At first the Rattata had taken it as pity, and began a nod from where he was pacing back and forth. After hitting the Smoochum he found his nose felt a bit better. Not much, but nough to help his speech lose some of its nasal twangs, and heavy B's. Then the Smoochum finished her statement. <Bi'm berfectly understandable.> He retorted , stopping his pacing and glaring at her. <Bive up! BIVE UP! What is bour problem?! Bat would make Ratty better then be!> That was not happening. If he gave up then rattata would know, and would officially be king of the litter! No way was he letting him get that full of himself! The simple fact was Ratty was a brutish idiot who had way to large of a ego.
The Rattata let a smirk cross his face as the gasping Smoochum hit the dirt. PAYBACK! This isn't that bad after all. This of course referring to battling, and nothing was really that bad when you thought that you were the one winning. Of course the MSoochum did have one hit up on him, but he doubted the tubby purple blob could count. So she had no reason to know that. <I beard bat bokemon die of bot being able to breath in battle.> That was a crock of bullshit, but since he didn't think she could count he didn't think she would know that either.
So amazed was he that his attack had hit that he didn't evn register what the 'it' was she needed to try again. Until he felt her rough purple tongue raking his side. Letting out a yowl he stepped away. Then he began to furiously put his purple fur back into palce, the lick had caused it to stick up, and now he looked like his right side had been stuck in a blowdryer, which had been dropped in a bath tub, and turned on full power. <eeeew....eeewww..bat bas nasty.> He mewled, realizing he was still in a battle he tried to tackle the Smoochum again. That lick had burned! mostly because for her it was cold, cold enough to slow down that sides movement.

<Hardly,> Smoochum sneered, her head shaking slightly. Every word that came out of Rattata's mouth seemed to be plagued with way too many B's! How was anyone supposed to clearly understand the thing? She knew for sure she had to concentrate a bit harder in order to do so.
Smoochum paused for a moment, taking in Rattata's words. <How would Ratty know either way?> she wondered out loud, gnawing on her lip thoughtfully. <I don't see him here to be the judge of that!> For all she knew the rat would simply go to Ratty either way and tell him that he won, even if she had been the victor. Hell, that's what she would have done if she was in his shoes, regardless of the outcome. But maybe the rat wasn't too bright? She didn't know. <But, you know,> she continued, seeing that she was actually giving a form of advice to her enemy, which was outrageous. <Maybe you weren't smart enough to think of that? It's okay, don't worry.>
At Rattata's words, Smoochum raised an eyebrow. <Are you stupid?> she scoffed at him, holding back laughter. She breathed in deeply, still regaining most of her breath. But she knew she definitely had enough to crack an insult at him. Instead of saying anything about the way he was pronouncing his words(besides, she'd already said something about that), she went ahead and simply replied to his comment. <Any living being with a pair of lungs will die if they can't breathe! Regardless if they're in battle or not! How dense are you, Rat?>
Giggles escaped Smoochum furiously when Rattata began trying to smooth his fur back into place. Of course, that wasn't exactly the outcome that she was aiming for, but if she got some laughs out of it as well, she wasn't complaining. And on top of that, he didn't even taste that bad. She got a hint of something like berries, or something similar, but she would never admit that to anyone.
<You got that right,> she managed to mutter in agreement from behind a large grin.
She saw the tackle coming right at her again, but this time, she managed to dodge it quite cleanly. She declared to herself that she wouldn't have the breath knocked out of her anymore, since it was pretty painful and all. Who would even want that to begin with? Not her, that was for sure.
Rey seized this as the perfect moment to launch another attack; while Rattata had been slowed slightly from Smoochum's lick. "Smoochum," he called in a casual tone, as if he were greeting her. "A pound should work nicely now. Try that."
Smoochum's grin widened, if possible, and she clenched her hand into another fist. This would show that rat! She giggled as she dove into another punch, aimed for the opposite side of where her lick had landed.

