It was early afternoon, sunlight still flickered trough the forest, stronger then it was most hours of the day. The light banished most of the shadows but left a few clinging to trees and bushes, which was a bad thing for the poor femake strolling through the forest. Both of her green eyes dashed from the forest floor beneath her, to the shadows on either side of her. This place was constantly noisy when no storms were about. Every distant pawstep was agony, a Houndoom watching her, a hungry angry one, with flaming red eyes. Clenching her hands she continued weaving her way down the path. As usual the hood of a blank onyx hoody was pulled down over her face, hiding all but her bright auburn hair, and green eyes in a maelstorm of shadows.
Next to the girl a Statilee walked. Both of his arms were folded over his chest, and he rolled his eyes everytime the girl started. Of course she hadn't turned and ran away yet, which was a good sign of progress. <Come on Aubre--Arceus--You make a Ratatta look knightly> Behind him the path back towards Barkwish town weaved, the last barks of the Police patrol dogs faded from hearing, and so did the constant tremor in Aubre's knees. Had she walked this path so many times that she had no need for the map in the yellow pack on her back? Or was she to afraid to expose herself to grab it? Who knew.
Aubre glanced down at Achilles, and knew his words were anything but kind words of encouragement. "'I a--m rea--lly surpris-ed we haven't run into any other pokem--on yet Achilles." Unlike when she was around humans her speech was almost whole, a few breaks and stutters were inserted, merely because this was Achilles she was talking to, and sometimes he could be just as bad as any human.
Achilles met Aubre's green eyes with his own orange ones, his narrowed, and her face turned away. It was then that he went from the boring old Shrubbery to the new gleam he saw on her belt, his pokemball wasn'r on the right side. It was full, he could tell that much. When had she obtained a new pokemon? Not from the town..and he had spent little time inside his Pokeball. Oh yes the adoption center. Waiting for her eyes to flicker to the left the Dragon leaped forward, and pressed where abouts the button on a pokeball would be if that was what the gleam was.
It was. A flsh of red and a yawn later found a little fish staring evenly at the dragon. ,<Who are you bub?> It questioned. Stepping forward, the fish glanced up at is new trainer. Who was now tremebling again, waiting to be eaten or some such nonsense. <So this is the mouse eh?> Achilles nodded, shocked that his trainer had picked something so surly, and dominate. Nothing like what he would expect. She needed to choose better, <Laan.> The Fish stated , receiving nothing but a snort and a halfhearted: <Achilles> Neither were impressed, although both dragon and fish thought the other should have been. [Sorry if the post sucks XD]
STOP STARING AT ME! The Meowth thought to itself as it looked at a tree while in the midday process. Trees were everywhere, and it seemed like they always had his eye on him. In fact, the Meowth was still in his little burrow, looking up at a tree outside. No, he wasn't cowardly, as that wasn't the case in his eyes. He was cautious, and trees, having been around a lot longer than he had, were sneaky little things. They snapped at you if you weren't even looking! One lookaway was all it took for the Meowth to receive a snap to the head and fall back. In fact, the snapping was pretty hard, for it had scratched his most prized possession: The shiny metal atop his head. The Meowth put his paw over the shiny metal part...and felt that cursed scratch. For it was that event which made himself so overly cautious of the forest.
After the little staredown of the tree, the Meowth took steps out of his burrow and scurried out toward another area. Thankfully, it seemed the trees were sleeping, as they made no attempt to knock himself off-course and leave another scratch on his prize. <Take that you green and brown species! For the cat has outsmarted you today! After he had remarked that though, he soon found himself darting his eyes around himself for any traps or snags of any kind. For his cautiousness had struck again, and he even put his hand over his mouth in case the sneaky things struck. The little buggers... They want my prize! He thought to himself, petting it as he went on the think so. After taking another look around himself, the Meowth scurried out of the area again.
