Dante held his hand to the sun, as it flooded past his hand, in a sea of warmth and light. He clenched his fist while closing his eyes and gritting his teeth. Slumber just stared at the clouds and noticed how the clouds formed small pictures, as if the sky was telling a story. "Come on Slumber. Enough of this lazyness! Let's get craking!" Dante said happily before rolling back and getting up. Slumber nodded while getting up and trailing after Dante.
"Wonder what pokemon will be out here!" he said, grinning. "Maybe I'll see that Zigzaggon again!" Slumber followed, staring at the back of Dante's head before walking a bit closer to him. Dante turned to Slumber. "Not much of a conversation holder are ya'?" he asked, pouting. Slumber just looked at him before diverting his gaze. Dante sighed. "Oh well." he rubbed under his nose. "Today's still nice. So bring it on!" he shouted, arms open wide as he yelled to the sky.

The sun beat down on the pair relentlessly, only to be blocked by the fluffy clouds from time to time. Above flovks of birds wheeled in the sky, glad that the storms of both snow and rain had begun to dimisnish, and they had a solid week of rather nice weather. The ground was still wet from the last storm, but the sun was slowly removing the moisture. It was in one of these rejoicing floxks that you would glance a odd shape. It was longer then the birds, all four of its wings glittered like polished jade in the sunlight. In place of two taloned legs the odd little creature had four stout hooved ones. Its tan pelt stood out against the blue sky, and against the dark mass of the other flying types.
Then as if they had just noticed the little horse thing the flock began to shift away, their powerful wings easily outdistancing the determined little foal. Who, now exhausted from trying to keep up descended from the sky. It's little hooved feet paddling against the air as it did so. With a sigh it caged its vibrating wings against its back and fell from the sky. Landing on its rear end on the path with a 'OOMPH'. Seeing the dozy drowzee and human the Tapiir chriped out: <WHy good day to you! Such a wonderful day outside! YES YES YES!> it's voice was obviously that of a female. Not to mention it seemed young, and accustomed to seeing odd things lik a Drowzee and a human.

Both of them went silent as their face were blank and emotionless. <It fell..> Slumber said softly. Dante quickly turned to him "Oh now you talk!" he muttered. Slumber didn't say anything. "Annoying little.." he was interrupted by the Taprii. He stared at it. "Is it high or something!?" he yelled, waving his arms in exaggeration. Slumber continued his emotionless stare. <Don't know..> he said, again in a hushed tone. He shot a look. "No one asked you smart ass." He didn't notice the small amused smile on Slumber's face before it faded.
Dante sighed. "Anyway, you okay?" he asked, not much care in his voice. His plan was to catch the dang thing, could be useful for it can fly. "Pretty young to be exploring around right?" he gazed around, knowing that Iradash were very protective of their kids. The last thing he wanted was to be trampled. Slumber made a small sound, while grabbed him before rubbing him on the head in a noggie. "I said stop." he said while sitting while Slumber thrashed a bit, trying to get him to stop.

The Tapiir looked up, and smiled at the Drowzee. <I let myself fall.> She chirped, pushing herself to her toothpick legs, and staring at the Drowzee. Her thick lips pulled away from her teeth in a smile. Until they started talking again. <I was high--and then I fell--you guys could aska me ya know!?> It was rather rude, they were talking about her as if she didn't exist. Her wings buzzed against the short hairs on her back in irritation. Deciding that they would stop being so rude she took a step forward, and cautiously sniffed the pair of them. The tall one smelt nothing like her Pidgey friends, herself, or the Drowzee. He smelt funny.
The little hors like creature ndded, snorting as it did so. At the question it shruggd shee shrugged her shoulders. <Am I to young?> She had no idea. Her mother and father had not told her not to leave, they hadn't said much after that tree had fallen on them. Up in the sky it was obvious that no vibrant winged Iradash flew about with the flock. Which meant that there were not nay. <What are you doing--that he want's to stop?> To her it looked like a display of affection; nothing to be mbarassed or annoyed about.