<bardly not hard to bunderstand!> The Rattata retorted , narrowing his bright red eyes as he did so. This little thing had no right to say what he said was incorrect. She was fat, and didn't have enough fingers to count to ten! He could count to twelve with his feet alone! <Ratty just knows--be's bo bupid bot to!> She did have a point. Of course he wanted to win! She was trying to prove herself better then him, when she clearly wasn;t. So regardless if Rattata knew or not he wasn't giving up, or runnng away, not until she kissed his now dirty fe--on second thought he didn't want her ugly so she could bow instead. <He's bobably watching.> WHich was true, probably watching, and laughing that his oppenent was actually a challenge. <bot bright enough? I bought of it. But cheating and belling lies is bad, they bind up bting your tail end bater.> Which was true, he wasn't stupid. He just knew that ratty would find out the truth sooner or later. So he wanted the truth to be good.
The Rattata took a step back, and scowled, there she went again, insulting his level of intellect, well she wasn't going to get away with that! <Not as bense as you!Banging bout a human--> What poemon in their right mind would do that? It was known that humans could be cruel, and if they didn;t like you they might throw you away. Judging by her looks he'd find something better and leave the Smoochum abandoned on the next route somewhere, and since she smelled of human bait no sensible pokemon group would accept her. <Hmmph. You beren't licked.> She had np right to say anything nasty until she felt a tongue ruffling and freezing her skin like that.
The rattata heard the attack, and the fist whistling through the air. Jumping over it he tried to barell into the Smoochum. Hopefully she'd get the breath knocked out of her again. Ash e was tackling his eyes trailed to his fur, and he sighed. That spot would need to be wetted down in order for him to make it lay flat again. Sadly in the middle of a furious battle he hadn't the time to lay it back down. <Bou missed.> The Smoochum wasn't the only one learning about pain, and how to avoid it. The little rodent pokemon was learning about it rather quickly as well, being hit hurt quite badly, so the goal was not to get hit that much. A easy lesson; learned the hard way.

Smoochum's head tilted to the right slightly, acting as if she couldn't understand Rattata, just to prove her point. <Alright, then...> she simply said, her voice trailing off. Of course, she knew exactly what the Rattata had said, but she didn't want to keep flinging insults about his speech back and forth. Plus, what he had said, she just couldn't think of anything better to think up in response to that... junk. Maybe junk is putting it too nicely? She giggled. She realized that Rattata could possibly have no idea why she was giggling, and that only made her giggle more.
<Fine, fine,> Smoochum finally said, shrugging. <That's not a big deal. Though, I do believe you'll be quite disappointed when you have to report back to him regarding your loss.> She wondered if Rattata's brother was really that interested in what his brother did, whether or not he could actually beat a Smoochum, and one that traveled with a human no less. <Who cares if he's watching, though? All he'll witness is you losing to a fat little Smoochum.> She grinned, but was quickly beginning to run out of things to say.
When she heard him practically insulting Rey, Smoochum huffed in anger. How dare he say anything bad about Rey?! Sure, she had heard little rumors about humans not taking care of their pokemon, or just flat out abandoning them, but she knew for sure that Rey would take perfectly good care of her later on, so she definitely had no worries about anything related to that.
<Thank god,> Smoochum said playfully in response to Rattata's disgust with being licked.
Smoochum growled to herself when her attack completely missed. How could she miss? If anything, the simple fact made her even more angrier. And before she knew it, Rattata was already lunging toward her in another tackle! Would this rat ever give up? She hissed and stumbled out of the way, falling to the ground in the process.
Replying to his taunt, Smoochum merely nodded. <You did too.>
"Get up, Smoochum," Rey urged, and the pokemon simply turned to her trainer.
<I have a plan,> She replied, wishing he could understand.
She turned back to Rattata with a smirk on her face. <I doubt you could hit me again,> she challenged, hands moving to rest on her hips again. Hopefully her words were enough to provoke Rattata into attacking again.