Now where was he? Oh yes.........MORE TREES! The Meowth was surrounded by them. He hadn't lived here long, so he always felt like trees were always surrounding him. He took more looks out of caution; they've obviously outnumbered him. Widening his eyes, the Meowth made a mad dash to another side of the forest....where he crashed into a tree. <WHY?! Why must you torture me so?! Why?!> Caution only goes so far as the Meowth asked the tree why the tree went on torturing him as if nothing happened. It wasn't fair! He reached a paw for his metal prize, which was, fortunately, unharmed besides the other scratch. Well, at least that was something to celebrate.
Just then, he turned his head and realized that there were others....right next to him actually. The Meowth widened his eyes; this was not expected. He observed the girl and the Pokemon with her with darting eyes. The Meowth was still cautious, but the group thing was surprising. He usually found himself in a maze, or labyrinth of trees. But now...he found some sort of civilization. Wait a minute...this could be my ticket out of here! But then the Meowth got shaky in the knees...the Pokemon did look intimidating. Maybe he should've stuck with the trees....
<I.....I.....> The Meowth was too shaken up to talk. He was still observing them cautiously, yet shaking at the same time. Did he deserve this? Was this the trees' faults? The Meowth gulped a bit as his nervous and shaky self observed them weakly.

The blue fish turned his head away from the electric dragon and rolled his eyes. This fellow was as infuriating as all hell, most would be kissing his fins by now! <What kind of name is Ah-kill--ees eh?> Slapping a fin down on the path both creatures swiveled their heads to hear the first crys of the arborial-plant fearing Meowth. While Achilles rolled his eyes Laan scooted forward, using his fins to pull himself along. The bright blue scales of the fish stuck out like a sore thumb and the drab forest, and he really didn't care. As the sound of pittering foorsteps, and uickly escaping breath grew closer the little water-types smirk seemed to grow. Scaredy cat, and he could tell by the tone of the voice alone that it was a cat they were dealing with.
Behind him Achilles began sparking, intentionally directing some the way of the small fish. <What kind of namee is Laaaaaaaalan?> he inquired, of course it was mumbld at a volume that was likely indecipherable to the fish. The sounds of the footsteps grew closer, and the pairs eyes narrowed farther. <But out old one. I wish to deal with this 'threat'.> of course the shaky tones in which threats were yelled to some unseen foe, made it obvious this was no threat to anyone, unless it attacked his useless little trainer. The worst it could do was rip a hole in that odd black second skin she wore.
Aubre took a step backwards as the Meowth appeared on the scene. Those things had claws! They were dangerous too! Of course unlike Houndooms they weren't known for biting and spitting fire . Of course her reaction made it seem like he could have been. Claws could be more dangerous then teeth. "U..mmm...."(at least it wasn't a scream) Clutching her arms around her torso she took a few steps back, glancing at the shivering Meowth, her tremors were hidden by the layers of clothes she was wrapped in, yet it was obvious that she was frightened. This would be her first ever encounter with a wild pokemon. Even if in battle school she was top-notch, out here things were different. The environment was pitted against you, and anyone could be a Leo disguised as something else.
(Filling in for the fish, and his unfinished statement:) <I wish to offer my humblest apologies for barging my--> Achilles began to reply, his smirk replaced with a look of anguish. Before he could finish his sharp barbed object another voice cut in, the one with the odd accent. Damnation. Why had Aubre picked up such a useless creature? <Tan furred ass in this clearing--bow now before we sick the trees on you.> Unlike Achilles face his was now fixed in a friendly smile, and he was glaad his trainer couldn't understand. <Wanna eat him Killeez?> They really wouldn't do such a thing, if they tried Aubre would go berserk, not that either of them knew that. At the moment the trainer thought they were having a nice conversation, and the Kreem was being civil, or mroe so then Achilles.
There was a quiet beep as Aubre' s shaking hands pulled a pokedex out of her bag moving slowly so as not to anger the Meowth. 'The Cat Scratch Pokemon:' (You can make this up.)

