The pidgeot's wings beat heavily against the air, creating clouds of dirt underneath its one talon. The bird's feathered head arched to the side so that it could see the passengers that clung to its back. Lids quickly blinked the dust from its bright eyes and it cooed affectionately at its trainer, a young man with a goatee and goggles on. Next to the pidgeot's trainer sat a teenage girl who's blue eyes were wide from the exhilaration of the long flight. Her blond hair was a tangled mess and using both hands she smoothed it down against her neck. The man chuckled warmly then motioned for the bird to land. Obediently, the pidgeot set down upon it's talon and crouched so that both wings touched the ground.
"Are you sure you don't want me to fly you all the way to Vhenkil town, Rose?" He asked, concerned that the girl should walk through the field when he could easily have Avian fly her. The girl shook her head, "Nope, this is perfect." Rose jumped from the back of the pidgeot then landed less than gracefully on the ground. She brushed herself off then ran her fingers through the bird's long feathers and in return it grabbed a chunk of her hair in its beak. Rose grinned at the bird whom she remembered as a disabled pidgey that her family had found. They had nursed him back to health and even taught him to fly. Rose's giddy blue eyes looked over at the rough looking man who had adopted the pidgeotto and named him Avian. "So Jack, how is my old buddy doing?" Rose asked. The man stroked Avian's neck lovingly, "He always gets people to where they need to go, usually early to. Everyone appreciates that."
Rose took her hair gently from Avian's beak then released Kleio and Goyathlay from their pokeballs. Kleio stood beside her trainer and looked up expectantly toward her. The growlithe on the other hand had his nose to the ground and was running off into the field. All Rose saw was the bushy cream colored tail fade into the distance. With a sigh she waved goodbye to Jack the pilot so that she could follow Goyathlay. Kleio followed just ahead of her, annoyed by the growlithe's predictable disappearance. He was always getting himself into trouble.
The tall teen didn't mind Goyathlay's mischief this time however, she was very excited to go explore. Finally she was on her own and could see wild pokemon for herself. Rose sped up to a jog, Kleio happy to run alongside her. The morning sun shone brightly on her pale face and she hoped that it would add some sort of color to her skin, be it tan or otherwise. "Today's going to be a great day, Kleio." The poochyena yipped in agreement.

Brushing a strand of hair from her face, the blonde watched as the giant bird landed on Route One and flew off. Both of her blue eyes were alight with awe as the powerful bird flew away. Then they both drifted to the Pidgey perched on a bench above her; wrinkling her nose in thought that her wimpy little Taro could ever be anything like tgat powerful Pokemon, the one whose head feathers seemed to glow gold in the afternoon sun. letting out a sigh the girl's eyes settled on the girl, and soon became alight with the green fires of envy. She was jealous, she had never been that close to a Pidgeot before.
Walking from the bush Fiona narrowed her eyes and start walking towards the girl, purposelly shouldering her as she walked by. Behind her the Pidgey; Taro flew lazily, stopping every few seconds to watch his trainer, who had now turned around, and was chattering at Rose.
"Why sorry, you were so plain I tought you were a elevated part of the path." In her hand the creature inside began to beat itself against the bars of the cage, both of his red eyes alight with battle fire, the smile on his trainers face telling him that he was soon to get what he watned, a bloody battle, and some true fun. Fighting wimpy little Taro was no fun. Gid liked it when they fought back, and shrieked at him to stop. Taro just stood there and let fate take him where it liked. Which made him less then fun.
A smirk spread across Fiona's lips, she had seen the Growlithe scamper off into the bush. Which meant that the girl had one pokemon; folding her arms across her chest, she let out a shrill whistle, and held out her right arm. With a resigned groan the Pidgey; Taro dove from his current perch, and landed on her arm. "Well--you refuse to apology to bumping into me--so I'll hvae to battle it into you." Thrusting her hips forward, she twirled about , trying to show off what she thought was a wonderful phsyique. Which is why her blue suit was so tight, it was tight enough for the top two buttons to have burst off, showing the start of clevage. "And you can't say no dear--trainers are trainers you know?" So what if it was unfair? Her pokemon was a level or two higher.