The Rattata had officially given up trying to say anything of any moral value to this Smoochum. She just smartmouthed him. Well who needed taunts and insults when you had quickness, beauty, smarts and strength? No one. <Bou balmost bade be stoop below my level.> No more taunts or insults for another few minutes at least. Biting the inside of his lips with his beaver like teeth he worked hard to keep his mouth shut. It was a chalenge thouhg ,every muscled move of the Smoochum, every twitch of its jaws made him want to shout out deragaotry terms for obese. Of course that was below him; that was almost somethign Ratty would do.
< I do--> Why did he care if that smart alecky, piece of rodent was watching? He was useless. So why did his opinion matter so much? <Because be beeps baiming he's btter then me.> Hell he was older, and bigger, that didn't mean he was better ta anything, except knowing more about life, and wrestling. Not that those counted! All that he(little Rat) knew was much more important. Now he was making himself look bad when he taunted her--if he knew how to make a lick hurt like hers had--well that nasty fat thing would receive a taste of her own medicine! Sadly he didn't. <I bidn't trip.>
Then she started taunting him. At first it was easy to hand back, and ignore her stupid beckoning. Then he looked at her. Letting out a growl he hnkered low to the ground. Running straight ahead he ground to a halt right in front of the Smoochum, jumoed and tried to tackle downward. Hopefully ruining whatever dastardly plan she had in store for him. <I ban too!> He snarled back. He knew it was a trap, and stupid, but she infuriated him.

<God forbid you stoop below your level again,> Smoochum muttered dryly, suppressing a small giggle.
It was obvious to her that Rattata was rather agitated, but she just couldn't help messing with him. It had almost become it's own battle, aside from the physical one that was currently taking place. Dodge an attack, throw an insult. Maybe even get hit, but then just throw another insult.
Rey took a small step back, an eyebrow raising involuntarily. Of course he had witnessed battles on television, thought about what he would do in someone else's shoes, but he had no experience in a real battle, on his own. So naturally he was confused. Shouldn't they just be going back and forth with attacks? he wondered, fighting a grin. Maybe they have a thing for each other? He chuckled at that idea, highly doubting it, considering the way they seemed to be conversing.
<Why don't you just battle him yourself?> Smoochum simply asked with a hint of curiosity, subconsciously wondering why she was even bothering to give him advice. Why should it matter to her? It shouldn't! She didn't know Ratty, nor would she ever! She didn't have to worry about the competition going on between the two, yet for some unexplainable reason, she still felt the urge to keep answering.
<Obviously.>
Of course Rattata didn't trip. Smoochum rolled her eyes, though she was actually wishing she was more agile, wishing she could dodge these attacks more easily. Hopefully that wouldn't have to keep going on, though. Note to self, she thought, trying to ready herself for whatever move Rattata tried to pull next, start jogging alongside Rey from now on...
Taking a deep breath, Smoochum stood perfectly still until Rattata was right in front of her. She wanted desperately to throw a pound at him right then, but thankfully he jumped out of the way, forcing her to stick with her original plan. As Rattata began coming back down, toward her, Smoochum quickly jumped up from the ground and stuck her pink tongue out, ready to lick. This lick should get him right on the head! Maybe it'll paralyze his brain or something. But hopefully it'll at least make his mouth stop working!