"Right.." Dante said, obviously not getting what humans meant when they said 'high' now a days. Slumber gazed at her as his trainer stopped giving him a noggie. He rubbed his head, sightly irritated. The Drozee gazed at the sky, left to right, and at the center, careful to avoid the now noon high sun so he would not burn his eyes. He gazed back down, face emotionless, as was his voice. <Nothing.> Blandness covered any emotion that could of possibly been there, not that there was any. "You remind me of plain yogurt." Dante muttered, remembering trying it once. Not a big cup of fun.
"Well, you look pretty young, especially on how you talk." he asked, the now approaching Tapiir as it sniffed. "Anyway, why you out her all alone? Shouldn't you be with your friends or something?" he slowed a bit on his words, wondering if the pokemon would spit them back at him. Slumber snorted but said nothing. He thought of asking it if it wanted to battle, but the thing was already getting drowned in his already asked questions.

<Nope--they'll be back later--then I can follow them again!> The little equine beast said, a grin crossing her delicate features. Behind her the diamond shaped wings flapped happly. Remembering what the human had said earlier she looked up at him and nodded. <That's right!> She had been up there and fallen down, just as the 'right' indicated, of course she was much to young to understand sarcasm. Rearing up on her hind legs she turned her face to the sky, and giggled as the warmth of the sun filled her rather cold nose. Drying the snot that had congealed from her fast falling.
<My family left me out here--> She snorted. Then to show who she was talking about she gestured her nose towards the retreating flock of Bird pokemon. Then she went back to sniffing the odd smelling thing, it seemed so different from the pokemon she had met. Heh ad no scales like the Ekans, no fur like the Meowth, and no feathers like her friends. If he did have fur it was odd and in patches over his body. Judging by the way it blew in the breeze it could be easily removed. Nothing like pokemon at all, it smelt unatural.

"So your parents left ya huh?" he said, eyeing the flock of birds, them may being his next target. "So, you're here alone.." he smiled, though no one would consider it was an 'evil' smile by the way it was warm.
"Hm..." Dante said. Her crossed his arms and thought for a moment. "Say, how about a battle?" he said. Even if she declined, he would still fight her, I mean, he needed the pokemon. Slumber seemed unmotivated at the idea. Fighting...bah, who needed it! But he wasn't about to comment on it. That last noggie hurt....he rubbed his slightly sore head. Thankfully it wasn't red...
"I win, you become my pokemon. I lose....and you get whatever you want, okay?" Hopefully she wouldn't want something expensive...because if he lost he was just cancel the deal.

The Tapiir nodded, although it was confused as to why the human was repeating it. They had left--at least that was what her granny had told her. Tears had dotted her eyes when she had said it though. <I do believe that's what it means--but not ALONE--my flock is up there somewhere> The baby said, pointing her head skyward and twirling her neck to signify where up there was; for extra effect she shook her head. Just to make sure he understood; most humans didn't. Unless they had tails--or looked different from other humans. Realizing this she decided to voice her question aloud. <Why can ya understand me sir?>
At the word battle she turned her head to the side. That meant a fight? What did he wish to fight for? Yet somehow by the smile from earlier she didn't think he was mad at her. After all only psychos smiled when angry, Granny had said soemthing when sheh ad met a Spearow who talked to himself; and attacked for no reason other then 'Rakish' told him to. This guy wasn't a psycho though; even if he did mildy hurt his Drowzee.
The Tapiir snorted, and looked up at the human. She was still very confused aout what was going on. Maybe he had to use that TACKLE her granny had taught her before she 'left'. She had no idea what he meant by 'you become my pokemon' but she sure as hell could go for a Cheri Berry. So reluctantly she stomped a hoove on the ground and nodded her assent; after all what harm could a battle be? And beig his pokemon for a day or two didn't sound to bad to her; and she got her BERRY IF SHE WON! To her that was mroe then worth it. So Dante had no need to worry about breaking the deal.
