- And welcome back to RNN, Remoor National News. There has been no word thus far on the search for the rogue Tauros known as Tornado. Wanted for killing two people, this pokemon is considered extremely dangerous ... - Bzzt. The channel was changed to pokemon racing and a round of approving cheers went up around the bar as patrons took the next five minutes before the race began to put down their bets. Sitting at a on one of the stools and drinking a pint of ale sat a man in his early twenties with blue eyes and dirty blond hair. Tristan 'Tris' Skeldale's eyes wandered, occasionally pausing on a woman before moving on.
Beside him standing four and a half feet at the very top of the ears and thus just passing under the maximum pokemon size allowance for the establishment was his faithful Espearth.
"Pearrrth?"
"No no old boy. She is pretty but hardly has the depth of a parking lot puddle. I do have standards."
Espearth responded with a neutral "Speeea", bringing out a chuckle from Tris as he felt the emotion behind the vocalization.
"You're right. I am that superficial. Go on then."
Espearth weaved through the crowded bar to the black-haired bombshell, careful not to step on any toes as that would be unforgivably rude. Rather than approach from behind and risk scaring the woman, he took the long way around and approached from the front so she would see him coming. She did, and once they made eye contact he bowed deeply and gently brushed the back of her hand with his nose.
"So sweet!" The woman cooed. "And so polite! You must be an Espearth!" She kneeled down and he enjoyed the sensation of her slim fingers running through his ruff.
