Reece was smiling as he approached the lab, having gotten over his jitters and now was hyped up, adrenaline shooting through his bloodstream. This was something he had been waiting for for a long time, and it was time for him to get his starter. This was what he had been working towards, and now that it was finally here, he wasn't nervous, like he had been when walking over.
No, that was gone now, replaced with the anticipation that soon, very soon, he would finally be on his way to discovering all the pokemon of the world, including the legendaries! Well, this first started with walking though the door, which he did, striding though into the lab he had been to so many times, and then looking around for the Professor. It would be good to talk to him first.

(I didn't read his history at first--but James doesn't take employees on--could you add another one of the regions before "Professsor?" Bill wouldm't stand for anyone else until they need a apprentice.)
(I will reply if you do not wish to--but it would be a good idea. )
(Thanks--Sorry for incoviencing you in any way.)

There was the sound of a angry grunt, and then a roar as the boy walked into the lab. A giant hunk of what appeared to be stone in the middle of the room had thrown itself towards the door. The bright bloodshot eyes of a angry Rhyhorn became visible, now that it had opened it's eyes, and all of the anger in that gaze was fixed upon Reece. The creature raged forward, its large horn intent upon impaling the youth.
Behind the Rhyhorn the Profesor stood up, his jaw hanging slack. "No--BILL!" The Rhyhorn continued forward, and it seemed would suceed in its goal of scattering Reece's inaards all over the floor. Then there was a sigh, and a light blue light encompassed the Rhyhorn.
The thing rose from the floor like a leaf on the wind, and the Rhyhorn was soon standing on nothing but thin air. There was the squeawk of a desk chair, and a white lab coat swept past Reece's vision, as Bill the Alakazam toted the large thing outside. The Rhyhorn being pulled along by Bill's telekinitic powers. Then there was the sound of a metal door slamming outside, and Bill strode back in. A large scatch was visible above his ight eye, where the Rhyhorn's feet had smacked into his skull. Not to mention he had the beginnings of a migraine. Both of his coal black eyes swiveled to Reece. "Boy. I do not know if you can read or not--but there is a reason there is a door to knock on." Bill was in ah orrid mood now, and it was this illiterate idiots fault.
The Professor stood up, stuffing a potion back into his pocket. That poor Rhyhorn had been in serious need of treatment. "I am sure Rue taught him his lesson, no need to make him frightened." Then he nodded. 'I am Professor Mahoghany--" This boy looked familiar--though he had no idea why. So he pushed it out of his head for the moment.
This boy was obviously a new trainer. So he waited for him to introduce himself; then after all the simple mannerisms were complete they could move on to treating his pokemonless problem. After that Bill and James coud return to treating the injured Rhyhorn.

As Reece walked into the room, he immediately processed the giant Pokemon racing towards him and acted, diving out of the way as it neared, luckily there was no need to see if perhaps his diving skills weren't adequate, as it started to float in the air, Reece watching bemused. It soon floated out of the room, Reece starting to look around and get his bearings about where his wild dive and roll had taken him, and then saw that had caused the floating giant, a alakazam named Bill aparently, since that was the name yelled out.
It began to chastise him, and he couldn't help but laugh, it was either that, or pass out from shock. And he would prefer not to do the latter. Soon it was quieted by the man, who said that he had probably learned his lesson, and he regained his composure, responding to Bill " I'm sorry, that laughter was totally out of place. Chalk it up to shock. Professor, I'm Reece, nice to meet you." He hoped they wouldn't think less of him after that laughter, it wasn't appropriate, but more of necessary.

At the laughter Bill blinked, and slid his right foot back. His nomrally stoic face was confused to say the least, and stumped at best. But soon his face became emotionless, as usual. "Yes, it was. But you can blame the incident on yourself, or at least your idiocy." Then he was back to his puzzles, piking out three of the colored cubes at random he started to solve them. Taking turns on each one. That boy is insane--shovked or not--Rue is dangerous, not a creature to laugh at. Neither am I for that matter. Every so often he'd pause and drag a three fingered hand across his bleedig brow.
The Professor ignored the clicks from Bill's side of the room, and turned towards Reece. "Nice to meet you as well Reece--OH--you used to be a assistant to another Professor correct?" At least he was pretty sure that was the case. The Professor was ood at names, and he hadn't actually spoke to the boy. So he had to say for a g;ance or two it was good to have remembered at all. "So you came here to receive your first Pokemon?" Although he had to wonder why the Johto Professor hadn't given him one already. He could chalk that up to the otehr professor's personaity though. "Did you see the list outside?" Of course if the incident had scared him enogh, he might have forgotten anything on it. So it was udnerstandable if he did not know the potential choices.

