The young girl of around eleven or twelve years old, quivvered at the sight of the mountain trail a bit, but stood her ground, a determined expression on the gym leaders face. "Alright team." She said to the three electric pokemon that stood next to her. "It's time to find the lost Pichu." She said.
Jolteon, his fur sticking out like always, scratched at his ear, a smile on his face. He walked up to her and licked her hand, to let her know that it would be alright. He loved his trainer deeply just as much as she loved all three of her pokemon. His two golden ears flicked back and forth once, and waited for them to start moving.
Pikachu, attached to her shoulder at the moment, made his cheeks spark, ready to help out. << I'm ready! >> He said through pokemon language. Her plopped himself on the young gym leaders head and flicked both ears, looking out at the mountain trail that the group stared out at, looking for the small Pichu that should be one of the pokemon out at the power plant. << Wonder where it could be .... >> He said, his eyes giving a look of worry.
Luxio glanced up at Pikachu and began heading up the trail. << Well we wont find it sitting here all day. >> He commented, flicking his thin, star ended tail at his trainer and his team mates. << So why dont we start right now by searching? >> He said, knowing that if he moved, Jillian would do the same.
Jillian smiled at both her pokemon, trying to make out what they said, even if she knew that it was a helpless and useless thing. "I'm not really sure what you guys are saying, but from the looks of Luxio, I would guess that you guys want to get going." She said, petting Jolteon between his ears gently, letting his know that she was going to be alright, and then followed Luxio. "Stay close." She called out to Luxio, who was quite some distance away.

This was a proper mountain trail, one right out of the adventure movies. The mountain was one big chunk of gray rock, narrow paths, held together by deep rooted weeds dotting their surface. Every so often a rock overhand provided shelter. Cracks a foot or so wide stretched in winding paths through the mountain, providing shortcuts for the various inhabtiants, so they didn't have to climb like Jillain and her pokemon. In fact from these cleerly disguised cracks quite a few pair of curious eyes watched, but they didn't attack. After all who wnated to tangle with those large dog things? None of them that was for sure. Of course the main path was short, but the Pichu hiding on that? No that would be too easy.
Underfoot rock would occasionally crumble, sending pebbles rolling down the rough hillside. but nothing to dangerous, the path narrowed out, more then likely forcing the group to hug the mountain's curve.
A high pitched "PIIIIIIC!!" rent the air, coming from somewhere beyond the path.
Of course there was more then one place it could have come from. There were three to be exact, a large crack the perfect size for a pokemon like Pichu, which might have allowed the cry to echo down here, and two curving path, one mostly grass, and the other barren gray soil, and large immobile boulders. Of course the Pichu was only near one of these, and it seemed to be in trouble.
As if to reinforce this fact it let out another cry.
The Pichu was nuzzled in a overhang, its mellow yellow fur drenched in sweat, sand coating his eyes, and pebbles cut into his slim, and tired body. Outside three pokemon bashed against the impromtu hselters, two Geodudes blocked the little Pichu's avenue of escape, and beyond them a Poochenya sniffed in the dirt.
The two rock fiends were invincible against al the sparks the frightened Pichu threw about, all they needed was time to bash their way in. Then they'd have their fun bullying, and taunting her.
But Jillian had a 1/3 chance of finding the thing, and if she used her resources wisely, that chance was much higher. To the right the Pichu's cry came again, fear evident in the baby's voice.