<If you stopped baking me baybe I wouldn't.> The little purple rodent stated firmly--ignoring the dryness that laced the Smoochum's voice. Thinking back to his earlier statement he paused--that was MAYBE not BAY BE! Not that he would rise to anger at her tasing him for a speaking impediment she herself had inflicted on him. That was like setting hismelf up to fail, twice. He wasn't letting her get two victories out og a single attack!
<Because he'd--> CHEAT! The word win was not in his vocabulary; especially when it involved someone else doing it. Of course in all reality he was afraid he'd win, and become even more egotistic. Behind the little Rat his tial lashed bacn and forth furiously, all this banter was annoying him. Mostly beecause he was losing, he usuall bantered with those who used forest insults, but with her he doubted they would work. So he had given up on that route. SHE HADN'T EVEN TAKEN THE TRIP COMMENT AS A INSULT! Did she get flustered by anything?Besides being called fat, and her trainer being called worthless/evil. Those got old, even for his mouth.
The Rattata grinned, twisting in mid air he went to tacle downwards at her. Only to feel her sandy , purple tongue grind into the white skin under his chin. Both of his red eyes widened, and he let out a loud whine, one of disgust, it was hard as hell to clean his neck fur! Yet here she ahd went and ruined it! His head flew back, and he tumbled through the air, landing on all four of his feet. Shaking his head he glared at the Smoochum. Jumping forward to tackle her he felt a odd tingling sensation flow down his body, and he fell face first to the ground. Leaping up he went to tackle her again, this time his body stopped mid wya through but the tackle itself kept on going.

<Then just drop it,> Smoochum said simply with a small giggle, growing tired of this Rat's stupidity.
He had "dropped down below his level" several times already, so why was he all of the sudden concerned with something like that? The statement he made merely baffled her, but she decided she wouldn't even let that get to her anymore. The rat didn't have to make sense. She didn't need to understand him. The only thing she really needed to do was defeat him, then all would be well again, and she could go back to resting on Rey's comfortable shoulder.
Smoochum took a few steps forward, examining the Rat as he suddenly stopped in mid-sentence. Because he'd what? Win? She had to giggle at that, since that was probably the truth. Though, in reality she had no clue what would be the outcome of that, and if she was being honest, she didn't really care too much about it. She danced back a couple of steps to where she stood previously, waiting for who knew what. Maybe Rey would just tell her to go crazy and attack with everything she had? That would probably be fun...
When Rattata let out a loud whine as she licked him, Smoochum grinned triumphantly. That sure showed him! Not only would Rattata's "perfect, beautiful" fur be so mussed, tangled, etc, maybe he'd be stuck right where he was. She wasn't sure what the word for that was, but she sure enjoyed it when he couldn't move. So happy that her little scheme had worked, she turned around to face Rey, hoping to find some sort of approval on his features.
But, Rey wasn't looking at Smoochum. His eyes were focused on something behind her, and she tilted her head in confusion. Why wasn't he keeping his eyes on her? She was doing so well! It was like he didn't even care! She was about to jump up and down to get his attention when he finally spoke. His voice was a bit hurried, something she'd never expect from him, and that made her stop.
"Smoochum, turn ar-"
She didn't hear him finish, as she was hit from behind by that rat. Her back immediately began hurting as she flew face first into the dirt; there would definitely be some sort of bruise there later. She pushed herself up, just now figuring out what Rey had been looking at before she was tackled. He had been keeping his eyes on Rattata, watching to see if he could still even attack. Obviously he could.
"Smoochum," Rey said softly. "Are you alright?" His voice almost sounded pained. She nodded, and Rey knew he wouldn't have to give her another command to attack.
<This rat won't be, though,> she said darkly as she stood, facing Rattata.
Without bothering to throw another insult at the poor purple rodent, Smoochum lunged for him with a pound, her stubby fist clenched as tightly as possible.