<It was you?!> The Meowth was shocked. <You're the one that's been threatening me all my life, telling the trees to strike me at unknown times?!> The Meowth was too shocked to strike the Pokemon before him. He couldn't, actually; they looked intimidating. But the Meowth once again got hung up after he made that remark toward the Pokemon. His voice was actually a bit shaky in his earlier remark; he hadn't seen any of these Pokemon in the forest before. The tall thing before him was also very foreign. But it seemed that she was somewhat related to him when it came to new things. That didn't comfort him though; the Meowth was still looking wide-eyed at both the Pokemon and the thing.
Soon, he heard an almost mechanical voice or something ring through his sensitive ears. He had no idea what it was saying, honestly, and it made him tense up more than he already was. Wait a second...eat me?! How are you going to do that...?!> The Meowth didn't want to be eaten; he thought his cautiousness was a good thing, but it obviously didn't help him by meeting these individuals. Even the trees had not made such a statement to eat him, and they always tricked him! The Meowth was both plain confused and tense. Could the Pokemon and the thing all eat him? The Meowth shuddered, thinking that it was possible, but he didn't want it to happen. He's never been hunted before...only tripped and mocked, but never hunted! Since when were Meowths at the bottom of the food chain?!
The Meowth stared, still wide-eyed and observant at the Pokemon. It seemed the thing couldn't really understand them, though he was never too sure; he hadn't observed long enough to know. After all, she hadn't talked or spoken yet. <P-Please don't send the trees on me or eat me... I just happened to run into you guys...> The Meowth's voice was still shaky, but something had to be done. He couldn't just sit there and wait for the pain to come. All he could do now though, was talk and stare. The cautiousness within him told him to do just that; stare and try to speak, but not to attack or give dirty looks at. Oh, what did he do to deserve this?

The Kreem was always amazed at the gullibitility of others. <Not just us. We take shifts you know--bub. Sleep is a wonderful thing> The fake mockery of a smile was still plastered on his face, and was there to keep his trainer from being alarmed. Of course that little mouse was more of aa figurehead then a trainer, she was even frightened of this scruffy furred, shivering meowth. Who knows what would happen if one that wasn't shivering came through!? Girl would probably scream, and hide under the nearest log. <The trees work for us.> Achilles timed his comment with a breeze that ruffled the sensitive feathers on the tips of his ear like horns, and this breeze set the tree branches rattling. The Kreem had to struggle to resist cackling.
If laan was calming the Meowth why was it looking around like that? Aubreh ad seen someone else do that before, exceept they weren't ganged up on, and had been standing by themselves in their bedroom. Besides that she could tell by Achilles smirk, and glowing eyes that they were being anything but polite. "Ach--illes...?" The yellow dragon turned his head, snorted and turned back to the Meowth, dragging his feet forward, the Kreem beside him following suit. In all reality the only one who was large enough to eat a Meowth was Aubre, and they all doubted that would happen, which was why they didn't see why they couldn't have fun. If they couldn't battle--besides a little scrawny thing like this would lose quicker then Aubre would run from a Houndoom.
<Chop ya up into little pieces..of cours' bub.> The fish purred. He too ignored the question from the trainer, and let the smile slip off his face. Causing his trainer's eyes to widen in alarm. Not that the pair cared. He couldn't very well say he was going to eat the cat without looking hungry. That smile didn't make him look hungry, not at all. This flat face, and glittering eyes did.
Achilles lifted one clawed hand and rubbd his belly. A smirk covered his face that was so large it hurt the muscles. Volts ran from in between his teeth. <Grovel, and we might let it go..we don't like being bothered. Interrupts our servants actions. Now we have to go grab her lea--> WHAT THE HELL!? AUBRE!? Was that some sign of a backbone?!