The first to hear the Pichu's cry was Pikachu himself. It sounded excatctly like the tiny pokemon and he was sure it was. But by the looks of it, none of the others had. He lept off of Jillian's shoulder, and ran off in the direction of the cry for help. << This way! >> He said.
Jillian wasn't sure what her Pikachu had said, but when he started running towards the voice, she was sure they found it. Breathing a bit to rough, since she had ran here to find the poor thing, she tripped on a rock and landed on the ground. "Keep going." She yelled out to her Jolteon and Pikachu.
Luxio came up from behind her and nudged her softly. << You alright? >> He barked, though he knew she only understood a bit. He tried to nudge her up on her feet and turned, telling her she could ride on his back. She was lucky that she was just short enough to do this or else he would have to be evolved in order to.
Jillian smiled up at her pokemon. She got up and climbed onto Luxio's back, her hands resting on his shoulders. She had a determined look on her face and as they started to bound off, she could already see the two Graveler from here.
Jolteon was first to reach the two rock pokemon, followed by Pikachu. He made a low growl, his spikey golden and white pelt sending off sparks of electricity. << Hey you two! What are you doing?! >> He barked, not all that concerned about the Poochyena that had been sniffling amoung the grass.
Pickachu's cheeks sparkled as well. "If you harm that Pichu! I will personally take you both down myself! >> He growled. He tensed his muscels, ready for a battle if these two dared it.
Jillian and Luxio were the last to make it there and she hoped off of her third electric pokemon, a soft look given to the Graveler. "Please, will you let us have the Pichu?" She asked, hoping that they would agree but those chances looked very slim.

The gravelers smiled, and one hopped over to the Jolteon, laughign as the useless sparks hit his rock hard flesh, falling to the ground soon after impact. <Having fun with a stupid Pokemon.> The pokemon smirked, and waved to his friend to continue, he could easily handle two electric Pokemon. Although if he had known that they belonged to the gym leader, he might have rethought his confidence--a few times.
The large fist of the other Geodude slammed into the lean-two shelter of the Pichu. A rain of pebbles and rock dust filtered down, and the thing let out a terriefied squeal. Sparks raced up and down as the Pichu backed up closer to the wall, and then blinked as a gush of fresh air caressed the tips of her diamond shaped ears. <How bout no.> The Geodude rumbled to Jillian's begging, and raised his arm once again.
The Geodude slammed into the shelter, and sent it caving in, a flurry of rocks from above sealing the deal, and turning th little shelter into a coffin of stone--for the Pichu--so it seemed.
The Geodude shook his head. <Stupid thing got squashed, she should have ocme out and let us play with her.> The other one groaned, and then with a smirk swung a fist at the Jolteon. <We can use you for substitutes!> The battle had begun, two on three, in favor of Jillian's team.
But then the "innocent" Poochenya sprang to life and threw himself in a headlong tackle at the Luxio and his passenger. The Geodude nearest to the Pichu's former shelter charged forward at Pikachu. <Another little mouse--where's the fun in that?!> Stopping he picked up a smattering of pebbles, and he threw them as he charged in with a tackle.
At the Jleteon's side the Geodude's fist glowed, and with a chuckle he trew a Megapunch at the canine's side. <Sprking won't help you losers out of this. What are you gonna do?!>

Pikachu growled, glarring at the first Geodude, the one who jumped over him and Jolteon. The smart aleck comment hurt his feelings, seeing as how it hit to close to home. That poor Pichu, she was gonna need some help, alot of help. << No pokemon is stupd! >> He growled, then looked back at the second one, as the first one waved to it.
Jolteon kept his attention locked on the first Geodude, making sure that it stayed far from his trainer. << Your messing with the wrong pokemon. >> He barked, stepping a couple paw steps forward. His muscles tensed and his head was lowered, as though he was ready to pounce at any moment. He was more like a cat type pokemon than a dog type really.
Jillian and Luxio backed up a bit as the first graveler landed in front of them both. Luxio stepped infront of Jillian, muscles tensed, as the gym leader frowned and gave him a glare, ready for anything that came their way. "You asked for it!" She said. Luxio nodded his head. << You have no chance of winning. >> He barked, even though he knew they were weak against these two.
Pikachu watched in horror as the wall caved in and sparks flew every direction nearly. They were going to pay for this and now the Poochyena had joined in, making its way to Jillian and Luxio. He was about to go after it, send a charge of lightning at it, but the Geodude charged at him, throwing pebbles.
"Pikachu!" Jillian's cry came from behind the small mouse pokemon. "Dodge those pebbles and use Quick Attack!" She said, then turned to Jolteon as the first Geodude began to throw a Megapunch to him. "Jolteon, dodge as well and use your tackle attack!" She yelled out to the golden canine. She then noticed the Poochyena from before charge at her and Luxio and she yelled out, "Luxio!" As the Poochyena she was pointing at charged at both pokemon with a tackle attack.
Luxio was quick, taking his attention off of the Geodude and used bite when the Poochyena was close enough, the tackle attack hitting his side as he did so. He soon used a spark attack, his bodie sparkling and surronded by a white and pale golden light, shot the attack at the small, black and gray canine pokemon.
Pikachu nodded and dodge the pebbles, a few hitting his side but he ignored it, they were just tiny stones after all. Pikachu was quite a fast pokemon and made his way quickly over to the Geodude, ready to make a quick attack at the second Geodude that had trapped the defenseless Pichu. He wasn't going to let this Geodude beat him. << There wont be any fun when I'm through with you! >> Pikachu told the Geodude, going head to head with it, his move stronger than the over sized moving rock.
Jolteon jumped out of the way, but the command came to late and he was slammed away by the rocky pokemon. << I doubt she is dead! >> He groaned in pain. He got back up, the injury was pretty bad. But he would continue fighting until he didn't have the strength to. He ran at the Geodude, his pelt sparkling once again. << I don't think so! I'm gonna beat you is what I'm gonna do! >> He howled.