<I bas going to. Bou brought it up.> He squeqked irritably. he had completely dropped the subject, and as bad experiences usually did she had to come and drag it back up. Rolling his eyes he turned away from her. Wiggling his nose as he did so--now it just gave out twinges of pain when he moved it. So that was a bad idea, which meant that sniffing anything for a few days was a bad idea, not that he wanted to smell the fat ass smoochum anyway. The Rattata paced back and forth, that one patch of ruffled purple fur was bugging the hell out of him! -- (TIME WARP) The Rattata let out a giggle of victory as he hit the Smoochum. Of cours it was kind of embarassing that he landed draped across her back as he did. Scrambling his little white paws against her rbbery sides he managed to fall off, and land in a sitting position at her side. A smile crossed his muzzle--even if it was a accident he had hit her--and now they were evened up. It felt good to hear the pain in her trainer's voice, there was another point for him.
Yet when the Smoochum spoke chills rained down his spine, and he staggered to his feet. One didn't need to be psychic to know she was pissed. WHY!? He was playing by the rules! Her fur--or whatever it was was unmussed! She had deserved that hit.
Taking a step back he looked up at the Smoochum, even he knew to keep his mouth shut, even if it was about hwo great he was. He watched as her fist clenched, and then she swung. Jumping backward he landed on his feet, which gave out, and was left sparking, just for the end of the powerful Pound(PUNCH)tp rake him on the edge of his snout. A yowl/growl escaped from his mouth as he thrashed about. <MY NOSE! MY NOSE..MY NOSE!> He wailed, making it worse by repeatedly hitting it on the ground. Now that he was able to get back up he fixed the SMoochum with a stare, one that could freeze molten Lava.

Feeling the Rat land on her back only seemed to infuriate Smoochum more. When he giggled seeing her in pain, she shook her head. There was no plausible reason for him to be doing that, was there? Though, she had to admit, she may have deserved it... She had, after all, laughed after every single attack she made, and especially hard if the attack happened to hit. Once Rattata was off, she could actually breathe, and actually think rationally. Should she wait for Rey to give her another command, or just attack at her own accord?
After Smoochum's attack hit Rattata, Rey winced. The intensity of Smoochum's attack actually surprised the trainer, and he almost felt bad for the small rodent-pokemon. But that was it's own fault, right? He did start the battle... He bit his lip, unsure about the answer to that question. He watched as Rattata began thrashing around, complaining about something, of what he wasn't sure. But still, it sounded like it contained a whole lot of... pain, so it was probably(and logically) the aftermath of Smoochum's pound.
Smoochum eyed Rattata as he stood, watching him closely to make sure he didn't pull another surprise attack when she wasn't looking. He was giving her an extremely cold look, one which she could barely muster herself, and a small thought allowed itself to creep into her mind. What if this Rattata was much stronger than she thought? What if she couldn't win? She had licked him a couple of times, and he was still standing, even after all of her pounds.
<What, no comeback? No new insult?> Smoochum finally asked after shaking those unacceptable thoughts away.
There was no way she would let this battle go to Rattata! Sure, he looked like he was in pain and all, but that didn't mean she felt bad for the little rat. He was already giving her death glares! Rey, on the other hand, was having second thoughts. Maybe he shouldn't order his pokemon to attack again... Maybe this was far enough.
"Er, Smoochum..." Rey said calmly, getting ready to call off any attacks.
Luckily for Smoochum it was too late. She was already lunging toward Rattata, her hand in a fist once again. Hope you're ready for this, she thought, fist swinging.

<Bi bon't need one.> The little purple rodent (Rattata) hissed, tears streaking his muzzle. Now he was sure his nose was broken! The pressure from even a drop of water sent the pain receptors in his mind into a wild frenzy. His nose was one giant pain factory, and it was her that had sent th machines and employees back into manufacturing, and off their very short layoff.(Employees being nerves)The aching in his snout was the real reason he didn't want to insult her, it hurt much to bad. Even squeezing out the preposterous memory above was almost more then he could bare, hopefully the Smoochum didn't notice. The little ass!
The glare was in all truth a way to ward off predators, and the only way not to show his fright, or at least not show it enough for the dense Smoochum could grasp it. Showing your fear was inviting others to exploit it. She was not getting a invite to do that--he was not going to fear her, or flinch back from her stupid fat fist.
Turning his throbbing head slightly he wached as a hesitant Rey piped up. Was he now ging to take it back!? Say that the Rattata was better? OUT OF PITY, WHICH WAS UNACCEPTABLE?Well he never found out, scooting back he managed to dodge the clenched fist, and watched as it came back up, a hole in the ground. Waggling his tail behind him he jumped forward, both eyes squeezed tightly shut, salty tears flowing out. He didn;t want to hit his nose, so this tackle was tail first, and he had curled up so most of his bodyweight was distributed to his bottom half. His nose was elevated high into the air, so as to avoid damage, of course this meant that he couldn't see what the smoochum was doing. <Bou shouldn't---> Their was a gasp and fresh tears flowed down. <HIT BY BOSE BAGAIN!> This was snarled, angry trying to cover up his true pain, and his fear.