The Girl had slowly moved until she was standing to the right of the pair of pokemon. Trying her best to look angry, but herrshivering, and the tears dotting her eyes told a different stories. This brought up bad memories, Achilles and Laan playing the role of Leo and the poor Meowth was laying the role of one of his many bullying victims. Not her though, he wasn't bleeding on the floor, halfway between life and death. "I h-ave no i--dea wh--at thy sai--d to ma--ke yo--u so sca--red. B--ut --I o--ffer up a ap--ology for the-m." Oh now Achilles and Laan would be pissed, and she had to live with them. What if they tried to eat her?
Underneath her the Kreem let out a growl, and slapped a fin to his forehead. She was way to nice, she would apologize for the bloodspot she left if someone tried to stab her.

Ahead of them, the green brush shuffled. Stangmar prowled, remaining concealed, watching. He had come up in the middle of a conversation between a group of Pokemon and a lone Meowth. He appeared to be in a spot of trouble. Stang perked up his ears, listening intently.
"...Eat me?! How are you going to do that...?!"
"Chop ya up into pieces, of cours' bub."
"P-Please don't send the trees on me or eat me... I just happened to run into you guys..."
"Grovel, and we might let it go... We don't like being bothered. Interrupts our servant's actions."
Suddenly, another of the bipedal creatures piped up behind them, mumbling something incoherently. An attack command, maybe? No matter, he had to step in and stop this.
He blazed out of the bush, sparking like mad. He came to a stop between the two parties, and stood, poised to fight. He turned, speaking swiftly to the Meowth. "Conceal yourself. Run. Just get away from here. I'll cover your escape." He motioned for him to do so quickly, then turned to face the pack of brutes and the biped, who he'd dubbed as 'Shadow'. "Is that at all fair, the three of you picking on the poor thing, all by itself... And scared, no less. You should be ashamed... Here, try me on for size!" As he said this, he rampaged towards them, Sparking. The primary target was the fish, he could likely destroy it with one good hit. Cackling with rage, he sped forward, the wee Kreem in his sights.
These were no friends of his.

[To Feather: I didn't want a Pokemon you seemed to like run away, so I'll let him stay XD]
There were way too many things happening at once for the Meowth that it caused him too much confusion on what he should do. Striking the Pokemon that were threatening him was a possibility, but he refrained from doing that due to fear. Could the Pokemon before him really chop him up into little pieces in order to eat him?! What was the world coming to?! And here he was thinking that trees were dangerous enough with their sneaky ways... Too many darting glances of the Meowth's head was taking place, and he didn't know what to do. The girl who stuttered didn't really help much either, for he was way too confused to understand what in the world was going on! All his looks were looks out of caution, fear, and plain old confusion. <I....realy don't understand...What would you guys want with a Poke-- The Meowth was interrupted from a Shinx who stepped out in front of him. Gah! There were too many things going on at the same time, that Meowth had no time to think!
The girl trainer seemed nice when she seemed like she was speaking to him, but the Meowth didn't know what to believe. After all, he didn't really understand the girl besides little bits and pieces, which were hard to understand because of the stuttering...and she didn't seem to understand him. Great....just great... The Meowth thought to himself as he started cautiously observing the Shinx in front of him now. The Meowth then slowed his darting thinking process down that way he could start breaking it down on what was exactly happening to him. By what the Shinx told him, it seemed that the blue creature who came out of nowhere was trying to protect him by telling him to run away. Run...? Back to the trees? No way! The Meowth thought within himself as he thought about running away. <Not to the trees!> The Meowth stated wide-eyed; he was not going to go back to those trees this time. What if his prized possession was taken away by those sneaky little buggers?!

(518) The Kreem looked up as the Shinx burst onto the scene. The current anger he had felt at his trainer was replaced by a urge for battle. Narrowing his sea green eyes he stared levelly at the Thunder-pup. <Two bub? Aubre is about as useless as you.> Yes she was. Nothing to be done he wagered, hopefully she'd stop all this groveling shit, according to Achilles she knew how to battle. Which was why his gaze flickered to his trainer, when he heard the challenge given. Yet it was obvious by her backpedaling, and whimpering she was to be of absolutely no help. <If ya want to lose bub, be my guest.> It didn't matter if he wanted to or not anymore, Laan's blood was up, and he was rearing to go. If this stupid thing thought it could win with a type advantage alone, it would soon find out differently.
