had no reply for this yet after a few minutes of thought responded with something. "Oh after my little bout with Valrog I am a little jittery m'lord." Her purple eyes trailed to the window. The slanting rain resembling some monstrous creatures tentacles raking the sky again and again, the thunder his roar and the lightning his eyes. Of course now that she thought about, a memory of someone telling that to her began to surface. She had never been that creative anyway.
Taking a deep breath she smelt the refreshing smell of rain. Ever since she could remember , she loved to sit outside and let the rain run down her back.It was a excellent way to clear her thoughts of any uncertainties. Not to mention the rain in her eyes magnified things a hundred percent.she'd love to see Valrog try to fly in a rainstorm. He'd probably have his tail tucked in between his wings the whole time.A smug look crossed the dragonites face, yet a few seconds later vanished with the next lightning strike. Her eyes trailing down to the blood, and footprint covered battlefield.
With the lightning drawing everything into perspective she was able to see the two clones laying prone on the ground. The rain pelting the rapidash. It was cruel to force creatures to fight like that, yt there was no other way to get strong.Unless you traiend as she did fighting discarded human articles such as giant bricks that had fallen from abandoned parts of the tower.

In the short silence, Mewtwo felt no need to break it. He continued observing the outside, watching the rain. His violet gaze followed the falling drops until they rested on the winded combatants below. He could see the steam coming from the Rapidash's mane as the water fell on it. He could faintly hear a soft whinny of a cry come from the fallen creature. The Sandslash shook convulsively, the pelting rain send chills through it.
His shoulders heaving in a quiet sigh, Mewtwo let his eyes fall shut. Once they snapped open again, they pulsated an electric blue for a second. The doors to the side of the arena momentarily glowed the same blue, then opened with a thunderous creak. With a hard gaze, Mewtwo waited to see if the two Pokemon would sum up the energy to to pick themselves up and walk out. They only trembled and made several futile attempts to stand. Mewtwo's eyes narrowed.
A barely noticeable perk came from the Genetic Pokemon when Leeira spoke up again. Purple eyes rolled up to side-glance up at her. "Again," he asked, though his "voice" still didn't sound as curious as it probably should've. Though Mewtwo encouraged as much training as possible in his realm, the childish quarrels between the two older clones was getting a bit repetitive. Neither seemed to be getting any stronger, only more frustrated with one another.
Checking to see if the clones below were able to leave, Mewtwo's ever scrutinizing gaze fell outside again. They still lied there, nearly unconscious. His chin dipping towards his chest again, Mewtwo's brows lowered as he heaved another sigh. His eyes glowed again, now followed by the two battlers below to become engulfed in the psychic aura, as well. Though a bit shaken from the experience, they were lifted to their feet. With the aid of Mewtwo's powers, they were escorted slowly, but surely out the doors and towards the infirmary.
Mewtwo often saw his clones as his children and he their father. Of course, he was more like the type of father that expected their children to succeed at everything thrown at them and never accepted losing. There was some care for them from the Castle Lord, though. He couldn't really think of it as compassion towards them. Every time he thought about it, it all just lead back to the fact that he needed warriors and they needed to be taken care of if they were to perform well.
Once they were gone, Mewtwo's eyes returned to normal. He turned fully towards Leeira, looking up at her with his arms still folded behind his back. He looked her over for a second, catching the burn that was on her wing. With half lidded eyes, the almond shaped orbs meet Leeira's. "Have you managed to defeat Valrog in battle yet," he questioned, though he already expected an answer. Leeira was the weakest of his original four. He only kept her in the Tower because of her skills with speed and getting along with anyone Mewtwo needed a use for. She was the friendliest face of clone army and if Mewtwo needed to lure someone to him, she was who he used.

Leeira watched as the doors opened. She wondered if he could do that through stone as well. She had seen Alakazam's open doors on the other side of the room, yet she doubted any could do it from such a distance.Upon hearing him ask 'Again?' she blushed ever so slightly. They had only fought a few times, at least she hadn't thought it enough to be asked agai nas if she had done it several. "Yel m'lord. Training for the Tower Keep tournament and all. Speaking of which how far away is it..milord?"
The Dragonite watched as the two creatures tried their best to pick themselves off the floor and walk out.Yet no matter how hard they tried they didn't have the strength remaining, that would be written down as pure laziness in her book, pain was of the mind. The two antenaes on her head lifted up slightly as the psychic energy of Mewtwo wrapepd around the failures and helepd them off to the infirmaries. Those two had made Mewtwo waste his precious energy to help them pick their lazy asses off the ground. They wouldn't be in the Tower anytime soon, she wagered after this small battle they'd just disappear.
Leeira could feel the heat in her face raising as he asked about her many failures with Valrog. "Well the last time I made him sit down, although it was his choice. Although after being thrown about by him so many times I try not to pick fights with him. Not like we would actually ever kill one another though we are related." Of course she meant related in the clone sense that they were all related under their only parent Mewtwo. A small , and good natured grin appeared on her face as she remembered the conversation they had covered. She would never rat him out, unless he ahd already done so to her. (Leeira may be nice now Katse. She won't be like this much longer.I have a nice idea about hwo to fix her personality)

((Augh, finally! So sorry for such a long wait on this post. )) The Castle Lord saw the reaction to his question as plain as day on the Dragonite. Yes, again. It was true that repeated battles were a must for training, but Mewtwo had a feeling that the spats between Leeira and Valrog were a little more than simply improving one's skills. He was observant enough to see the rivalries between his clones, especially his original four. He encouraged a few, but he knew when they became unreasonable and unnecessary. He had learned it from his own experiences. As Leeira's question of when the next tournament was came up, Mewtwo turned away from the window. He let his hands fall limp to his sides and took a few steps across the room. As he approached his throne, one arm lazily lifted and ran along its frame. The Genetic Pokemon made his way to another portion of the windows that surrounded the room and paused. His tail gave a single swish, the new aged Legendary looking to be lost in his own thoughts. He said nothing in reply to Leeira until she asked, "m'lord?" He didn't turn his head back to face her, only choosing to gaze out the new window he was staring at. "Soon enough," he finally answered. Violet eyes looked out on the scenery that laid before him. It was the Dark Realm, alive with the hundreds of clones on its turf. He looked towards the Central Arena, which was inactive at this moment. Mewtwo knew, however, how eager many of the clone Pokemon were to set foot in there. "The contestants are still being gathered," he added. Mewtwo listened to Leeira as she continued on about her brawls with Valrog. He didn't look back at her or seem to acknowledge her words, at first. Again, he just seemed to be ignoring her. He simply let her talk. "I see," came the monotone thoughts. "Be sure to pass that ideology on to your comrades in both the Tower and the Realm," he ordered calmly. His head now turned slightly to glance back at her out of the corner of one vibrant purple eye. "I would rather not have the army's numbers dwindled from their own kind," he explained a bit more sharply as his brow lowered.
