Lykaios smiled, and dodged to the side before launching out a well-aimed bite attack. He smiled before baring his teeth at his opposition. Battling was fun, and it was even more enjoyable when the opposition actually gave a challenge.
Meanwhile, Koppu stood nearby, yelling orders to Lykaios as he watched the battle. He needed to win, he was lonely with only Lykaios to talk to, and he needed more Pokemon to become a great Pokemon master, and prove everybody wrong. He would show them all that he wasn't just some crazy lunatic kid, and make them know that he was somebody!

The Hoot-Hoot had hit the ground rolling, his eyes closed to prevent grit from damaging his already sensitive eyes. Glad that some gland in is overly large head prevented him from becoming dizzy quickly. Although it didn't prevent him from becoming winded. Landing flat on his broad face the flying type let out a frustrated sigh. That hadn't worked out how he had hoped--OW!WHAT THE HELL! The Bite hooked into his flapping right wing as he tried to bring himself back to his foot. Clacking his beak together in pain the Hoot Hoot spun his head around, and decided to make use of the contact between him and the bulkier pup.
Leaning back on his one foot Long swung himself forward like a heavy headed hammer. His beak hoping to score a hit, this Poochenya had already ripped a few feathers off. Now he was to get what was coming to him. Karma came in odd forms, yes, even in bowling ball shaped birds with the name Lond. Now he may have justified it with karma but in truth the bird was just rather angry. What if those had been important flight feathers? The only way to see would be when he dodged next.

Koppu noticed what was about to happen and cried out +Twist!+ This wasn't an attack, it was a strategy he and Lykaios had created over the years. If, during a bite attack, he was bout to be countered, and he was about the same size as his opponent, Lykaios would do something painful.
Lykaios smirked, but still held on firm, and bit down harder before using his back legs to begin twisting, which would cause more pain. Hopefully, this would stop his opponents attack.

The Hoot-Hoto was spun, his beak going way off target, andd causing him to fall forward, this time his leg kept him from hitting the ground. Letting out a angered squawk, which was often a growl, in his species, he hoped to lessen the pain. Not caring to be 'twisted' again the Bird, pulled backwards, disengaging his wing from the mouth of the Poochenya, flapping it he was glad to see the only feathers lost had been unimportant, and in fact useless space, of couse the little Beast had scrapped the flesh between his feathers, causing little drops of blood to sprinkle down onto the path. No matter, it didn't hurt as bad when that mutt was no where near it.
Hopping forward, and keeping his extremeities close, the flying-type charged forward, his left side, and the unbleeding side the most vital. Tis charge was of course aimed at Lyakios.

Lykaios smiled, taking the attack to the side for what seemed on purpose as he spun around due to the force. His back leg was now bleeding, but he didn't care as he lunged at the bird with a tackle attack. He needed to cause as much damage as he possibly could.
By now, Koppu was just standing back. Lykaios was much better off on his own, as he knew what he was doing. Lykaios only blurted out orders in battle when he was doing gym battles, to make it appear like he was in charge.

The Hoot-Hoot stumbled backwards as the Poochenya tackled into him at close range. Of course he soon had stopped his backwards slide by jamming his claws deep into the ground, and pushing forward. Hopefully his superior size would push the littler pokemon away from him. Both of his red eyes had narrowed slightly, this little pup was no one to mess with. Not that he truly believed he hadn't been trying. Lower level or not he could be formidable. The human had given up on orders, which likely meant that this little pup worked better alone.
Jumping away from whatever nasty trick the Pooch had in store for him the Hoot-hoot let out another growl. Better to be able to endure more attacks, at less pwoer, then dodge a few at higeher power. How much longer wouldh e take these attacks before he tried to run away? He really needed to decide on that now. At the moment his wings were temporariyl forgetten, no doubt this pup could leap up and grab his leg before he had even made it two feet from the forest floor. his bowling ball body wasn't made for jumping away either. To round, and to easily stopped by tight squeezes.