Aubre looked as if a ghost had risen out of the ground and had began to throttle her. Both of her eyes were opened wide, and the tremor from earlier had spread, and the wide dazed looking eyes were focused solely on the Shinx. Of course in her mind she wasn't protected by Pokemon , facing a little electric canid. No in her mind she was protected by nothing more then a thin silk blouse, facing a giant Houndoom. Blood flowing down the formerly white fabric staining it pink, and unbelievable pain. The hot crackle of fire, the crunch of her own bones, and the cackle of Leo. Tears pricked at her eyes as she backed up, tripping over a branch and landing in a sprawled heap in the ground. Slowly shaking her head, and her face buried in her hands, yet miraculously the hood had not moved. Tears were obvious, if the wet spots on the path were enough to go by. After the hospital, she had never made a peep while crying. WHY HAD SHE DECIDED TO GO BACK OUTSIDE!? When Shit like this happened!
Achilles turned to attack the Shinx, but found himself butted out of the way by the glory hog of a fish. Who, jumped aside, and dodged the attack at the last minute. Letting the Shinx fly past he nodded to Achilles. <leer 'killeez> The dragon did as he was told, glaring at the little four legged creature. Then with a nod at Laan he rushed forward in a Pound attack. Jumping up, and turning a somersault, as the Fish rushed at the Shinx from the other side. His fins pounding the earth, both eyes closed, so as to avoid the vision obscuring mud he was sending upward toward the Shinx.
Aubre would know what to do.....yah right.. What little faith the dragon had in his trainer had now evaporated. A little thing like that had turned her into someone fit to be inserted into the Asylum. <Meowth, move out of the way, before I eat you!> The dragon snarled. If he wanted to unleash a electric attack, he didn't want to hit the Meowth, he had a idea after all.

"Damn! Missed!" Stangmar, now feeling somewhat cornered, backflipped out of the mud-spray. The damned Meowth didn't even budge an inch! "Hmmm... And I expected that blasted cat to help me out... Forget him! I'll just have to improvise."
Coolly, Stang took a step back, and examined his surroundings. There were several large trees on either side of the dirt-covered path. "Might as well use 'em to my advantage." Ignoring the Statilee, which was staring at him quite intently, he bolted away and to the right. Coming up to a tree, he jumped onto it and kicked off of it with force, propelling him like a Sparking cannonball towards the Kreem.

The Meowth was now more confused than ever as a battle formed right in front of his eyes. A shout of a familiar Pokemon told him that he was pretty much unwanted in the battle, so he scurried over toward the human. Though he was still unsure of what he was supposed to do, the human seemed to be the only one that didn't mind his presence. The Meowth didn't like feeling unwanted; it didn't feel good at all. So he kept a bit of a distance from himself and the human, in case she tried anything, and kinda, well, meowed a bit in hopes of getting her attention. <Hey Human... Um...> Now he didn't know what to say to her...
The Meowth took it literally that the Pokemon could eat him, which he was afraid of, though he wondered how the Pokemon could chop him into little bits. If anything, the trees' sharp snags could cut him up, but a Pokemon? Still, the Meowth shuddered at the very thought of being cut up. He put another paw over the metal piece on his head and smiled; at least he would always have that to be proud of. The scratch on it from the sneaky trees though was upsetting...it was no longer perfect after that happened. A sigh escaped the Meowth's lips as he thought about it. Just then, he thought he saw a nearby tree smirking at him, or perhaps mocking him after wind passed through its leaves. Widening his eyes, the Meowth scurried closer to the human; he would rather be by a human than a tree for all he cared right now!