The girl jerked forward to a stop as the other blond knocked into her shoulder. Rose fixed the sleeve of her tank top that had fallen from her shoulder, showing her bra strap. A small apologetic smile appeared on her face as she regained her balance. Kleio hid between her legs, wary of the stranger. The silver fur on her back and shoulder blades stood on end and her crystalline blue eyes shone disapprovingly at the new trainer.
"Oh I'm sor-" She stopped, mouth agape at the girl's comment. The innocent smile was gone in a heartbeat and instead was replaced with a perfect O. Plain? Even though she agreed, a fiery anger quieted that self conscious part of her personality as a new confidence took hold. One of her hands rested at her hip and the other was balled into a fist. The poochyena growled savagely, feeling her trainer's contempt. Rose didn't usually get into conflicts, almost never started them, and was not experienced at all in throwing insults around at the top of her head. "Excuse me?" She said, exasperated with disbelief. Most of the people in her former town were nice and the girl's sudden vindictiveness surprised her.
The hand on her hip reached tentatively for the scar across her neck. It was a habit of hers and feeling the deep gash always filled her with a sense of self-assurance and safety, if she survived that beedrill attack some nasty little witch couldn't hurt her. Despite knowing that she was stronger than the need to back down, Rose was naturally submissive and that part of her was not easy to conceal. "Uh...It's okay? Even though it was your fault. I guess you don't have any common manners." Her voice was icy and bitter and she stared hard back into the other girl's eyes.
Immediate dislike cursed through her veins and filled her with a burning passion like a wildfire in a forest. The way the blond moved and the tight clothes she wore just screamed slut and those kind of girls always filled Rose with disgust. They set a bad example for the rest of us. She thought with loathing. The skinny waist and long legs of the trainer made her feel envious and angry at herself simultaneously. Kleio shared her mistress' feelings of hatred, only stronger. She could see right through the girl and wanted to take a bite out of the body that she so fleetingly paraded around.
Rose looked at the pidgey then back at the furious canine crouched between her legs. She could take it easily. Rose had complete confidence in Kleio's abilities even though Goyathlay was the better fighter. The growlithe often became distracted during a battle and never had the fever to win like the poochyena did. Kleio would keep fighting until she lay limp on the ground. "I guess I'll have to battle a bit of modesty and courtesy into you. Bring it."

"Oh look at that Taro and Gid, she's not just ugly but deaf as well." A smirk slowly crawled its way across her face. The girl would have been better off taking the verbal abusee in silence. The exasperated question ("what?') was easy ammo for Fiona. This girl was much to easy to pick on. On her arm Taro let out a quiet chur, and shook his head, it was obvious he didn'y want to be a part of this. TThe gesture was his way of apology.
Seeing the actions of her Pidgey Giona's smirk turned downward, and her lips pursed. No doubt the idiotic pacifist would refuse to fight or lose on purpose. Besides the high leveled pokemon of her oppenent caused for some true fire power. Removing her hand from her hip she laid the cage on the ground, and kneeled down. Opening the cage door she watched as a red blur dashed from the confines of its prison. Then in the same movement she let go of the door and plucked the shocked Pidgey from his perch, adn with a cackle shoved him into the cage, locking it. Being used to being put into the cage he sighed, and nestled against its hard wooden bottom, swaying slightly as his trainer hoisted the wicker construct back into the air.
Above her the Spearow; Gid let out a triumpahnt caw, which in human terms was a cackle. This was soon followed up by a string of childish wordds. <Fights--Fights now--Fun nows--Gid's gonna have some fun now> Lazily he circled over head, occasionally swooping down, anxious to be battlng, and tearing apart the little puppy below, it might taste good. Then deciding he had waited long enough for it to be adequeately surprising he dropped from the sky, heading like a bullet towards the Poochenya. A odd war cry emitting from his mouth.
Fiona meanwhile sat down on the ground, and pulled her backpack from her left shoulder. Soon she had a ham sandwich laid out before her crossed legs. Lifting ti to her mouth she took a bite, not even bothering to watch the battle. Gid could handle it well enough on his own. Seemingly detatched from the battle the bird trainer replied to Rose's earlier statement. "Modesty and courtesy--are for those without good looks--Ugly duck." This was spoken offhandedly, but the mayonaisee and pieces of ham spewing from her mouth made it rather hard to watch her speak; disgusting as it was.
(I really need a refill--*sigh*OH! Start counting your words.)