<Well we're looking at one..since you're a pet and not a pokemon..> The geodude smirked, the motion soundling like pebbles rolling down a path. With a chuckle he ignored the fiery tempered Pickahu, stupid thing wasn't even worth the breath it took to downgrade it.
The warning fell on deaf ears. The Geodude's saw a giant type advantage, and nothing else. <Really--I see a couple of losers--I think we have the right ones.> Then both pairs of eyes zoomed in on Jillian, and both of the rock types burst out in rambunctious laughter, shaking their heads. <A baby!?> They could take these wimps any day of the week. Their craggy faces became serious as the battle began. After all a true battle was no place for laughter.
The Poochenya yelped as a pair of fangs clamped around the scuff, and he was lifted from the ground, his feet paddled through the thin mountain air futiley. Sparks ran through his body, sending his brown fur thrusting up at all angles. Kicking backwards with his hind legs he attempted to jar himself loose from the Luxio's jaw. The sparks darting aorund his body, and his fur made for a rather comical site, frankly he looked like a electrified puffer fish. With fur, paws, and a dogs face of course. <You made look bad...> The Wolf pokemon blushed as the two battling Geodudes took time out of their battles to laugh at him.
The Geodude battling the Jolteon held his ground, as as the dog charged forward, allowing the ineffective attack to slam into him. Raising a fist he pwoered it downward, hoping to give the dog pokemon a taste of his fury, and the pebbly and directly underneath his nose. <She got squooshed..how can't she be dead!?> The Geodude yelled, laughter escaping from his cavernous mouth. Hopefully this would demoralize the oppenents, and make his job easier. <Well you better have something better then that tackle...> The Geodude chuckled, at least the pair knew humor when they saw it.
The Geodude's eyes spun with the effort of keeping up with the hasty Pikachu. That little thing only had speed going for it--but all he had to do was snap one of its pretty little legs and--BAM! A new toy. <Oh--it's the other way around rat!> The Geodude growled, as the fast moving rodent slammed into his torso. Reaching out with a fist he attempted to grab the Pickachu's foot. Then he hopped up and down once, a tremor was sent through the ground, rocks shot up, and the small hairline fractures in the path seemed to explode into heart dropping crevasses.
A magnitude 4---A attack that was super effective against electric types like Jillian's. A miniature Earthquake if you will. A deep throated chuckle escaped from the Geodude's throat as the ground tossed gently beneath him, jumping up he slammed both hands on the ground, generating a smaller, but no less dangerous "Magnitude 2".
Behind all the shouts, growls and rumblings a high pitched cry of: <WAIT!> Rang throguh the field, but was likely misinterpeted as more white noise generated by the shifting rock.