The Meowth spotted the Shinx that told him to run back into the trees, exactly where he didn't want to go. Why would he help a Pokemon who told him to go back into the place exactly where he didn't want to go? The Meowth observed the battle as he saw the Shinx use the nearby trees as help or something. This made Meowth widen his eyes with wonder and amazement; why didn't the trees attack the Shinx?! <Oh why is life so cruel?! You trees! It's all your fault...> The Meowth cried out at them, but immediately ducked after crying out the dangerous comment.

Achilles snarled as the Shinx darted away, and he and Kreem narrowly avoided a Head-on collison. Both turned to glare at the leaping Shinx. Chicken. Then it hit him, this type advantage could be combatted, easily. Leaning over Achilles shoved the Kreem, who rolled over, and upright. His light blue body now covered in a sheer coat of mud. Both of his eyes were narrowed, but the next words out of Achilles mouth caused him to shake his head. <AUbre said something about that to a little water trainer fighting a electric type.> The Kreem replied with: <You actually listen to that sobbing baby over there?> He could take care of himself, why did he need some electric dragon?Or a trainer?
Achilles jumped in front of the cannonballing Shinx, sparks coursed down his body as he did so, and he pushed forward slightly, in a improvised Volt-tackle. It did the job, and would likely keep the Shinx away from the Kreem. If it hit anyway. The little dragon was sent tumbling head over heels through the mud after the collison. Sitting up afterwards, he realzied the world was still spinning even if he no longer was. Damnit. Ignoring this he tried to fix the spinning world on the Shinx. Beside him the fish had charged forward in a flail attack, the ground scraping his underbelly in the process.
Aubre heard the Meowth, and turned toward him. Shivers still shook her body, and streams of tears contined to run down her lean pale face. Yet in the alley there had been no concerned cat. Nor had she been on the ground, a stick tickling her backbone, that had been teeth, and claws. The past and the dark alley, with the scowling eyes seemed to evaporate, but if she looked at the Shinx it might reappear. So she looked at the Meowth, still stuck somewhere between her nightmate, and theh appenings of the time. The battle behind her being the one between her and Leo, one that she would willingly lose now. Yet the sound of Achilles being thrown to the ground beside her snapped her out of it. "P--lease sho--o Shi--nx..."
Achilles turned toward the Meowth, who had snuck closer to his trainer. <No--he thinks we were scaring you--well--hurt--oh nevermind.> That stupid cat wasn't even worth his damned TIME! The only thing that mattered was that wretched Shinx. <Come on bub!> Oh dear god. That Kreem had him saying that to. Well at least Aubre was back, bawling her eyes out, and shivering but back. Really the only difference in her normal attitude was the whole crying thing, in fact her voice was much louder then it normally would have been. Although he had no idea why she had went into hysterics in the first place.
Aubre's eyes widened as the Meowth snuck closer. To her he was that little kitten she had found in a garbage can, the one she had saved. He was now one of the top battlers at school "Y--ou won't ea--t me right?" Better this then that damned Shinx.

Stangmar, now caught between an easily avoidable Statilee and a tree, took a moment to think. "Hmmm... What in Arceus' name do I do now? Bah, no time to go into details." He decided to bite the Volt-tackling bullet, and quite literally, in fact. He stood his ground, opened his jaw wide, and clamped down in a Bite attack as Achilles slammed into him hard. Grimacing in pain, he tossed the Statilee at the Flailing fish with great power and force.
He was about to tear after them, when, quite suddenly, 'Shadow' spoke. "P--lease sho--o Shi--nx..." "What the devil?" He thought to himself. "Since when do they speak coherent words? But back to the matter at hand... Why would it want me gone? Besides the basic reasons... It seems like this biped is less in control here than I thought." He turned towards Shadow, and glared... Examining it, trying to assess its situation. It almost seemed that it was the slave here. Deciding that it could be spared, he retracted his claws. He would do as it asked. He'd shoo... for now. With a final look towards the bipedal green-eyed creature, he grinned, and spoke. "Alright then... I'll leave you. But I will see you later, be very sure of that."