Rose couldn't hide that she was really hurt by the insults and the frown on her face deepened. She wanted to come back with something that hurt just as much but predictably Rose could only do that after the chance had passed. She was smart and could make up witty remarks but under stress that ability just disappeared. Seeing the pidgey's apology made her feel a little better but also she pitied the poor pokemon. To have a trainer like that must be difficult.
Rose watched the crazed bird being let out of its cage, the surprise she felt was plain on her face. Again feelings of pity for the trainer's other pokemon, Taro caused her to shake her head in disapproval. Her blue eyes darted to the mahogany object that flew by her and Kleio howled fiercely to face her attack. Rose could barely keep her eyes on the spearow, how would she be able to help Kleio at all?
Rose shaded her light eyes with one hand as she watched the bird circle over head. Its cocky jeers were as awful as nails on a chalkboard and it made her grimace. She couldn't tell which she disliked more, the pokemon or its trainer. Kleio seemed just as irritated by Gid and she had to stop herself from foolishly trying to jump up at it from the ground.
The sudden dive bomb was unexpected and Rose put her arms up to protect her face. It appeared that the spearow was flying was toward her at a fast speed. The poochyena charged out from under her legs with blood lust shining in her lustrous sapphire eyes. Rose stumbled back quickly away from the battling pokemon, looking quickly over at the annoying girl...Who was eating a sandwich.
That would have been a palm to forehead moment if not for the startling yelp from Kleio. Immediately, Rose returned her attention to her poochyena. That slap in the face of trainer customs would have to be ignored for her pokemon's sake. That act had obviously hurt Rose's pride and it drove the poochyena to fight even harder for her. She could imagine the look on the trainer's face when her spearow lay beak down in the dirt.
The spearow was far from being beak down, however. Its talons had ripped into the poochyena's back, leaving blood spurting over her silver pelt. With an enraged snarl, Kleio jumped up and her jaws snapped together with the bird's leg inside it. 416 words

Glid allowed the dog to snap down on its leg. Then twisting its claw, and he attempted to grab onto the Poochenyas jawbone. Hopping around like a pogo stick Glid drove her beak toward the Poochenya's skull, at least three times, using his claw clenched around the dogs jaw for anchorage, and leverage. The smell of blood made the Spearow very proud of himself. ,Isn't this fun puppy-wuppy!? Look at all the fun we're having.> It seemed as if the bird didn't even care about the fangs chomping into his legs, or the fact that blood was pouring from his limb to the ground. The only thing he seemed to care about was ripping apart Kleio.
Which was fun.
Looking up from her lunch for a moment Fiona nodded. "Hungry?" This question was directed at Rose, and was also a distraction tactic. Most trainers were hungry by the time they got into Route One. Hopefully this girl was no different, of course it also provided another opportunity to belittle her. She wanted to see more of those frowns. It was entertaining. Reaching her arm back up to her mouth she took another bite of her sandwich. Completely ignoring the shrieks and gruesome noises coming from the battlefield.
The Pidgey meanwhile watched as Glid brutally attacked the Poochenya. No doubt that was how he would be punished for abashing Fiona earlier. Besides he could sympathize with the Poochenya, he knew it hurt. Which is why everytime either Pokemon attacked Taro winced. He hated blood, and this battle already had enough to make him sick. Which was sad--he had never seen a friendly battle, just heard talks of it from time to time. <Go Poochenya.> Frankly he hoped Glid got his ass kicked. The more tired he was tonight; the less punishment he received.
On the battlefield the Spearow zeroed in on the statement of the Pidgey. <soon I gets to have some fun with Taro too!> Then with another laugh he went back to pecking at the poochenya. (Sorry it's so bad--has been awhile since I played these three.)