<You don't need a comeback?> Smoochum wondered innocently, feigning confusion. <They seemed to work pretty well earlier, what with distracting me and everything... So why would you want to quit now?>
She giggled yet again, unable to hold it back any longer. Of course those insults he had thrown back at her earlier caught her off guard for a few seconds, long enough for his damn attacks to hit, but she had practically figured out that those were only distractions and that she shouldn't even pay attention to them. If she did, she'd just end up like him: beaten to the point of tears. Thank god I don't have a nose like that, she thought with blatant relief.
Smoochum growled under her breath when her simple pound attack missed again. However, she watched as it hit the ground, leaving a considerable dent in the earth. That one surprised her. Had she, in all her anger, not noticed the force she put behind her punch? No wonder the Rattata was in so much pain!
Her forehead creased with confusion when Rattata decided to try tackle again, though this time it was kind of... backward. His rear end was coming at her instead of his head, but that was somewhat understandable. But, still! She didn't want that nasty tail of his in her face, or even coming after her for that matter! How disgusting. But I suppose his nose hurts too badly... No worries. I'll just have to beat the backside of him too, I guess.
She sidestepped away from the tackle, now facing Rattata's side instead of his rear or head. He really should watch where he's going.
<I shouldn't what?> Smoochum asked, waiting for him to finish his pathetic gasp. <I wouldn't hit your face if you wouldn't face me every time!> She laughed, though it was more like a one-syllable bark. <Even I know that! That's why it's called dodging.>
Rey bit his lip thoughtfully as the two continued to banter, trying to decide what else there was for his Smoochum to do. He figured the longer Rattata was awake, the more pain he'd be in. So naturally, if he was out for a few hours, he'd just wake up with a wicked headache, or something. He wasn't exactly sure, but he knew his pokemon should probably do something soon before she became distracted again and got hit once more.
"Smoochum, maybe you should just finish this with a pound," he said, though his voice sounded a bit farther away than before.
Smoochum gladly nodded at his command, this time without even turning to look at him. She eyed Rattata carefully, making sure that he wouldn't suddenly take her advice and actually dodge again. Though, if he turned toward her again, only to be hit in the nose again, she supposed he deserved it. But, maybe he wouldn't feel it too much, considering most of his front was paralyzed. Maybe should could lick his nose to make it go numb? No, why would she take pity on him? After all the name-calling they've both done? It'd be utterly pointless. She shook her head and jumped at the rat, swinging for his side.

The Rattata remained stagnant, his nose thrust high into the air. He had no other reason then it hurt way to much to supply insults to her own. So he pretended to be ignorant; or not care about anything she said. Inside his skull his mind seethed with injustice, it wanred to reply with barbed comments! It sent volts pricklign around his fur, not all of these visible, even as he sat there the fur around his head slowly rose up. Turning his well manicured neck into a mane.
The Rattata landed on his rear end, his tail between his legs, pushing himself up, he looked in front of him, then under him. Upon lookig underneath he glanced a shadow to his right, and he immediately turned his head in that direction, remembering the compromised position he was in he sat up, let his tail slide out, then sat back down. Both of his pained eyes watched the Smoochum. <But belse b'm> Pausing here he shuddered. <bupposed to it you bith!?> That was painful, even a sentence as short as the above, it hurt to speak. <but if I bun baway how am I supposed to win!> You couldn't win a battle just by dodging you had to lash out and hit back sometime. Well you culd tire out your oppenent to the point of exhaustion by repeatedly dodging, but by then you would likely pass out as well.
The Rattata listened as the human spoke, and blinked? Another fist? Another pound? This time he knew what to expect, and the more and longer his nose throbbed the less it bothered him, in fact it helped him greatly when he needed to concentrate in battle. Pressing his back feet to the ground he reared up, once agakin keeping his snensitive snout out of the way. Turning on his hind legs he brought his upper half down on where the Smochum should have been, call it a impromptu tackle. After all his lungs were burning ,seeign as breathing to much hurt; and he being as unexperienced as he is had restricted his airflow. Lessening the stress on his nose, but increasing that on his lungs and oxygen depleted muscles. Not to mention all the hits everywhere else had tired him out as well, he wa amazed that smoohcum wanst bleeding! Or at least having a hard time breathing! Maybe she was stronger then he thought!?