And with that, he scurried off. And in the deepest fathoms of his mind, he prayed to Arceus for her safety.

The battle before the Meowth was somewhat getting complicated. He could see the battle before his very eyes, but he never really got to the concept of battling. The only experience he's ever really had was the trees snapping and snaring him while he tried clawing at them. He couldn't really understand how the Pokemon battling knew how to battle, or the concept. Did you have to study the concept of battling? Oh what a complicated world! Thought the Meowth to himself, stealing a glare at one of the trees before quickly looking away. The wind coming from one of the trees made the Meowth's hair almost stand up...they were watching him, and he knew it. Those damn sneaky trees were everywhere, and he needed to get away from here. Maybe somewhere...where there aren't lots of trees. Maybe...a savannah? Nah, too dry. Another breeze of wind interrupted the Meowth's thoughts as a shaking feeling went through his body. <Stop torturing me! Please! What have I ever done to you?!> The Meowth desperately asked the trees, yowling.
Shoe Shinx? What was that? The Meowth heard the human speak after the Shinx had jumped in front of one of the other Pokemon. He didn't understand what a Shoe Shinx was though? A shoe, yes, but shoe Shinx? The Meowth widened his eyes; did they have it in them to make that Shinx into a shoe?! Just then, he saw the Shinx retreating. This made him a bit uncomfortable as he started to understand why the seemingly brave Shinx retreated. Now I'm faced with Shoe makers! The Meowth blamed the trees; if it wasn't for them and his panicked state, he'd still be in his burrow....only to face more trees glaring and staring at him. <Stop staring at me...> The Meowth grunted, while watching both the trainer and the other Pokemon.
The scattered words of the other Pokemon had Meowth in another confusion. What was with these people and stuttering? Sometimes he stuttered, but not as much as these people. Or maybe it was just scattered words... From what he had observed so far, the other Pokemon didn't seem to be the stuttering type, more like scattering words, if anything. Then again, they're both similar, one being out of nerves and the other being out of-- His head was starting to hurt; how messed up was this event making him?! There was only one answer: the trees. They were somehow brainwashing him into thinking hard, that way his head would hurt, and then he'd surrender! <Agh! My head!> It seemed that the Meowth was believing his own words and ideas and he held his head.
Eat? Eat her? Oh she must be joking. The Meowth had no intention of eating something as big as the human standing before him. He shook his head as a 'no', because if she had heard him and understood his past few lines, she'd probably guess that he wasn't capable of even attempting a feat such as trying to eat someone like her. Since the Shinx kinda retreated, the Meowth was becoming uncomfortable again. Now the Pokemon were going to threaten to eat him again. The Meowth already had the trees to deal with! And now he had Pokemon! Too many people want to eat him! It was ironic how the human was uncomfortable about how he was going to eat her, while he was thinking about being eaten himself! In a way, they both had similarities to each other. <I don't think I am capable of eating any of you...> The Meowth said, just in case there was a slight possibility that she could understand him.

Pain blossomed in Achilles tail as the Luxray latched on to it. Well that hadn't worked very well! At least he had caused some pain, and learned a few things that were not good to in battle. When the Shinx jerked his head:
Achilles was sent flying through the air, the world around him blurring in and out of focus. Until everything blossomed in a kaleidoscope of great pain, upon impact with Laan. Both of Achilles orange eyes rolled back up into his head, and flutter as they might he couldn't keep them open. Achilles had lost, horridly, but not shamefully, that Luxray was a full five levels stronger, and it was only Achilles second battle after all. Of course he had never finished the first one. The chest of the now mud colored pokemon moved up and down slowly. Laan was trapped underneath him, trying to use the wetness of the mud for traction.