Well, obviously he hadn't won any points with Bill seeing as he spoke harsher than necessary, but hey, can't please everyone. Besides, there hadn't been a knock please sign. Still, as Bill left, he could almost hear the sulking thoughts and shook his head slightly, before turning the to the professor, who recognized him. This made him smile widely, and say " Your right!"
" I was an assistant for Professor Elm for a while." He said, mildly surprised, since he hadn't been formally introduced, just a passing introduction, so it was quite the feat. Still, he asked if he came here to get his first pokemon, and if he knew which ones, which he replied in kind. " Yep, and yes, I saw the sign." He said, not like he hadn't picked it out already, seeing as this had been well thought out beforehand.

(There is a knock sign--Right on the door too--tis in the lab summary) "This isn't a gameshow--And James is very skilled at faces, or at least remembering thme." The Alakazam spoke up, cutting off the Professor's long statement, about where he had first seen the boy. The Professor was not egotistical about how much he could remember, he just wanted all his facts straight. That was why he was about to make that statement. But he didn't want a twenty minute oral story, he wanted the human out. So he would cut off James at every possible avenue, and keep him from turning down the avenue of hours, and staying on the straight path of minutes.
The Professor nodded, at both of the boys confirmations. Then he stated: "Thought so." "You don't have to be a psychic pkemon to know why he's here James." James paled visibly, but then went right back to what he ahd been doing. "So do you have any ideas? Or questions?" Someone who had worked for Elm shouldn't have too many questions, unless Reece had never seen this done before. Although what would keep a assistant of a Prfessor THAT busy he had no idea.

Once again the voice of Bill cut in, obviously he had rubbed him the wrong way, and badly too, but hey, not like he would see them all too often. Of course, he might just be wanting to prevent the professor from talking to much, but he figured Bill just didn't like him. Which suited him fine anyway. As well, he had to clamp his mouth shut to prevent a sarcastic comment from le leaking out of it, since it was just begging to go off on Bill.
James, as the professor was seemingly called, asked if he had any ideas or questions, and he shook his head, he knew pretty well what was going to happen, he would choose a Pokemon, and then get his pokedex. He spoke up though, to tell the professor what pokemon he had picked out for himself. " I figure a Gristle would work well enough. Thats one of my ideas at least."

James was glad that there was nothing else the boy wished to ask. That meant that Elm was doing his job, not that he had ever suspected anything else. So while he waited for the boys next words, he jst smiled. Mostly to fill any awkwardness discovered in the waiting.
Bill was scrutinizing Reece like a hawk, and as he finished his sentence he raised a eyebrow. "Grista--Not Gristle--if you can't say the name properly then maybe you aren't ready for this at all." He stated calmly, his voice emotionless as usual, after all his words held more then enough acid. This guy a Professor's assistant? That didn't seem all that likely--more like servant to his feet.
The Professor shook his head. "No Bill--he is a native to Johto--not Remoor I am sure he could tell us all about Chikorita, Cyndaquil, and Totodile." The Alakazam rolled his eyes, there went the Professor sucking up to the company again. As was normal. "So a Grista?" Looping the top of his cane around his arm, he gestured to the fire pillar. "The one on the far right--should have a light orange flame wing on the bottom." Then as the boy did that he grabbed his pack from behind Bill's desk.

Bill glared at him and he snapped his fingers, since he had pronounced it wrong. Darn. Exactly what he hadn't meant to do. Ah well, the professor had stepped in to save him, which he found was rather nice of him. He was then told where to go, and he did, walking over to the fire pillar and grabbing the one the professor told him to, looking at it and almost feeling the warmth. Ah, his first pokemon. He couldn't wait to release it, but not in the lab, better safe than sorry in that respect.
He then walked over to the Professor and took the pack that was offered, holding it in his hand until he could transfer the contents into his own backpack, and holding onto the pokeball on the other. He nodded to the Professor and said " Thanks. I'll keep in touch." This was mainly because he was sure he would make amazing discoverys!