Smoochum tilted her head slightly to the side as Rattata's fur began bristling, yet he continued to say nothing. What, he was just now beginning to get this angry? She hmphed to herself, thinking that if she had fur, it would have been standing in anger as soon as the rat attacked Rey. And why isn't he insulting me? she thought, feigning longing, even in her mind. That's what was making this whole thing even remotely fun!
Hmm... Understanding the poor rat was becoming increasingly difficult, yet she wanted badly to understand, just so she could mutter something rude in response.
<You don't run away the whole time,> she mumbled, raising a non-existent eyebrow. <Only to avoid attacks...> She stopped and shook her head. <But why am I telling you this? That'll only give you an idea on how to win.>
She wanted to laugh at herself then. Why would she even bother telling Rattata something that could give him an advantage? She had to admit, it was a stupid move on her part. Though, she figured it wouldn't affect the outcome of this too much. If it did, she'd curse herself for letting Rey down. Hopefully he wouldn't be too upset if that happened. What am I thinking?! It won't happen!
As soon as she realized her pound had missed yet again, a large frown swept across her face. But before she could say anything about it, she found herself underneath Rattata, who was reared up on hind legs. The air came out of her in a quick whooosh as she fell to the ground, and she was soon gasping for air once more. How could she be so careless as to let this happen?
She coughed harshly as she tried to get some air back into her lungs. This... Rat... Her eyes lit up, then, as if she had some sort of plan. Without further thought, her rough tongue escaped her mouth as she leaned upward to try and reach the belly of Rattata, perhaps to catch him off guard.

<but bouldn't that make it more fun!?> The little Rattata questioned. He found that the harder of a time she had understanding him, the less infuriating she became. Either that or was just used to her by now. <But bhen you try to hit them you leave bourself open.> Ratty had said he would lose because he was afraid to take risks, and that's what battle was. It is all about opening yoourself at the right moment to deal damage; and not take any for yourself. Of course to our little friend all it meant was a bad fur day. <belling me makes you better.> Maybe she was just illustrating the principles she hadn't learned yet.
The Rattata smiled. Yelping as the muscles in his snout contracted to do so. Yet some part of him made him happy to have hit her back. It had hurt his muscles to do so, realizing that gloating liek this was what had earned him her rage, and his broken snout. So he slowly backed away from her. Gingerly lifting his torso to do so. This Smoochum may have given him battle advice but it was obvious that she wouldn't let him win. She desn't care about how I look to Ratty--she wants to look good to that human. Rey was it?
Sitting down he waited for her to get up, even though the more cowardly part of him urged the tackle to end it all. Leaning his head over the gasping Smoochum he opened his pained snout to make a snide remark, about beached Wailmer. Then he was met by the familiar sight of her lavender, sandy tongue cutting the air inches from his nose. His eyes widened in disgust and he slunk away. <That is sooo nasty--bave bou been yo bongue?> Seriously had the Smoochum even looked at her tongue before touching it to others? Realizing this was a battle, and that she had caused the ache in his snout he dove forward in a tackle. This time angling his snout towards his chest, and cushioning the blow if he hit. (EXCUSE THE MAJOR SUCKINESS--tis better then what I have been doing lately)[/size]