Aubre's face became one of alarm as her spirited ittle dragon bowled into the aggressive fish, who was now splashing about uselessly in the water. Yet the Luxray was still about, and she had looked at him, fire, blood, and the black lean body flashed through her mind, causing her to hug her knees and draw them up to her face. She was useless. She couldn't even help Achilles. Aubre couldn't understand the parting words of the Shinx, but she somehow grasped the meaning of them. The last parting glance, and the smirk on his face cemented the idea in his mind. The second the Luxray was gone, she pulled ot a pokeball. It was almost in a trance like state that she returned the Statilee, for the first time in the whole journey. Achilles had been her rock, and Laan hadn't been tried, but he hadn't made a single attack hit, unless you count the fact that the rebounded and harmed him.
The kreem was tired as well, but when she raised a shaking hand he shook his head, and gazed at the Meowth. If not for the set of his eyes the fish dripping mud would have been almost comical. <Trees do not stare bub. They don't have eyes!> Now he was pissed, it had been a long time since he had lost. <The trees hate you because you annoy them, it's your voice.> Maybe the trashing of his idea and then the revival of it would shock the Meowth into shutting up. Of course he was talking to his trainer not him. <I cannae beleive the attitude of that damnable little Shinx!> Pausing to catch his breath the fish continued to work himself into a tissy. <Walking in here like he owns this place, he don't own no such thing bub.> Then he laughed, anger and isanity mngling together with shock. <The way he acted it was as if he had never seen a human before!>How was he to know that Aubre was only the third human he had glimpses?
Trying her best to remain calm Aubre turned back to the Meowth. Poor thing seemed to have ah eadache. Taking a shaky breath she reached into her pack, and pulled out her Watmel berry. Which she gently rolled toward him, pokemon usually didn't mind the shells getting dirty. "Umm..i--t might he--lp if you don't fee--l well." In reality a Meowth with a full stomach was less likely to eat her then one with a empty tummy. When the Meowth shook his head she nodded slowly. Alright.
Laan scampered across the grass peering up at his trainer. Why had she been crying? Had it been the Shinx? They way they were treating the Meowth? Or something else entirely? She had been frightened before, but she had never complained about the walking, or cried when she was frightened. She may have been frightened of everything, but her spirit was bright, for how little of it was left. She could endure quite a lot. Useless as she was. [/blockquote]

The Meowth felt unwanted with the other Pokemon again. Trees did have eyes! They could probably see everything! The fish wasn't the one living in the forest like the Meowth was, so he wouldn't know. But when he explained why the trees hated the Meowth, he started to get sensitive. <What do you have against me?! I never did anything to you! And now you're hating me just like the trees are hating me!> The Meowth did not cry, but he was getting quite sensitive about everything: the Pokemon, the trees, the battle, even himself! Emotions were hard for the Meowth, though he wore them on his shoulders many times.
When the fish changed the subject, the Meowth breathed a sigh of relief. At least he wasn't bashing him anymore; another bash and who knows what else the Meowth would've done. He was already on the verge of crying, considering how young and pressured he was in the moments that passed. The Shinx's attempt at trying to save him probably brought another soul that did not want him in the world. The thought that the Meowth wasn't really wanted in the group made him sigh. The only one that didn't seem to mind him, was, once again, the trainer. He wondered why she didn't seem to mind him since he seemed to be proving just in the way for all the others around him. So he was in silence for the moment; what did he have to say that was important anyway?
A berry? The Meowth cautiously put his paw toward the rolling berry as he looked up at the trainer who gave it. He was hungry, considering that he hadn't eaten since last night when he feasted on some scraps in the grass. He took the berry and ate it graciously, clawing the shell out; it filled him up as he chewed it. When he was done, the Meowth looked toward the girl who gave it to him with a smiling face. He was glad that she seemed not to hate him as he cautiously and carefully went closer to the trainer. Then he was about one or two inches away from her leg as the Meowth tried looking up at her. <Thank you> The Meowth tried to purr, to show his appreciation that he wasn't unwanted with her at least.
